Pixel Art 13 is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from OMG!!! I have all of the Pixel Art games. Each time I finished the latest one, my thought was, "I wish there were more edge to edge pictures." PA13 has given me the most enjoyment! Edge to edge pics predominate. The stand alone items, while not E-to-E, are large and very satisfying. I love the landscapes, Renaissance portraits and still lifes. I hope the developers keep going to the impressionist art world for their product. LOVE IT!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No Muss, No Fuss. No Changes Either! Except for the first two, the pictures in the first level are nicer than in the previous game. However, they still must be completed before moving on to the other levels. I guess we will be forever stuck with this unpleasant feature. The devs continue to ignore the requests from their customers. They apparently don't care about making any kind of changes that would enhance and bump up the fun-level of this game. This 13th release offers nothing new. As usual the finished images are very small and blurry. The beauty is lost entirely which is a shame after the time spent painting them and waiting to see them come to life. The beautiful colors don't even make a difference if I can't see the image clearly and enlarged. There are other issues as well, but I sound like a broken record, time after time, with the same complaints. However, Pixel Art does offer mostly nice images. I could do without the cars, food and childish images but they've really come through with more of the larger pictures featuring a lot of detail and shading. These are really fun to work on and present a good challenge, each taking a good amount of time to complete. The Zoom and Double Click features are very helpful, but I try to use them as seldom of possible which prolongs my enjoyment. Moving the image around is another great assist. I also love the array of beautiful colors. The more, the merrier when it comes to painting, especially when it involves depth and detail. All the shading really brings the image to life. I do think a variety of background colors would be a good thing. It is available in some of my other paint by number games and I really enjoy the color all around my painting, much nicer than plain old grey and black all the time. But a thin black border around the picture would make it easier to spot the same color that might be around the edges by separating it from the background. I am definitely a Pixel Art fan in spite of the complaints I have mentioned. It would be great to see some new features and a larger variety of subject matter. I always wonder why some devs are not motivated to enhance their games to please their customers. Seems it would be a win-win result. There are never any tech issues, the custom cursor when turned off is very precise in a smaller size and 80 images provide a good amount of entertainment. Paint-by-number games are a wonderful way to relax and there are no age barriers, nor special skills required. I hope Pixel Art brings more enjoyment to us by including some improvements in future releases. Try the demo for some artsy fun.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the shading and all the colors I totally enjoy the large amount of colors, the shading used is wonderful and truly makes this a cut above the rest. I play all different ways so I never get bored. Like I work one corner till it's completely finished then move on, or choose a color at random and fill it till it's done then try another color. Now what could be better: Allow us to decide what color we want our background. Give us the choice of picture we want to color. How long we want to look at our completed pictures and have a gallery of them, so we can look at them all at once. Increase the amount of pictures. Let us have a option to use every color & shade we want to color with in a free play section and where we can install plain line art (game adds grid) and we can color it our way Give it up, we don't want or need goofy pictures. Refer to HeavenBound7729 list for anything I forgot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from STILL FLAWED AFTER 13 GAMES! Don't get me wrong, I love Pixel Art games, but the Mac versions are still not centered and this PC version was showing up so huge I couldn't even see the setting tab to select Windowed Mode. Since no one bothered to fix these issues, I won't bother to buy them or give them a higher star rating. I try to play the game but it's incredibly frustrating to have to play a game that is worse than windowed mode because it's not even centered! I've seen other mac users complaining about this issue in previous games, and I have personally been complaining about this issue in each of the games, hoping the developer would try to correct this but they don't seem to care? Recently I played the newest game by this developer called Modern Art and I fell in love with that game, yes, even more than Pixel Art! The colors are textured like a true oil painting and the completed pictures are true works of art...I guess they are Modern works of Art (but again, same issue) There's not a whole lot to have to figure out, it's about as uncomplicated and basic as it gets so as long as someone can recognize numbers, they should be able to play! Pixel Art is a computer version of Paint by Numbers, in a pixelated version! Each pixel has a number and you chose the corresponding color bubble from the palette (also numbered) on the right side, and you simply left click to fill in all the numbers with the correct color, you can hold the mouse button and swipe through large groupings as well. There is a Slider Bar that allows you to zoom in & out (there's a "fit" tab as well) you can also move the entire page around by right-clicking and dragging. There is an auto-fill feature that will fill in large groups of pixels in a particular color by double-clicking, but that feature has to recharge after each use, besides, it's more satisfying to color them yourself. The last feature is a slider bar that allows you to change the color of the background, it really only allows you to change the colors in shades of grey to black. When you get around to fixing these issues, I'll go back to giving the game 5-stars as well as purchasing them, till then, I'll pass on both, you can always join me at my new forum thewoodsforum.boards.net

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I think they've gotten lazy?! I have the whole Pixel series and find these so relaxing while I watch a show. I have favorite pics I do over and over. I always enjoys changing my approach to finishing a picture...sometimes I do them one number at a time to in blocks or all the greens etc. Pixel 13 is not relaxing....it is annoying. Let me count the ways: **The pictures are very dark, blurry and unimaginative. If they are going to choose detailed pictures they need change their approach (smaller pixels?). The pictures are dark..so dark that I wasn't sure what one still life picture was of. One is so dark that it is hard to make out the numbers in the pixels. **Fix the annoying problem of not being able to flip to the next level until you have finished a picture. Now I'm stuck with a game I'm NOT happy with because I couldn't preview it. I have all the pixel and modern art games and it's sad that this is a complaint of many reviewers and it's being ignored. **There is a world of pictures out there but they can't seem to get someone to choose pictures that cover a spectrum of topics, styles and colors. This actually has a pic in it from another pixel game. I know the creators of this game can do better because they have already

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ick I was drawn in by the very nice pictures this game was supposed to make. After playing a round or two, I wasn't able to figure out what the pictures were. I think Pixel is really going down hill
