Rated 5 out of 5 by from UTTERLY CHARMING Based on the demo. I'm an old Boomzap fan, and am finding this one to be intriguing. For a change, the searches have a purpose: where oh where are the Harcourt antiques? Besides the mystery storyline and the bright HOS's, the dialogs are surprisingly real in that they are written the way people actually talk and think and the characters are quite interesting. I love the unique items to find, definitely not the same old-same old. All in all, this Boomzap edition is utterly charming and I look forward to continuing to discover where the antiques have gotten off to and to uncovering why they've disappeared to begin with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't dismiss the storyline I don't know why there are bad reviews for this game. No, it's not terribly challenging as far as a HOP game goes... although some items are pretty hard to find, especially the "keys" to open areas so you can complete the HOPs. This game is all about the story. That's so rare! Yes, it's chatty. But think of it as reading a book that just happens to be a game. There are 5 different types of HOPS, which is nice. Each level has approximately 6 HOPs, plus two puzzles. The puzzles are very easy, but nicely done. The CE offers 5 extra levels at the end that continues the storyline. After all levels are completed, you have the option of playing all the HOPs over again. You can also choose what type of HOP you want to replay. Okay, so this one isn't going to win any prizes, but it's a nice relaxing game with an interesting storyline. Great for beginners and relaxing on a Sunday afternoon. Give it a try!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Likable hidden object game This is a traditional style hidden object game. I actually like it and find the bad reviews surprising. It has nice graphics with a pleasant winter setting (yes, some of out here like snow!) The sound is fine and music changes with some of the locations (like a Gregorian type chant when in the church). The puzzles are fun and I had no problems with clicking on things. Sometime the order in which you choose pairs makes a difference (ones on top first) or there is one fixed piece of statues so where you assemble each one makes a difference. All part of the puzzle. Objects are findable but sometimes in clever places which keeps it interesting. And if you replay a location you get a different list of objects so it stays interesting. Sometimes they add to the fun and give you clues to figure out rather then the name of the object. Or find 15 of the same thing (the last few are always tricky) All in all, its a game I like and plan to buy. I may wait for the regular version, although the CE has 5 extra chapters so might be worth it. Give it a try :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Retro Fun This is an easy, fun, relaxing game. Sometimes simple is what one is looking for -- an extreme challenge isn't always necessary to enjoy a game. I do hope that BF will continue this series and offer even more retro/old school HOGs. Perhaps those that are giving it such a low rating have missed the intended simplicity of the game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thoughts on this BRILLIANT Hidden Object Puzzle Game... I love this game. The puzzles are brilliant and so are the hidden object scenes in it. I have been waiting on a game like this. I hope more games like this one are going to be available on Big Fish Games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why the bad reviews???? I loved this game. It is so cute and fun. It is strictly a good old fashioned HO game and I find that so refreshing. I am tired of long drawn out stories with movie-like cut scenes and endless searching for shaped keys to unlock silly things. This has a fair amount of dialogue, but you can easily fast forward it along. There are quite a few really cute puzzles amongst the scenes and you can click on them from the map whenever you like during each chapter. I like getting to choose which site I will go to next and I also like the fact that they tell you how many objects you will need to find. The HOs are not all lists. Some give you clues to the object and some scenes have small hidden areas which you need to access by finding the trigger item. All in all, I found this to be a really nice simple game. I bought it right after finishing the demo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from old school game! I really love this game. It's old school and at my age it's refreshing to have this type of game offered. I really appreciate it. The graphics are very appealing; the objects are difficult to find; and the puzzles are simple but cute and different. It's very relaxing. yes, alot of talk but I just click continue. Thank you for this game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice relaxing game to pass the time with It's simple yes and possibly more suited to beginners although I am not a beginner and I really like it. Hidden objects are not real difficult to find with the exception maybe of one or two items being more well hidden. Puzzles are simple and fun and cute. I recommend you try this game even if you are not a beginner, because you may like it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little game. I started this game thinking it will be just another point and click fiasco but I was surprised. There is actually a storyline that is easy to follow and doesn't go off on a tangent and the characters are actually pleasant. Graphics are a little above average except for the characters and they are way above average and this is a nice colorful game. The only downfall, and why I didn't give 5 stars, is the dialog between each scene. I know it adds to the game but it's a little excessive. Will probably buy this once I build up some credits and I highly recommend this one despite the negative reviews.
