Customer Reviews
The Myth Seekers 2: The Sunken City Collector's Edition is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from I liked it - better than the first! An excellent long game. It was challenging without being too much. It took me a long time to play, although the bonus game was much shorter, it was interesting - I kind of think it was a cross between a prequel and an up coming story line. I agree with another reviewer; this is almost a "bling-less CE" in that the only collectibles were 4 or so different sets of masks, which I found odd and they never showed what the connection between the ancient city and the masks was. Anyway these collectible were not worth anything and they don't allow you to go back and find them anyway, so Pffft! I gave this 3 stars because of the fun time I had playing the main game, but took 2 stars off for posing as a CE;but really, I would give it 5 stars as an SE They did add a cute animal to the bonus chapter. I'm a fan of animals and don't think they take away from my ability to play a game well. So I liked that, and it made paying for a CE less painful;) Bottom line: if you are a completest and want the CE go for it, but in actuality the SE will give you more bang for your buck.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Certainly not a Collector's Edition with that puny extra gameplay. Was a pretty good game until the final 'extra' chapter. Spent 15 minutes to complete it. Worst CE I've ever played. Wait for the standard edition cause it isn't worth the full price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from zzzzz... Hello Friends! As usual, I review mostly on the game play and not so much on the story line. Again, this review is going to be short. There was a lot of blurring when going in and out of close ups, but otherwise, the graphics were fairly nice. Voices weren't bad, but the women were a bit too high pitched. Animation was not too bad. Some body movements were a bit stiff. The one thing I found off putting was character's tongue moving when they spoke. It was so weird, it just drew your attention. Sound FX were few and far between. HOPs were the same old interactive lists. There was nothing extra to switch to when you got bored. The scenes were fairly clear and items were not difficult to find. Puzzles were extremely simple and took no time at all to complete. The hint system was helpful, but there was no transport feature and you did a lot of back tracking to 3 rooms during the time I played. Collectibles were awful. We had to find extremely large masks. That's it, nothing else. This game just seemed like something that was dug out of a dusty basement. The story was slow and boring. To be honest, I couldn't even finish the demo. Absolutely no challenge. I rarely cannot find something good to say about a game, in order to recommend it to someone. However, I'm at a loss for this one. I'm not even sure a beginner would find this one fun. Too bad, it could have been a nice game. Gave this one a 2.0. No recommendation, no buy. As always, try it for your self and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may find that this is exactly what you are looking for. Thanks for the review. Play on!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Old and Outdated This game was super disappointing. It's the second one recently to seem very old, as if it was about 10 years old. Games nowadays have MUCH better graphics, better faces, better mouth movements, better environments, more puzzles, more challenging puzzles, and very engaging Collector's Editions. This one is the opposite. The graphics are OLD, even the Strategy Guide has blurry images, and the characters are drawn in a very outdated way. The faces lack detail and aren't even well drawn. Games these days have characters with detail down to the lines on their faces. This has that mask-like, stock look of games of yore. The characters' mouths move, but they have a really strange tongue thing going on. So instead of bothering to make the mouths form the words properly, they threw in some weird flicking tongue thing behind the teeth. Just plain odd. The environment was not detailed, which again points to an old-style game. The puzzles are barely puzzles. They're soooo easy (easier than Dominion Games "Easy" choice puzzles), and some don't even qualify as puzzles. It takes far too long to get anywhere new in this game—a lot of going back and forth, back and forth...back and forth. I'm not one to pan storyline, but this one was like they just couldn't be bothered. This doesn't even qualify as a Collector's Edition to me. It has one collectible that is SUPER easy to find in each scene. That's it, nothing more. The only thing that earned this game two stars is that the HOPs aren't bad. Nothing special, but certainly not bad. They're the best thing about this game, but again, pretty lacking, unimaginative, and old. Overall, this game was dull. I was bored from the moment I started it, hoped it would surprise me, but got let down with every passing minute. I don't recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Maybe As a Free SE This is nowhere NEAR a 5-star game. The visuals are terrible, the games are completely lackluster and the story line is ridiculous. I have a couple of game coupons that need to be redeemed soon, but I'm not even sure I want this as a free SE game. There is no reason for me to go into details, as other reviewers have already done that, but I can't in good conscience rate this above a two. Sorry to be such a negative Nellie.
