Fairy Godmother Stories: Little Red Riding Hood Collector's Edition is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved this game! You're not going to have to put on your giant thinking cap for this one, but it is a cute fun game. In this world of uncertainty, it is perfect. I really enjoyed the other games in this series, and do love Domini games. Other reviewers went deeper into the story line so I will not. You do get the magic wand which you don't use much. The puzzles and HOS are fun. It is a very lighthearted fairly easy game which is exactly what I was looking for. Colors are nice and bright. There are lots of things to find such as collectibles, coins, etc. You will have fun finding those. It would be really nice if people filled out the section for their favorite games on their reviews. I've found many awesome games by others' recommendations ! I recommend this game. Enjoy and have fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tongue-in-Cheek It Is! For me, this is the best game in this series--so far, anyway. It is true that there is a lot to do but the pace of the game is steady without a lot of back and forth. I play Match 3 (Thank you, Domini) rather than the HOs but I enjoyed the mini-games; some are new variations on older games (I think). All in all, the storyline and game play are well integrated IMO. I found the storyline a whimsical look at fairytale land where irony seems to abound. The Three Little Pigs, I think, are my favorite in this modern take on old themes. It's not quite satire and too kind to be sarcastic so tongue-in-cheek it is. This is not just your good and evil story, not that there isn't that, too. Well done, Domini! The Bonus Chapter is not related to the main story. It is a short one and straightforward story. It pales in comparison to the main game but the pace is good with storyline and game play well integrated so not a lot of back and forth. It seems to me that no matter the series, this developer is adding depth to their storylines in these last few months. I really appreciate it, Domini Games!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A twist on fairy tales ..... I rather enjoyed this game. It was still a "good guys & bad guys" story, but it had a unique comedic twist that I found refreshing. It had as many mini games as HOGs if not more and I found them quite challenging. There was a lot going on and it kept me deeply immersed for a good part of the day (including the bonus game). i hope to see more of these storylines..........I recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A KID'S THEMED GAME MADE FOR ADULTS...I'M CONFUSED! Fairy Godmother is back for her third adventure in Fairy Godmother Stories: Little Red Riding Hood. Domini Games need a reality check with regard to this edition. Why make a children's game ( that's too difficult for them to play) created for Adults (that will interrupt this as too juvenile to even WANT to play it) I just don't understand their reason for doing this??? Furthermore this game suffers from lack of innovation with regard to its gameplay. The adventure portion of the game is incredibly straightforward, doesn't remotely incorporate "Out of the box thinking" and leaves the player wondering "What demographic are they making this for"? . Also, even though this game has a massive volume of tasks to be completed, they are all cookie-cutter tasks that recycle a lot of the same-old HOPA tropes. Most tasks make logical sense given the context of the game, but there is also a handful of silly, out-of-place ones, including the totally unnecessary Magic Wand gadget. Domini Games exercise more creative control with the hidden object scenes and the puzzles and introduce a slew of neat ideas, but not nearly enough to save the game from being just another indistinguishable entry in the Domini crank them out as fast as you can make them machine. Whether it be Labyrinths of the World or Dark Romance, Domini Games’ signature colorful visuals are always present. Fairy Godmother Stories: Little Red riding Hood fits right into the studio’s neon-colored portfolio. As a fantasy-themed game, Domini Games CAN DEFINITELY AFFORD to experiment more with its visuals and graphic, which it does so occasionally (yes occasionally). The audio components are this games saving grace in bringing the game to life, from soundtracking the game’s magical landscapes to inserting personality into the characters. As for the voice over and text reading, I wish they wouldn't require us to hit "continue". Just let the character say what they need to say and give us the option to skip if we're "over it". Accept my apologize if my review reads more like a rant...but I just don't understand? And for the record, I'm a big fan of Domini Games too! This edition has a standard length of just under four hours, plus an extra hour from the bonus chapter *which does offer answer to questions missing from the main game. The Collector’s Edition is filled to the brim with extra items; a strategy guide, wallpapers, concept art, soundtracks, videos, replayable hidden object scenes, replayable puzzles, achievements, collectibles, and morphing objects that can be purchased. Cheers!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from interesting game - not many challengers though I wish there was something in the middle of "good" and "excellent" in the scoring because this was better than good but not excellent. I would probably has scored it 3.5. i purchased this game when it was on special (1/2 price) i don't normally purchase CE games because i can't be bothered looking for all the extras however as this game was on special i purchased it after playing the demo. I liked the demo it was funny for example the three little pigs - so this had lots of potential but didn't seem to raise to the challenge. The hidden objects were interesting - pairing and lists (with a little twist) - better than the run of the mill hidden objects. I would have preferred if they mixed them up a little e.g. not do consecutive pairing and the consecutive listing. Why not pairing and then lists etc., I liked the puzzles - (had them on easy) - next time i will try hard. Old enough i know how to rewind a cassette tape - so it was good to see that in there to just add that little bit .......... The bonus chapter was a little bit of a let down - what happened to the music (very little or none). Overall i enjoyed the game - but would never pay full price. 