The Adventures of Wolf and Hood: A Jigsaw Tale is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun Jigsaw Game The best layout for me since Jigsaw 365. I had to play with normal cursor. Unfortunately it still seemed to feel heavy when moving the pieces so that makes it a no buy for me. Gutted though because everything looks great and i love the layout when playing the game. I'm still going to give it 5 stars because my problem should not be reflected in the rating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delightful puzzle game Welcome to a puzzle game with beautiful, bright graphics and a good fairy-tale inspired storyline. No dark pictures or dark magic in the demo. This enjoyable delight has plenty of options, including number of pieces. I play on a laptop with a touch screen, and I have unfortunately not been able to figure out the zoom and pan features.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Is a well done, simple, basic Jigsaw This reminds me of the physical jigsaws that were available in my doctor's waiting room prior to Covid-19. They are basic, enjoyable jigsaw puzzles that are a pleasant distraction for a little while. There were no glitches and the play controls are easy to understand. I liked this game. It is a basic jigsaw past-time that is well executed. If you want more than that, look elsewhere, but I happen to like this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from After a while it grew on me I had to have a long think about this game. The problem was I was comparing it with the two previous games then suddenly thought, hey I must compare it with its own merits and not how it compares to others. This game did provide me with some of the attributes that I love like being able to sort out the edge pieces, As already said 20 puzzles is not enough. There is nothing flash about this game but it sets out to do what it promises and I particularly like the moving pieces. Hardened jigsaw fans will probably not be too happy with this but on it's own merits it is not bad and I think fills a niche that it is not too challenging . I do feel at the moment that we are getting too much of certain genres and more variety is needed. Try the demo and see what you think.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from An Adventure I Won't Be Taking This puzzle game has good and bad elements. Not a complete bust, because I think very young puzzlers will love it. The pictures are quite cartoonish, the puzzles are fairytale themed and the minimal story is captioned beneath each completed image. The graphics are clear and the colors are those typically found in storybook pictures. I can see parents and children enjoying this game together. It is a turn-off right away for me because there are only 20 puzzles and each is locked until the one you are working on is finished. The perfect fun-killer! There are six sizes, 24 to 294 pieces. I completed 12 of the smallest and 1 with 150 pieces in the demo, so they were pretty easy and enabled me to see as much as possible in the trial time. The pictures were sweet and the artwork was basic. I did check out the other sizes, thanks to restart, finding them do-able without strain except for the 294 pieces which were quite small and hard on the eyes, and didn't stand out well on the grey background. The pieces click into place very nicely and lock firmly with an assuring sound. Adjoined pieces can be moved around the board. The border pieces can be separated from the others and worked first, making the beginning a little quicker. Loose pieces can be pulled closer to the puzzle border, but I didn't find that it was especially helpful. If you choose the ghost image to help with assembly, it can be made lighter or brighter with a slider bar. You can restart the puzzles, choosing a different size each time. Use the mouse to zoom in/out after the puzzle is completed. One puzzle I worked had a slightly animated rooster in it, hopefully this fun feature is seen frequently. Options include mouse zoom sensitivity, custom cursor, left or right mouse button for pan mode, resolution choices, volume control for music and sound f/x, save progress. The music was pleasant, not too whimsical considering that this is a fairytale themed game. The only challenge I found was due to the small-sized 294 pieces on a dark background. I encountered no tech issues. This game is quite suitable for young puzzle enthusiasts or someone who just wants very easy, no-thought puzzles as a relaxing time filler. Even though it didn't fill my needs for puzzle entertainment, I do recommend it for those looking for simple jigsaw fun.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from YOU CAN LEAD A WOLF TO ADVENTURE BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE HIM ENJOY IT Everyone knows that I am a jigsaw puzzle geek, so I was super happy that Big Fish offered The Adventures of Wolf and Hood: A Jigsaw Puzzle Tale, or is it Tail? I wanted this to be an amazing game with a cute Fairy Tail Tale like the synopsis was leading me to believe...it could have been, but it wasn't :( The Wolf must have been chewing on some cords because my cursor was flying all over the place and the puzzle image kept resizing itself as if it were possessed. I somehow managed to unclick the custom cursor option to regain control as the wolf's pack leader but this isn't a HOPA game so there was no duct tape to be found anywhere in the hood to fix those chewed wires that were causing the puzzle image to appear as if it were trying to cough up a hairball. The puzzle pieces seemed a bit lazy and slow to respond, or perhaps they just haven't realized that my system cursor was now the Alpha? It's quite possible that the cursor and the puzzle pieces were playing a different tail-tale, the Tortise, and the Hare? Hopefully, the developers will go "pack" to the drawing board to make some bonefide adjustments, I'd hate to see them throw in the wet towel because I do see pawtential in this Adventure Tail. With a few minor adjustments, this Adventure could pawsibly turn into a howler of a Jigsaw Puzzle series. It's times like this when I wish the BF forums were still around so we'd be able to "speak" with the developers to offer our suggestions, or "shake" their hand to say thanks, tee-hee-hee. Join me at thewoodsforum.boards.net, sit, or "stay" a while :)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from way to many bugs The main thing I didn't enjoy about this game is the jerky mouse makes it hard to pick up pieces & move them around. The other thing is that the image it puts up hides part of the puzzle board no matter how you where it. Have to move the image a lot to be able to work it. I tried to make it smaller to no avail. It needs a lot of work to make it enjoyable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I really wanted to like, no, love this game as jigsaws are a fav of mine & we don't get that many here-However, first time playing demo, I lasted 9 minutes & quit-Tried again the next day, but just couldn't get past the cursor flying all over the screen, having to grab a piece 2 or 3 times to get it to move, image zooming by itself, etc-Perhaps if these faults were resolved, this would be an enjoyable game, but there are too many issues-Sorry, can't recommend

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So Very Disappointed ... I really wanted to buy this game but the Cursor is really hard to control and it does not pick up the pieces properly. Everything is time lagged (puzzle pieces are always dragging way behind the mouse) and it all goes in slow disjointed motion. If they fix this problem I would definitely consider purchasing it. Otherwise it is very cute. What a pity!
