Customer Reviews
Sweet Treat Solitaire is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Persevere with this one! I always read the reviews before I download a new game, unless it is a new episode of one of my favourite series (eg Vacation adventures). Yes, this is a cartoonish game that looks as though it is meant for children, but it has some really good features (eg being able to change from the up or down mode to Match 2 or Add to 14) and it gets quite hard quickly. I am really enjoying it. Definitely try it out - I think some of the poor reviews were based on a very short trial.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of Goodies I've only played a couple of hands, but, so far, this is a great game. We have a choice of solitaire styles, and mini games, with a special tab for them, over and above the game. So far, I think this is a great game, has lots of levels along with a casual mode on up to harder. I'm very happy with what I'm seeing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet & Yummy This solitaire game is yummy to play. The candy cards you can buy in the shop with coins that you earn are great. they help you in some difficult areas to get the full amount of stars. There are delicious mini puzzles to do as well as you go through the levels. The challenge levels are confusing at first because the instructions are not very clear. But after a few you got it figured out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as childish as it first seemed When I first started this game I was a little put off because it was extremely easy and just seemed like a childs game but I own several of this developers games and knew that they were great so I persevered with this. This is designed for fun and yes it is a bit childish but it is good that a developer tries something different and we do not get the same old thing in every game that some developers do. This is a small independent developer whom are very keen on giving us what we want and will take notice of reviews. What I will say though is the demo really does not show the full potential of this game. I adjusted the battles so the jellies fight back and upped the challenge and it suddenly becomes a much more challenging game. This is a game to unwind a little and yes the music is annoying but you can turn that off and just have the sounds which I did. Play around with it and get it how you want it. I am now on level 50 and it is challenging in a fun way, only 150 more levels to go. What I will say to the developers is you need to make it a bit more challenging in the demo time as how it stands at the moment it just comes over as an extremely easy game. Just my opinion.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Same as Ember Knight solitaire in a different skin If you have any of The Revills other solitaire games, you'll find this one is very similar. They take the same game mechanics and change the 'skin'. Like Ember Knight solitaire and some others, this one has the duels (in this case, you throw cupcakes at jelly animals). All levels have various locks on the cards such as a milkshake, a cookie, a mess that has to be cleaned up. There's usually at least one 'steaming' card that has to be played twice. There's a lot of powerups to buy and at first you have to be choosy what you get to play smart but by around the 14th or 15th chunk of levels, I've usually managed to buy all of them that are helpful (there's 20 overall chunks of levels, w/ 10 layouts in each chunk). It's much easier to get 4 stars of all levels w/ all the powerups esp the ones that provide a wild card or facsimile. As another reviewer stated, it's impossible to make card chains (long drives) in this game because there's too many locks in every level. It gets tedious. There are a lot of card backs to choose from, and some special cursors that are cute. They offer about 4 sets of card fronts but they are lazy offers--i.e., one choice is sweet food items on white background, one choice is the same food items on a light blue background, one choice is the same food items on a light pink background (just lazy imo). I don't play w/ the music on. The sound effects are lame and again, lazy..always the same sound effect for just about everything. I've been playing in the up/down (golf solitaire) mode in casual. This does offer other modes like regular and hard, as well as a match 2 and addup to 14 (or something like that) mode. I played the match 2 mode in Ember Knight solitaire. As mentioned, this game is pretty much an exact replica of that one w/ a different theme. This developer has gotten lazy, churning out solitaire games w/out much thought to adding anything new. I loved Home Run Solitaire which was one of their first ones I bought, and although I do still buy some of their games, they really do not measure up to some of the much better solitare games I have. I recommend this game if you love Ember Knight solitaire, etc and want another one pretty much just like it, but otherwise I don't recommend it as you can't make long drives which is always fun. There are much better solitaire games out there. This one is just ok IMO.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If You Have A Sweet Tooth, Jump Right In For me this game is just a great big no, on every point. Why so many games on BFG more suited for children? Adults spend the money here, not the kids! So why don't we get games that appeal to adults, that we can wrap our minds around, instead of all the riff-raff? The game is dripping with sugary images, the music is annoying and the mini-games are crazy-easy, Really, Big Fish? Can't you reach for the stars instead of into the bottom of the barrel? The graphics are bright and sharp, filled with lots of pastel colors typical of the sugarland theme. The solitaire and mini-games are perfect for young beginners, there are 200 levels that will likely fly by due to the little to no challenge, and little jelly animals that add yet another blip of color to the game. There is a 4-star goal with pop-up words of praise as you successfully move along and a summary of your achievements after each level. You may find this to be a sweet addition to your solitaire collection. I failed to find any entertainment value. Maybe you'll be less critical and have better luck than me. I just don't understand how this game gets the BFG stamp of approval. Surely they don't think that the superior Jewel Match Solitaire will appease our appetites forever?! More than "once in a blue moon" quality solitaire games would be greatly appreciated. Try the demo and you might have great fun with today's new high/low release. It's a great one for super easy card play, bubbly music and quick little games for a break from the solitaire.
