New Lands Collector's Edition is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fun I did not have any issues with the trial. I played full screen and did all the steps of the tutorial. One instruction was to find a hidden puzzle piece that was very well hidden. By level 3 I was replaying to get a perfect score. There was great variety and takes perfect strategy to get 3 stars. This is probably going to be a game I play without a timer first (which can be switched without needing to start the map over. Definitely NOT a mindless click game like most of these games have become.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No issues so far. I wanted to play the demo first to make sure that I did not have issues before I decide to purchase this game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from something a little different I almost didn't get this game but I am so glad I did. It is a little different then most time management games. Of course, I won't hardly play a game unless I can play it in the relaxed and this is no different. You still collect things to make things (per say) but still on a little different note. Myself I loved the game and seemed to get hooked and didn't want to stop playing once I got started. I am sure this is one of those games that I will be playing more then once. However, I am only on level 38 so tough to say how hard it will be become yet. There isn't much of a story line as you would think and I can't tell you about the sound, I never play with the sound on any game I play. This game may not be for everyone but I liked it myself and I am sure I will be playing it again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slow start that picks up as you go. GREAT GAME I thought it would be boring. WRONG... I LIKED IT. In this game, you have to COLLECT A LOT of resources and then SELL in order to advance in the game. It feels repetitive in the beginning. But as the games progress, you see why you have to start with building resources to make money to build more... You have to play the full hour before you judge this game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun but not CE worthy Another TM game that I played on relaxed mode and enjoyed it. Timed, I think would be frustrating as it does play a bit slow and getting extra workers would be more of a challenge than I want. The reason I say that it's not CE worthy is the only extras are art & music. That's not worth my extra money, so I'll wait for the SE. With that said, there are 50 levels & 5 bonus levels for finding puzzle pieces that were easy for me to spot and it does let you know whether you've found them or not. The only issue that I had with it was when I let the warehouse get too full and everything froze until I hit Replay. I then was able to continue with the game. There are bonuses & upgrades that can be bought which will make the game easier I presume for those playing in Timed mode. This is based on the demo only. Play it for yourself to decide whether to buy or not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a little bit different time management No problems playing the first four levels. It seems just a little different from the usual time management. I bought it after the fourth level. My only difficulty is remembering to find the puzzle pieces

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Another TMG but boring Another time management game with different features. The music is somewhat corny but OK. The graphics are pleasing and well balance in a cartoon way. This game has translucent hidden puzzle pieces, which are not too hard to find except I couldn't find one on level 12. I searched and searched, clicked everywhere and no puzzle piece came up, I even reloaded the game, no luck. The puzzle pieces seem to be tied to the bonus games past level 50, they have no hidden pieces. I wasn't intrigued by the game and didn't go for the timed mode, other new TMG games popped up. The help guide is very basic, you have a tutorial at the start. Kids may like it but I found it kind of boring. I could not condemn nor recommend the game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Why collect puzzle pieces? Overall, I liked this game. A little different, and you have to think a bit. I always play relaxed - not interested in beating times etc., and I enjoy looking for the puzzle pieces - but no jigsaw at the end? Why on earth collect them? Just for a few "extra levels"? Then make the collectables some other shape, making them like jigsaw pieces seems to me to promise a nice big jigsaw at the end. Oh well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's different , and here comes the but Nice to be back reviewing after a "vacation" of 3 weeks. This is a difficult one, part of me likes this game , part of me hates it. I like something that is different but first off I hated that when you clicked on something, you then had to assign a worker to do the task. Note to developers, this takes up valuable time and makes it extremely difficult to achieve 3 stars on timed or even 2 stars.. You are basically clicking twice to get anything done. I like that this is not your normal tm and found it interesting to have to change crops in the same field and upgrade store rooms etc in order to get your goal. The makings are there for this to be a very good game . And now we come on to is this CE worthy? No way. Strategy guide was pointless, the idea of a strategy guide is to help if you get stuck , this just sticks you even more, no help what so ever. The jigsaw pieces are so hard to see even with a magnifying glass which I use at times but you can at least replay the level to just search for the piece. On relaxed I found this doable but on timed so stressing. I like that they have tried to do something different but it is just way too hard, not worth a CE price at all. You need to tone it down a bit guys, make it more playable and you could be on to a winner. Some games start way too easy but this one starts way too hard. If you like something different then when the SE comes out this could be worth a go.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This is a great game, but I wish they didn't make it so hard! I think this would have been a game I would have bought and enjoyed because it was a little different and fun. The only problem is that it's so hard! Come on, when you can only get one star on the third level, isn't that a little ridiculous? I played the level two or three times to get that. Who in the world are you having to beta test these? Freaks of nature? That's really a shame, but there it is. Sorry!
