Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fatal Evidence: In A Lamb's Skin Collector's Edition I enjoy playing games through this developer and. I enjoy playing larger games because they have more detail than smaller games

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Going to be the Odd Person Out If I had paid attention to some of the reviews I would have missed an enjoyable game. The story was not complicated, a welcome change to the chaos society finds itself today. Kick back and enjoy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I must be playing a different game to everyone else!? Not sure what everyone else has been playing, but this game is great! I haven't had any glitches and I've just finished playing the one hour demo. Lovely graphics as always, fun gameplay, BUT I do agree that this new red cross when you make a mistake in HOGs isn't a welcome feature! Just unnecessary and a bit annoying. As for the non-sensical tasks, who cares!? Just play the game and do the tasks in the order they've been made. and frankly, the placing of the two red valves is not a non-sensical task! You're allowed to place them in the right place when you actually need to! i.e when you need water. Not before when you don't need water. That to me is not non-sensical. If you're a Domini fan, don't be put off by the bad reviews. I think players should just try for themselves and not be put off by others just because it didn't play well on their particular PC/laptop/etc, or because they think tasks are non-sensical. Everyone has their own opinion I guess.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from MURDER, MAYHEM AND EXCITEMENT AWAIT YOU IN PITTSBURGH REVIEW BASED UPON THE ENTIRE GAME 7 Chapters Plus a Bonus Chapter – Strategy Guide: 49 pages (My Time: 7 Hours) STORY: Detective! Travel to the exciting, crime infested city of Pittsburgh to investigate a copycat killer out for revenge. Two years prior, you apprehended a serial killer, Roderick Alcala, a twisted psychopathic who photographed his victims to capture their emotions before he killed them. Now a newbie detective, Darby, has contacted you for help. Recent killings resemble those of Alcala. Someone is out to exact revenge against those who they feel helped this killer escape the death sentence. Locate this avenger and discover an unlikely motive. To me, this is a long, decent game plagued with a few errors throughout. To me, this is not Domini’s best work; however, even Domini’s less-than-perfect fare is better than many developer’s best games. I love murder mysteries and whodunits and felt this was a good play. The stories behind both the main game and the bonus chapter are well-written. The game has a good pace throughout. The player will spend time saving one murder victim after another in this game. I feel the graphics are excellent in portraying a decaying urban sprawl. Domini always provides more game for the money and this one is no exception. There are the standard three (3) collectibles, morphing personal items, photographs, and tokens to purchase items for a boudoir. I personally love the sidebar which indicates if there is an inventory item within a scene. I found many of these difficult to locate. Some are well-hidden within the scenes. I had to check the strategy guide to locate some of them. TO ERROR IS HUMAN: This game was rushed into production. There are minor errors throughout this game. I have never seen this number of errors before from this developer. Nevertheless, they did not interfere with the enjoyment of this game – they are just oversights for the most part. First, there are sixty-one (61) tokens to collect not ninety-two (92). The beta had this number, and the sidebar still has that number listed. I found that I had sixteen (16) tokens remaining after I purchased everything for the boudoir. Perhaps that is not an error, but usually after everything is purchased, nothing remains. However, I was happy to discover that instead of only fifteen (15) puzzles to replay (as indicated in the extras section at the beginning of the game) there are twenty-five (25). While searching through the extras section of the game, I found myself locked in the collectibles room and pressing the “X” did not exit me from that scene. I exited the game and restarted it, but it still did not fix that problem. Although I am from Ohio and not really a University of Michigan fan, (boo!) I did get a chuckle in the bonus chapter that the pendants and signs on the buildings at “Michigan University” have the University of Massachusetts written on them instead! Well at least it is not Ohio State, nor did they have buckeyes on those trees in the pictures of the campus! But my “enquiring” mind would love to know why they changed it from one university to the other. MECHANICS: • Four (4) levels of play including a customized version. • achievements. • Collect 15 morphing personal items, and 15 photos. • Collect 62 (not 92) tokens to exchange for items to place in a boudoir. • 15 wallpapers along with concept art, music, and video sequences. • 29 cutscenes from the game • Replay 17 HOP scenes and 25 mini-games. BONUS CHAPTER: It is another game. You are off to Michigan University (who has a penchant for University of Massachusetts pendants), to investigate a series of murders at a college campus. There is a killer on the loose, one who is seeking revenge for the actions of the mayor of the town. This is another great story despite the developer not quite certain if he is in Massachusetts or in Michigan. There are ten (10) mini-games and five (5) HOP scenes. Continue to collect the collectibles. It is a long chapter and