1/2 price or the same price as a SE version it appeared to be OK. Try before you purchase - happy gaming :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Who are you making these for? Look, it is dumb to make the player collect shiny sparkly things to charge the godmother wand, then give immediate swirly purple power to the one who steals it. It is dumb that the player goes uninvited into three separate houses(though there is a "detective" on the scene), only to use a fork to pull out nails, torch (with many parts) for cobwebs, and a corkscrew to open a drawer (all mine open even without the pull, thanks). These are silly, even if you never encountered them in at least a few hundred other games. It's more demeaning than childish. Look, Big Fish, I am tired of being "gamed" down to. This is a clone of previous mediocre (at best) games, not awful, just childishly simple, straight forward, no brain power needed. I like to play the occasional easy going ones, just don't want a dumb one, its irritating. There is no game to this game, if you know what I mean. I find myself replaying older, better games, hoping for better times...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from HEY THERE LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD EVERYONE KNOWS YOU'RE JUST MISUNDERSTOOD Completed Game approximately 5.5 hours (including completion of all mini-games & CE Bonus Chapter) 25 Main Game Scene Locations +10 Bonus Chapter Difficulty Range: Beginner-Intermediate What we have here is a Big Bad Wolf who's not really so big or bad and a Little Red Riding Hood who's not so little anymore and is definitely good at pulling the sheep's wool over everyone's eyes. Fairy Godmother goes on a wild Mother Goose chase and finds herself facing Gulliver-sized proportion problems...and yes, once again she loses her Magic Wand marbles! [turn page] ZZzzz, this is another long, drawn-out Domini fairytale that nearly put me back to sleep and made me wonder why I left my warm and cozy bed this morning? I was so excited for a new HOPA game (I was busy last week enjoying time with my granddaughter and newborn grandson :) that I kept on playing even though chapter after chapter I was faced with a pile of dirt to dig up, finding random treasures in a pile of ashes, multiple piles of dried leaves that could have easily been kicked aside yet I had to go overboard and find a giant leafblower (and all the attachments, etc.) and at one point, a ridiculous contraption that attached to a drill!! I lost count of how many cobwebs and spiderwebs I torched or dusted, the animals I fed or scared away, the locks I picked, the smoke I dispersed, the wheels, doorknobs, and handles I replaced or the 3 inches of ice I melted instantly. The screws were numerous but I'm here to tell you that Taleville couldn't possibly have a nail left intact anywhere, it's not humanly or inhumanly possible. I removed nails with anything and everything imaginable, hammers, bottle openers, forks of every shape and size, salad forks, dinner forks, dessert forks, breakfast forks, lunch forks, baby forks, blue forks, green forks, invisible forks, 2-pronged forks, 3-pronged forks, at one point I think I used a spork, I even used a hair come for Cinderella Sake! Gadgets/Helper: Naturally, Fairy Godmother has a Magic Wand which isn't very magical because it requires finding 3 magical charging chrystals to recharge it after a single-use. The magic wand is used 5 times in the Main Chapter and 3 additional times in the Bonus Chapter, accompanied by a puzzle or mini-game of course. (the mini-games vary each time) Collectibles & Morphing Objects (CE Version Only): There are 15 Morphing Artifacts and 15 Quilt Patches that are fabric swatches belonging to various characters in Tale World such as the Little Mermaid, Scarecrow, or Cinderella. There are 61 Zoom Zone Button Coins that can be used to purchase 15 Pantry Items which are fantasy-related items such as Unicorn horns. but they basically just sit on a pantry shelf and couldn't be more uninteresting. Domini never changes this scenario, they don't even change the number of collectible other than the value of the coins or the names of the collectibles... how thoughtful? There is an optional Collection Icon Tab that can be enabled or disabled in the settings menu as well. Hidden Object Scenes: There are 13 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter and an alternate Match 3 Game available, which btw, doesn't allow you to make consecutive matches quickly. (you have to wait for all tiles to stop falling before you can make the next match which makes the game seem sooo slooowww) There are a ton of simplistic Listed Item Finds and Keywords in Sentence Finds which were super easy and super boring. There were also Interactive Listed Item Finds, Replacing items into the Scene, Finding ? + ? + a Photographer, Finding Objects that don't belong in Portraits, Swatch Finds, Matching Card Finds, Combo Silhouetted Shape Finds, Placing 12 Beans in the correct pots according to the clues shown, all of which can be completed within seconds because the objects are so easily spotted. Mini-Games: There are 20 Mini-Games +7 in the CE Bonus Chapter. You can choose to play them in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode and you can choose which mode to have them start out in the Custom Setting (you can still switch between modes for each individual game) Below are a few of my personal favorites: 1-Arrange chess pieces so that they don't share the same horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lines. 2-Swap springs to adjust tensions so they are all equal. 3-Select the eye stone to reveal the arrow hints to connect stones. 4-Create a path to the castle by rotating sections. 5-Select arrows to guide the raven using the stop square to avoid hawks. 6-Create a path to the snowflake by connecting green dots & swapping regulators until the line is completely red. Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only) You're off to see the Wizard, actually, you're off to see your new goddaughter Alice the Best Female Chess player in the country...how exciting! ??? This is a boring chapter with more repetitive, cliche tasks spanning over 10 scene locations with 7 additional Mini-Games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes. You will use the Magic Wand 3 more times after finding wand charges and playing a mini-game. You will continue your search for the final 3 Morphing Artifacts, 3 Quilt Patches, and 9 Button Coin Zoom Zone Coins (of varying amounts) which allows you to purchase the final Pantry Items. Collector's Edition Extra's: (CE version only) 19 Wallpapers, 34 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 29 Movie Video Cutscenes, 40 Achievements, 18 Replayable Mini-Games, 18 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Morphing Crystal Birds,15 Backpack Items, a gazillion Missing Notes, 70 Zoom-Zone Coins, 15 Garden Decorations (purchase with coins) 4 Main Chapters, +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide. FAIRY GODMOTHER STORIES SERIES LIST Title***Collector's Edition Release Date***Average Rating 1-Cinderella (November 21-2019) 4.1 2-Dark Deal (July 23-2020) 3.3 3-Little Red Riding Hood (October 1-2020) n/a by: Domini Games
