Customer Reviews
Cheshire's Wonderland: Dire Adventure is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Plenty of challenge in this I always like to try the demo of the SE even if I own the CE as I like to compare the differences as some SE games are not much difference wheras others are. What a disappointment here. If you own the CE the game gives you your completed demo. You can set up another profile and play the demo again but I wanted to see the differences and as the demo for the CE was the demo for the SE as stated in my previous review I had no idea. For this reason I deducted a star. Yes this game has a lot of the same as the previous Alice games but I felt it had enough differences to keep me happy. Even on the relaxed mode you often have to restart the level as you have gone down the wrong route which can become infuriating if you get near the end of the level and have to restart as you have no resources. This is why I prefer the CE as I needed the guide on many occasions . Regarding the review that said that the guide does not show the hidden objects (Pocket watch) it does you just need to click on the arrow when in the guide until you get to the last section where the position of the watch is circled. In future games they need to rethink the demos as we want to know what is on offer in both CE and SE.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interesting but with issues This is game that is better played in relaxed mode, as you can get a lot of delays (that spider....) and it needs a lot of planning even there. But I wonder if there are some glitches. In too many levels the characters moved sloooowly. They did not run. And then what about the levels 41-50? Are they supposed to be only in the collectors edition? If so, why display them? And if it not, why does the screen freeze when you try to load them? The story is fun and whimsical, and as I said the game involves a lot of strategy planning, so it is fun enough

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Frustrating I play Time Management games a lot and have never seen the point of playing in untimed mode. This game however was ridiculously hard to get three stars after 20 levels or so. There just weren't enough resources available in the short time allowed. Each level seemed to be designed to have a serious shortage or need a large quantity of one resource. You could also get stuck if you didn't go the correct path and this often caused me to have to start over. A few of the levels were really easy, but most were too difficult to enjoy. I have played several TM games where one needed to play the levels a couple times, but this was beyond short on time for me to get three stars. In order to complete the puzzle I ended up turning off timed mode so the aggravation of not being able to achieve 3 stars would end.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Déjà vu Cheshire's Wonderland is a whimsical Time Management game with bright colors, fun characters, and decent features. I was totally expecting this new series to have different features than Alice's Wonderland, but it was hard to tell them apart at times! Tweedles is in both games, and you still collect Candy & Bark. This time you play as the Cheshire Cat so the only thing missing from their other series is the Imagination feature required to help Alice. You still collect Morphing Art Palettes as you do in Alice's Wonderland. They can be really challenging to find due to the fact that they morph very slowly. The Art Palette's that you to "paint" 3 Concept Art pictures. Each scene also has Collectible Stopwatches versus the Teacups in Alice's Wonderland that allows you to assemble The Mad Hatter's Mad Tea Party Jigsaw. TIP: look for the Palette & the Stopwatch before clicking to start the game, you can click on both of them without starting the timer! You can also return to the levels to pick up the collectibles and then exit the level afterward, without disrupting the original score. The CE Strategy Guide also shows the location of the Stopwatches and Palettes. There are 40 Main Levels (+10 bonus levels in the Collector's Edition version) that can be played in a Relaxed, Normal, or Challenge difficulty mode, as well as Trophy Achievements to earn. The features are almost identical to Alice's Adventures, you will build Candy Factories for food supplies, repair cracks along the paths, removing stone and boulders, clear puddles, and gather renewable resources from various Altars. There are a lot of strategies involved and if you don't do things in the right order, you can and will get stuck and have no choice but to start over! The Bonuses are Magic Spells that last for about 20 seconds each, and each level usually has 3-4 different Spells that become available once you fill the Magic Flask (sound familiar?): ♠-Collect More Resources ♠-Speed Boost ♠-Bargain Trade (resources traded at a better rate of 3-4) ♠-Get Candy Pile (generated on altars) ♠-Get Gold Coins (generated on altars) ♠-Get Bark ♠-Fill All Altars ♠-Speed Production ♠-Freeze Time ♠-Speed Up Production Cheshire's Wonderland is a good time management game, but I was expecting this new series to be completely different. This game is exactly the same as Alice's Adventure in Wonderland without Alice, so for the lack of "Imagination", I was disappointed! Rated 2 out of 5 by from Is It Really Time Management? This game is literally just walking to an item, clicking to pick up, walking to another item, clicking to pick up. There's nothing going on. That's not really time management, it's just clicking. I don't know how TM games got to this point, but playing this was painful. There used to be strategy involved in this genre.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Challenging, but glitch won't load level 41 I like the game, very challenging, but I like that.. so I bought it right away after the trial expired. My issue is that the game won't load level 41. It just sticks in the loading process, even though the "goodie ring" still goes around, the load bar doesn't move past 1/2" or so. Don't like paying for partial games. >:(