well-worth the price of a collector’s edition. HOP SCENES: There are seventeen (17) HOP scenes, all of which can be replayed at the end of the game. They vary in style and design. And although Domini is best-known for their puzzles, their HOP scenes are creatively designed. Included are the standard lists of items and silhouette. However, there are two of my favorites which are replacement scenes – searching for items and then using them within the scene to locate other items. There are also matching scenes, spot-the-difference scenes, and scenes with rebus clues. A thematic Match-3 game can be played instead of the scene. X DOES NOT MARK THE SPOT! Returning in an encore performance are those dreaded “X”’s which appear if you click on the wrong item in a scene. Accompanying each huge X, is a dreadful sound indicating YOU ARE WRONG! Please Domini, make this an option in the menu setting. I, for one, absolutely hate seeing those X’s and listening to the nerve-wrenching sound accompanying them. MINI-GAMES: There are thirty-one (31) mini-games, twenty-five (25) of which can be replayed at the end of the game. Most have the option to be played in an “easy” mode for a more casual experience, or in a “hard” mode providing more challenge for those who want it. The difficulty can be set in the menu at the beginning of the game; however, the difficulty can be changed while playing the game as well. There is also a Rube-Goldberg puzzle in the demo. SPOILERS: HERE ARE SOME OF THE NUMEROUS PUZZLES AFTER THE DEMO: (E = Easy; H = Hard) A. E/H. Sequence puzzle. Play melodies on a piano in the proper sequence as per a given guide. The easy version has 3 and the hard version has 5. B. E/H. Lock puzzle. Use lock picks to open a lock. Move the picks into the proper positions to release the tumblers. The easy version has 4 tumblers and the hard has 6 tumblers. C. E/H. Sliding tiles puzzle. Slide levers on a radio up-and-down, so each is positioned as per a given guide. In the hard version, moving one lever affects the others. D. E/H. Maze puzzle. In the dark, move through a maze finding parts of a ladder to create the ladder to escape. The harder version has more ladder pieces to locate. E. E/H. Sequence puzzle. Find the proper sequence to push pieces of an item into the center of the grid to restore it. The easy version has only 4 pieces while the hard version has 8. F. E/H. Rope puzzle. Untangle rays of light so none cross each other. Hard version has more lights and is a larger tangled string. BONUS CHAPTER: G. Maze puzzle: Go to the dining room in the college by selecting the correct paths to get there. H. E/H. Chess puzzle. Move a knight on a chess board to get a shield and a sword. As you move, enemies will try to defeat you. Maneuver the board so you do not get caught and be forced to restart. I. Sequence puzzle. Deactivate a bomb. Cut the wires in sequential order. In the hard version you are timed with only 30 seconds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun game but tech issues I'm enjoying this game. I usually buy/play almost all of Domini's games. I don't recall having tech issues with their games, but this one has them. Cannot purchase items with the tokens I earned...when I click on the token icon, I move into the "closet", but when I click to purchase an item, nothing happens. We pay more for CE games to get all these extra bonuses - They should all work!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Glitch! I was trapped in the level where the guy needs medical help. I needed the saw to add to the saw handle. I should have gotten it at another spot, but overlooked it. It will not let me go back and I am trapped, because I cannot saw through the window nor give him a bandage. Please fix the glitch

Rated 3 out of 5 by from WE ASKED FOR CHANGE 7 YOU GIVE US NON-SENSICAL TASKS & GIANT X'S? Completed Game approximately 6.0 Hours (including completion of all puzzles & CE Bonus Chapter) 25 Main Game Scene Locations +10 CE Bonus Chapter Difficulty Range: Beginner Roderick Alcala was finally captured and sentenced to prison for the murder of 18 individuals. His services are used to help capture a copycat killer due to his unique skills, This sounds like a great idea, let's take a serial killer to the scene of a murder after improperly handcuffing him in front of his body rather than behind his back. This is the same serial killer whose sanity has not yet been determined, so we're going to take him to a murder scene that has the same MO as he used and we don't even know if he's psychologically disturbed, the paperwork says "probably is"...Just to be on the safe side, let's take the newbie cop with us, it's okay, he's really meticulous about stamping paperwork so he'll totally have your back! Changes For The Better? Nope! We asked for changes and this developer decides to give us a giant X if you don't click on a Hidden Object dead center. To make matters worse, the giant red X is accompanied by an "oh, no you didn't" sound just to remind us that we were Dead Wrong. But wait, there's more! In an attempt to make things more difficult, they decided to throw in a bunch of non-logical tasks. On one scene, I clearly need to place the 2/2 valves that I had in my inventory (yes both) onto the stems, however, the valves would not be accepted until several scenes later after initiating a cut scene? Inventory Items that were clearly the logical choice, were not accepted for various tasks throughout the game, you had to find an odd item that made no sense? Glitches were numerous, in fact, I can't remember a game by this developer lately, that hasn't had glitches! The biggest glitch is that when you