Rated 5 out of 5 by from Variety There were many different types of pictures to chose. They were all colorful. Nothing muddy or ill defined in the whole lot. Variety is the spice!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVE THE COLORS & THE BACKGROUNDS! Someone's listening because the new vivid color options are way better! I've also noticed that some of the images allow you to paint the background as well which makes the completed picture more interesting. There are still some really boring images and none of the images shown in the BF synopsis are available in the demo with the exception of the first house image. I really wish they would allow you to choose any of the pictures to color in any order, but at least there is an option to change the background colors. There are 64 images available but you are forced to finish the first level before moving on to the next. Why do I have to finish one level before proceeding? If you won't let the player see what's in store for them they may not purchase the game based upon the images presented in the demo, you should at least place some interesting pictures on the first level! They also made the cursor tip slightly smaller and less bulky and you can now drag the cursor to fill in the colors on the entire board as long as you don't let go of the mouse button. In other words, as long as you left-click & hold before dragging a color, only the current number will be filled in, all other numbers will be ignored until you release the mouse button. This is a painting game...so it would be nice to have some actual paintbrush tip options (options is the keyword here as in more than one) There is also a Hint button that will point to any missed areas of the current color, without penalty if you don't feel like swiping over the whole board to catch missed areas. There's not a whole lot to have to figure out, it's about as uncomplicated and basic as it gets. Paint By Numbers is a computer version of Oil or Colored Pencil Paint by Numbers, and actually closer to the real thing than the Pixel Art versions. Each area has a number and you simply chose the corresponding color bubble from the palette (also numbered) on the right side, left-click to fill in all the numbers with the correct color. There is a Slider Bar that allows you to zoom in & out as well as a "fit" tab. You can also move the entire page around by right-clicking and dragging. There is a slider bar that allows you to change the color of the background, which now includes a full-color scale. I'm finally seeing a little bit of progress, and I'm finally able to play these games in the full-screen mode now that they have added my resolution, so Paint by Numbers is finally looking promising! Rated 3 out of 5 by from DID THE STUDIO SUBMIT THE WRONG GAME? I am a total T1 Games fanatic. But I have no clue what's going on with the Paint by Numbers games, which started out being great, beautiful, and captivating. While Art by Numbers and Modern Art are becoming 5 star games, Paint by Numbers is devolving at a maddening rate. Number 8 flooded us with orange. Every single painting contained orange and brown. In Number 9, except for maybe one or two, the paintings can be completed in less than a minute, and for some, that's without dragging colors. Hardly any detail at all, nothing truly complex or interesting. The drawings of people are terrible, plus the skin tone applied is desanguinated white. Toilet paper has more color. One painting of a young boy is downright creepy. Come on guys, we know the level of quality you're capable of, so please don't throw Paint by Numbers at us like throwing a dog a boiled, pre-gnawed bone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Kick Back And Enjoy Number 9 I sped like crazy through that very annoying first level, so I could see what is on "the other side". Hooray! I made it! However, it wasn't worth the fuss to get there. For me it was just more uninteresting images with too many more suited for children. The more elaborate images were not appealing to me and the colors didn't seem to put enough life into them. I was uptight during the demo because of the excessive clicking necessary to access the colors in the palette. I kid you not - I clicked on some numbers at least 20 times before I was able to use them. Sometimes it took only 3 to 8 clicks. I should have just stopped and uninstalled, but I was determined to finish the first level. The click problem was also present in the images. Plus some of the segments were so miniscule that zooming was of no use and that forced me to use the Hint feature. I didn't like that at all. Also, there is no way of telling how many teeny segments are still to be found, so relying on the hints becomes the norm. The background colors are nice but more variation between the background and the shaded areas within the image would be better. As it is now, the colors being worked on are hard to detect if next to the background, But that really doesn't bother me. I just go around the edges first and color in the border with the help of the numbers magnified next to the cursor. The color bar for the background also adjusts the color of the highlighted areas, sometimes lightening an area helps me find a last little segment. Paint By Numbers 9 is a basic paint game with minimal features/options. The images have no extended background so they are quick to complete(if you don't have to click on your chosen color forever). The palette has a huge array of colors but I didn't think they add that extra punch that puts more interest and beauty into a picture. The small cursor can be moved over the entire image to fill in the highlighted numbers if you click and hold the left mouse button during the process. An easy time saver if lots of same-color segments to fill in. I'm pretty spoiled by Art By Numbers, Modern Art and Pixel Art. They each have wonderful artwork, a growing variety of subject matter, gorgeous colors, and features that enhance the fun and beauty. Paint By Numbers 9 could use some changes to bump up the fun and beauty of their games to get out of their rut. Step out of the box. I'd love to see this genre grow with developers who really put their creative abilities to work on designing fantastic images, creating out of the ordinary colors, using a wider range of subject matter (not kid stuff) and giving us fun features and options. These games are so wonderful for diluting stress. Any age can enjoy. No special skills required. I'm not purchasing this one as I'm waiting for one of my favorites to come along. This art game is sure to brighten up someone's day with its 64 images waiting to be donned in beautiful colors. And no clean-up involved. I love computerized paint games and jigsaws. Many hours of enjoyment.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from THE SAME GAME AS OTHER PAINT-BY-NUMBER GAMES 1-8. THE ONLY DIFFERENCES IS THE NUMBER ADDED Here is my review after only playing 20 mins of the demo: PROS: a different variety of pictures An easy game for beginners CONS: The exact same game as PAINT-BY-NUMBERS 1-8, only with different pictures If you are the type of player who saves every addition to an already purchased collection, then this will be added to your library. However, if you are the type of player who is looking for an addition to your collection, but with some differences, then this game is not for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too easy For the ninth set of puzzles, it has some pictures that are way too easy. It will have a harder picture then the next picture will be too easy

Rated 2 out of 5 by from thick lines and unattractive pictures The lines are thick and messy. Many of the pictures have these random rainbow circle frames that do nothing but take up space to make a tiny pictures bigger, but adds nothing to the composition. Disappointing.
