Fairy Godmother Stories: Little Red Riding Hood Collector's Edition is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Who are you making these for? Look, it is dumb to make the player collect shiny sparkly things to charge the godmother wand, then give immediate swirly purple power to the one who steals it. It is dumb that the player goes uninvited into three separate houses(though there is a "detective" on the scene), only to use a fork to pull out nails, torch (with many parts) for cobwebs, and a corkscrew to open a drawer (all mine open even without the pull, thanks). These are silly, even if you never encountered them in at least a few hundred other games. It's more demeaning than childish. Look, Big Fish, I am tired of being "gamed" down to. This is a clone of previous mediocre (at best) games, not awful, just childishly simple, straight forward, no brain power needed. I like to play the occasional easy going ones, just don't want a dumb one, its irritating. There is no game to this game, if you know what I mean. I find myself replaying older, better games, hoping for better times...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from HEY THERE LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD EVERYONE KNOWS YOU'RE JUST MISUNDERSTOOD Completed Game approximately 5.5 hours (including completion of all mini-games & CE Bonus Chapter) 25 Main Game Scene Locations +10 Bonus Chapter Difficulty Range: Beginner-Intermediate What we have here is a Big Bad Wolf who's not really so big or bad and a Little Red Riding Hood who's not so little anymore and is definitely good at pulling the sheep's wool over everyone's eyes. Fairy Godmother goes on a wild Mother Goose chase and finds herself facing Gulliver-sized proportion problems...and yes, once again she loses her Magic Wand marbles! [turn page] ZZzzz, this is another long, drawn-out Domini fairytale that nearly put me back to sleep and made me wonder why I left my warm and cozy bed this morning? I was so excited for a new HOPA game (I was busy last week enjoying time with my granddaughter and newborn grandson :) that I kept on playing even though chapter after chapter I was faced with a pile of dirt to dig up, finding random treasures in a pile of ashes, multiple piles of dried leaves that could have easily been kicked aside yet I had to go overboard and find a giant leafblower (and all the attachments, etc.) and at one point, a ridiculous contraption that attached to a drill!! I lost count of how many cobwebs and spiderwebs I torched or dusted, the animals I fed or scared away, the locks I picked, the smoke I dispersed, the wheels, doorknobs, and handles I replaced or the 3 inches of ice I melted instantly. The screws were numerous but I'm here to tell you that Taleville couldn't possibly have a nail left intact anywhere, it's not humanly or inhumanly possible. I removed nails with anything and everything imaginable, hammers, bottle openers, forks of every shape and size, salad forks, dinner forks, dessert forks, breakfast forks, lunch forks, baby forks, blue forks, green forks, invisible forks, 2-pronged forks, 3-pronged forks, at one point I think I used a spork, I even used a hair come for Cinderella Sake! Gadgets/Helper: Naturally, Fairy Godmother has a Magic Wand which isn't very magical because it requires finding 3 magical charging chrystals to recharge it after a single-use. The magic wand is used 5 times in the Main Chapter and 3 additional times in the Bonus Chapter, accompanied by a puzzle or mini-game of course. (the mini-games vary each time) Collectibles & Morphing Objects (CE Version Only): There are 15 Morphing Artifacts and 15 Quilt Patches that are fabric swatches belonging to various characters in Tale World such as the Little Mermaid, Scarecrow, or Cinderella. There are 61 Zoom Zone Button Coins that can be used to purchase 15 Pantry Items which are fantasy-related items such as Unicorn horns. but they basically just sit on a pantry shelf and couldn't be more uninteresting. Domini never changes this scenario, they don't even change the number of collectible other than the value of the coins or the names of the collectibles... how thoughtful? There is an optional Collection Icon Tab that can be enabled or disabled in the settings menu as well. Hidden Object Scenes: There are 13 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter and an alternate Match 3 Game available, which btw, doesn't allow you to make consecutive matches quickly. (you have to wait for all tiles to stop falling before you can make the next match which makes the game seem sooo slooowww) There are a ton of simplistic Listed Item Finds and Keywords in Sentence Finds which were super easy and super boring. There were also Interactive Listed Item Finds, Replacing items into the Scene, Finding ? + ? + a Photographer, Finding Objects that don't belong in Portraits, Swatch Finds, Matching Card Finds, Combo Silhouetted Shape Finds, Placing 12 Beans in the correct pots according to the clues shown, all of which can be completed within seconds because the objects are so easily spotted. Mini-Games: There are 20 Mini-Games +7 in the CE Bonus Chapter. You can choose to play them in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode and you can choose which mode to have them start out in the Custom Setting (you can still switch between modes for each individual game) Below are a few of my personal favorites: 1-Arrange chess pieces so that they don't share the same horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lines. 2-Swap springs to adjust tensions so they are all equal. 3-Select the eye stone to reveal the arrow hints to connect stones. 4-Create a path to the castle by rotating sections. 5-Select arrows to guide the raven using the stop square to avoid hawks. 6-Create a path to the snowflake by connecting green dots & swapping regulators until the line is completely red. Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only) You're off to see the Wizard, actually, you're off to see your new goddaughter Alice the Best Female Chess player in the country...how exciting! ??? This is a boring chapter with more repetitive, cliche tasks spanning over 10 scene locations with 7 additional Mini-Games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes. You will use the Magic Wand 3 more times after finding wand charges and playing a mini-game. You will continue your search for the final 3 Morphing Artifacts, 3 Quilt Patches, and 9 Button Coin Zoom Zone Coins (of varying amounts) which allows you to purchase the final Pantry Items. Collector's Edition Extra's: (CE version only) 19 Wallpapers, 34 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 29 Movie Video Cutscenes, 40 Achievements, 18 Replayable Mini-Games, 18 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Morphing Crystal Birds,15 Backpack Items, a gazillion Missing Notes, 70 Zoom-Zone Coins, 15 Garden Decorations (purchase with coins) 4 Main Chapters, +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tasks for Tasks' sake This is another tedious game with a lot of going back and forth to complete 1/2 of a task that will give one of four items needed to open a door to get the clue that unlocks a purse to finally get the last part... You feel like you never DO anything. .Charging your wand with energy balls found in other peoples belongings that you had to work to get into made no sense. A mini game would have been a much better tool. The man who demands payment at the bridge looked so unlike a troll that I didn't make the connection until the end of the encounter. He just looked and sounded obnoxious. Maybe an aside to self "Oh dear a troll has already claimed the bridge" would help. To save on detail and artwork, the scenes are flat. The game is dark and hard to see. Spoiler hint: do not click on the pile of birdseed in the backyard. I thought it was cute when little birds lit to enjoy the feast. Until they chirped the same pattern over and over in every scene outdoors. If you like pointing and clicking for it's own sake this is your game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from On demo - Interesting story line Only to say not to use water sprayer on fearful you will traumatize them. Otherwise the story with three little pigs and the three brothers make me laugh so hard. This game looks like a nice one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nothing About This Makes Sense... Firstly, you have so much dark pink, blue and purple color saturating everything that it's insanely heavy. I don't know why they continue to do this, but even the Match-3 games are difficult to see because of the odd color placement.Domini needs to have a meeting on all this heavy, heavy color. Secondly, the items you obtain & try to get are ridiculous. You find a torn suitcase that a person could easily get their hands into, but the scene requires another "cut." There is a ton of glass pieces lying everywhere but no...You can't use any of those. You have to wait and get a knife from someplace else. THIS is the kind of silly thing I'm talking about. There are perfectly sensible items lying around, but you can't use them. Thirdly, you rescue someone from a large locked cage and after you do, he presents you with a hunk of cheese. I laughed out loud at the stupidity of that. Who carries around a piece of cheese? It almost seems like there's not much thought put into these games anymore. We as a customer, are not challenged at all. We see usable items in a scene, but can't use them. We have to go out of our way to win something else that will work, when there was something several scenes ago. Others have said similar things. You get a box of matches, yet when you use them once, they disappear. Then, when you need fire in another scene, you no longer have matches, which is silly. I wish game makers would work harder to realize we're quite capable of handing some challenge. Even extras like morphing obejects or collectables are lying right in front of you. Zero challenge involved. These games are for 8 year olds.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Simplistic Game, Glitch not too far in I have a high tolerance for simple as long as it moves along, but this one has a glitch which causes the game to crash. I do not recommend this one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I'm Only One Powerup Away From . . . . . Another Fairy Godmother Game has landed and this one reaches new heights of silly. If it were aimed at children, that might be acceptable. Unfortunately it is aimed at adults. It also reaches new lows in humor. Again children, maybe. Adults, not so much. Red Riding Hood is reported kidnapped by her own godmother and our Fairy Godmother is called in to find her. During her investigation, she bribes a troll, meets the Woodsman, and discovers the three pigs have had some trouble with the Big Bad Wolf. Eventually the entire premise dies a not so amusing death by the Devs' own hands. Good stuff: There are the usual game elements, some done competently. There is CE bling. There are lots of dark scenes and a magic wand to help you along. All you need to do to use the wand is to find three power ups and complete a puzzle to get whatever magic action you need from the wand - that is after you find the three shields hidden around Red's house that open its box the first time. Bad stuff: So much of the game is badly conceived that I was wondering if it could be a colossal joke on all of us. And then we reach the end of the Demo. **SPOILER ALERT** Red takes our wand and uses it on us - except the Devs ignored their own script - she doesn't have any power yet as we discharged the last scrap on the Big Bad Wolf! So Bottom Line: An inadequate story is sabotaged by its creators who were in a great hurry to get it to market and ignored their own premise, while using fairy tale fragments to try to cover their mistakes and lack of finesse. Please try the Demo. Just do it. At least that way you'll have some warning of what you are getting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My 6 year old Grandson wouldn't find this challanging Why were her badges for unlocking her wand case at riding hoods house, why were her boosts for her wand at hoods house, morphing objects like bright colored folded towels sitting in the road are not even a challenge, at one point your supposed to collect powdered sugar so when you find a small sack the dev”s added a label saying powdered sugar because you might be too dense to figure it out, mini game with big bad wolf was on easy mode, it showed his moves and left them showing so you could fight the attack, as in it didn’t show them for a short time, it left them there! That is not a mini game on easy, that is just so lame, then someone gets your wand right after you used it and has power in it to use against you, when the whole time you have used it, it has one use then needs recharged with annoying bright puff balls that you find in misc. places, along with the stuff we usually have to find to open drawers, doors, whatever, so along with the normal get this open by finding something in the right shape, you get to have a large sparkling puff ball light the middle of the screen, of which you need three each time to charge your wand, unless of course you are someone stealing the wand! I will not be buying this game; I finished the demo with 41 minutes remaining and I went to the restroom during that time. I am replaying my old games from 2016 and older so that I can at least be challenged and not be over whelmed with flashing colors instead of using my brain.