click on the Boudior Tab, you get locked inside forever with no way out other than to exit the entire game! Then there are the extra Tokens at the end of the game, did I miss a Boudior Item when I was locked in the dark? Gadgets/Helper: There are no Gadgets or Helpers unless you count Roderick and the newbie cop as helpers? Audio/Video Quality: Domini usually does well in this department, especially after ditching the over-abundance of Purple, and Green hues. However, the scenes themselves are uninteresting, exactly what kind of prison is Roderick being held in? You'll understand after playing! Collectibles & Morphing Objects (CE Version Only): The collectibles are always the same in Domini games, they just have different names! There are 15 Photos,15 Personal Items (who's personal items, mine? Roderick's? the newbie cop's personal items? Are they personal items that someone misplaced, if so didn't I just steal them? I thought I was a cop?) There are 92 or 62 Zoom Zone Tokens that are used to purchase 15 unappealing Boudior Items but don't forget your flashlight in case you get trapped. You can opt to show or hide the collectible's tab, which alerts you whenever there is a collectible in a scene. Hidden Object Scenes: There are 12 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter and an alternate Match 3 Game available, which btw, doesn't allow you to make consecutive matches quickly. (you have to wait for all tiles to stop falling before you can make the next match) They are mostly Interactive List Finds but there were other variations, such as Silhouetted Shapes,Spot the Difference, Progressive-Interactive Finds, Matching Item Finds, and Combo Finds (_+_=?) and Keywords in Sentence Finds. If only Domini would add a skip button feature to their boring HO scenes! Mini-Games: There are 21 Mini-Games +10 in the CE Bonus Chapter. You can choose to play them in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode and you can choose which mode to have them start out in the Custom Setting (you can still switch between modes for each individual game) I can honestly say that I didn't enjoy most of these puzzles that have been offered hundreds of times. How many times do we have to drag puzzle pieces into place just to log onto a computer? How many Mazes do I have to endure? How many times do I have to untangle a rope, repeat the melody sequence or pick a lock? Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only) There is a serial killer on the loose at the university! He/She is looking for revenge for actions taken...by the Mayor? This is an above-average-length chapter spanning over 10 scene locations! There are 10 additional Mini-Games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes, and you will continue your search for the final Photos, Personal Items, and Zoom Zone Tokens which allows you to purchase the final Boudior Decorations. Collector's Edition Extra's: (CE version only) 15 Wallpapers, 15 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 29 Movie Video Cutscenes, 40 Achievements (the same achievements offered in all of their games) 25 Replayable Mini-Games, 17 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Photos, 15 Personal Items, a gazillion Missing Notes, 92 (or 62) Tokens of varying amounts to purchase 15 Boudoir Items, a Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide. Rated 3 out of 5 by from I Liked The Storyline, But That's Where My Interest Stopped Can't put my finger on it, but something about this game was unappealing to me. We've had copycat-killer stories before, but does it mean a copycat game as well? Don't know, but not interested enough to go any further than the completed demo to satisfy my curiosity. I was impatient through the whole thing. I didn't care for the graphics, not quite sharp enough. However, the neon colors were almost non-existent this time which was a nice improvement. The scenes were kind of dark due to atmosphere of the theme, but color appropriate. Roderick's appearance contradicted how I thought he would look, considering his warped profile and his age. His prideful tone when speaking was appropriate to his personality. I liked Agent Darby's looks and his voice had a nice natural flow to it. A little too smooth, perhaps? I'm very suspicious of him. I was put off by the big red X in the HOPs once again. An irritating feature, made me want to skip them so I tried the Match 3 only to be disappointed with that, too. The boards seemed a mess due to the choice of tiles and the sound f/x were awful. The puzzles were okay, some can be played in easy or hard mode. Still, I skipped a couple because of tedium. There are lots of coins, notes and photos to collect and 15 morphs. Also included are 12 wardrobe items to find for the boudoir. I own a couple of Fatal Evidence games, don't recall them not being entertaining. But today's release had me on edge, not from anything other than impatience, wanting to finish the demo because I just didn't enjoy the game. I hate to leave a demo unfinished, unless due to tech flaws. I typically love murder mysteries, but just couldn't get into this one! I gave 3 stars since I liked the storyline and I do recommend it to others who may find this game very enjoyable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Revenge on Art Revenge in the purest form. Started out with a bang and the demo ended with me not sure if I will get this or not. The demo was short and made me wonder if it will be a long collector's game or a short one. Still in the end I will probably get this and hopefully become more enthralled. Please get rid of the red X and the slashing sound in HO part of the game.
