Chimeras: Inhuman Nature Collector's Edition is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Creepy I really enjoyed this one! A very engaging story with great quality visuals. A very creepy atmosphere, especially toward the start.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have been waiting for a game that keeps my attention like this one Not sure why the first reviews do not have a better rating. I found this game extremely well-executed, and the story was better than expected. I love the puzzles and the cleverly hidden-object puzzles. I hope people will try this game, I really enjoyed it, and I am a bit fussy when it comes to game content and quality. Have fun!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from At last. Best game in months I'm glad a game has come out I actually want to buy. I beta tested this and remembered thinking highly of it and it holds up. It's a darker theme at holiday season. I hope it doesn't do poorly because of that. But for me, being really tired of cheesy, childish, overbright and overwrought games? This is a relief. It's not the most challenging of game play, no. But at least everything doesn't jump off the screen at you like a hyperactive child screaming "click on me!!!" You get to ferret around yourself a bit to find stuff. Ahhhhh. Brain happy. Check out Brian's fingernails. How'd you miss that, you silly cow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Get your monster on I liked this game a lot. Neat plot, good characters, but wow, way too short for a Collector's Edition. Some of the mini games more challenging than others but you always have the option to skip. Not too much back and forth - if you follow the clues, you can get through each scene without too much trouble. As said, other than it being quite short for the CE price, I enjoyed the game and would recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprise game! Really interesting game. Maybe released at an unfortunate time because of the holidays. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed playing all of it including the extra chapter. Yes, it is a little on the easy side and I thought is was a little short. But given the alternative of struggling through an interminable never ending tome I have no complaint. Some of the acting was a little wooden at times. I recommend giving it a try and use the more difficult settings if you are bothered.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Story With Easy Play As has been noted the storyline and graphics are excellent but the game play doesn't quite keep up with either, and that's too bad because this is an excellent story with strong plot twists and superb scenery. Not all the tasks are the usual tropes (same for HOS) and some of the mini games are unique. So for me, it's a strong 4 star game. It's possible I have missed something in the main game and bonus chapter game play so I may play again because the story is that good. And alone, the graphics are fun to look at.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This could have been a great game, but... I really like this series, however, the developers need to spiff it up a bit. Elephant is making their games so short, I feel like I'm just enjoying the game and ... poof... it ends. Thus the 3 stars. I loved the story line and it could have been developed so much further. Good mix of HOS and puzzles. Interesting game play. Way too short. Bonus chapter was super short. I'd recommend the SE and save your money. I will recommend this game, but keep in mind that it's short and doesn't really get into the story before it ends.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This series is failing fast. I have really enjoyed this series in the past but this one fell short. It was not long enough the be a CE and just really repetitive. Tired of looking forward to games only to be left feeling short.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 5-STAR STORY*5-STAR GRAPHICS*JUST NOT VERY CHALLENGING GAMEPLAY Completed Game approximately 4 hours (including completion of all mini-games & CE Bonus Chapter) 25 Main Game Scene Locations +8 Bonus Chapter Difficulty Range: Beginner Someone is conducting scientific gene-mutations on abducted victims. How do you know this? Because you've just woke up inside a sleezy, makeshift hospital, shackled to the bed and warned not to escape! The only thing you can recall is your name and the fact that that they erased all memory of prior events. Every turn you make seems to reveal even more corruption and you begin to realize you can't trust anyone, maybe not even yourself! Helper/Gadget: There are no Helpers or Gadgets Morphing Objects/Collectibles: (CE version only) I think this is the first Elephant Game that hasn't offered a Morphing Object! Their CE bling and content has been dwindling over the past year and this is a bad sign as far as I'm concerned. There are 12 Chimeras Cards and 48 Huge Puzzle Pieces located within Zoom Zones as well as a few withing the scenes themselves. Hidden Object Scenes: There are only 14 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter. What I am noticing from this developer in the last few games is a marked improvement in the Hidden Object Scenes! The objects are smaller, they are clearly making an attempt to blend the objects into the scenery and choosing objects that will blend into the scene rather than stick out like a sore thumb...when developers try to improve...I always notice! This is a HO-heavy game, and the HO scenes are vary nicely varied There are Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Matching Pairs, Matching Related Objects, Keywords in Sentence Finds, scenes where you have to move things out of the way to find objects, and all of the scenes have several interactions. There are no alternate games available. Mini-Games: There are 11 Mini-Games +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter. I usually like Elephant Games because most of them are mechanical type puzzles where you tinker with fuses, electrical panels, or gauges and they always seem doable and never frustrating, but they didn't seem to have a lot of mechanical type puzzles this go-round, and they are opting to replace them with the easier, simplistic puzzle type games that really don't require much thought process such as dragging jigsaw puzzle pieces into the correct spaces. Because of this scenario, the games weren't much fun and were more like a chore rather than something to look forward to, I really just wanted to skip them which is something I've NEVER wanted to do in a HOPA game...it's usually my favorite part! Bonus Chapter (Collector's Edition version only) Adalina has a Major Mutant-Chimera infestation and seeks the help of Doc Brian in this average-length Bonus Chapter spanning over 7 Scene Locations with a mere 5 Mini-Games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes. You will search for the remaining 12 Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces to complete the final Jigsaw Puzzle and the last 2 Chimera Cards as well. Collector's Edition Extra's 5 Wallpapers, 5 Music Soundtracks, 22 Achievements, 12 Replayable Mini-Games, 14 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 12 Chimera Cards with descriptions, 48 Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces to complete 4 Jigsaws, a Secret Room to locate Hidden Objects (timed), 3 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.
