Chimeras: Wailing Waters Collector's Edition is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not much of a game Nice graphics but puzzles that were too easy, and was not much. Looks like you tried to load it up with HOS instead of story line and challenges.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from For beginners... Hello friends! As usual, I mostly review on the game and not much on the story, as others do a much better job than I. I've lost count on this one, but we have a lot in this series. Graphics are well done, very clear and without blurring when moving in or out of cut scenes. Game play was very nice, with no problems during the demo. Colors are very bright, with a lot of brassy orange. Very hard on the eyes. Animation is well done, with smooth movements, even though the body sways in close ups. Voice overs are well done, and are age, character and setting appropriate. Music is monotonous. The SFX we have are well done and pretty much throughout every scene. HOGs are varied, with interactive lists, silhouettes and a story board. Didn't see something different to switch to if we don't care for the HOGs. They are fairly clear, and items are not difficult to find. Puzzles were nothing new, but some did have a little challenge to them. Hint system is quite helpful and it does transport to longer locations. There is almost constant back tracking in this addition, so the transport comes in quite handy. The map is very bland and boring, but it does jump you to locations, and it shows areas you may have missed a collectible. Collectibles weren't bad. We need to find 48 jigsaw pieces, which are fairly large, but quite difficult to find. They seem to be just an outline of a piece in the background. We use these to complete 4 jigsaw puzzles. I actually had to use the map to find a couple. Otherwise, I would have spent a lot of time looking for them. We also have 26 morphing figurines. These morph fairly quickly, but I found them much easier to spot. They are fairly large. We also have 12 photos to find. They are easy to overlook when you are looking for other things in a scene. I have all of these in this series, but I was disappointed in this story line. It is very slow moving. We have a fair amount of character interaction, a number of HOGs, a lot of back tracking and the only real challenge is finding the collectibles. I felt this one was geared more toward the beginner, or someone who just wants a no brainer kind of game. I have a number of those, but this one just didn't have anything that made me want to buy it. I will recommend it for beginners, but not for the seasoned gamer. No buy for me. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may find this one to be exactly what you are looking for. Thanks for the reviews. Play on!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Age Appropriate Wailing Waters is the 9th in the series. Previously there has been ample interest to stay involved and rescue the Heavenfall campers, therefore the world, from almost certain doom. This time the 90 minute intro is over too soon for the most practiced players. In this case, it's good for beginners.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Save your Money - Don't buy this game The pictures that are shown on the page advertising the game have little or nothing to do with the actual story. In my opinion, this game is extreme;y juvenile, simplistic and lacks a real plot or story line. The game play drags on and then suddenly, it is over ... There was just not satisfaction at completing the game nor in solving the puzzles - none of which were new or reaslly very interesting. I think that the developers are running our of ideas for this series and, if this is the case, let's just put it to bed instead of coming up with this kind of silly sequel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from IT DOESN'T GET MUCH CHEESIER THAN THIS...at least I hope not! Completed Game approximately 4 hours (including ALL mini-games & CE Bonus Chapter) Be careful what you wish for, you never know, urban legends might just be real legends. The boys from Heavenfall thought they were just having a little fun when they summoned the Forest Spirit of Black Lake just before Summer Camp, and they got exactly what they wished for! Thank goodness Greta called you because the campgrounds are swarming with monsters and everyone is in serious danger. Because that's what detectives do, right? There are 14 Hidden Object Scenes +6 in the CE Bonus Chapter. These were some of the most basic HOP's I've seen in a long time. Most of the scenes were Interactive List Finds but there were also Silhouetted Shape finds, Keywords and Pair Matching scenes as well. There are 16 Mini-Games +6 in the CE Bonus Chapter. I wasn't really impressed with any of them because they are repeats from past games and very simplistic, such as jigsaw puzzles, combining symbols to match the center symbol, a peg-jump variation, and the standard navigational puzzles. In the CE Bonus Chapter, you return to Black Lake to restore its magic when someone begins taking plants and animals that fueled the magic. There are 6 Mini-Games and 6 Hidden Object Scenes, and you will pick up the remaining 3 Collectible Character Photos, 8 Morphing Objects and 12 Zoom Zone Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces which completes the final Screensaver. This Collector's Edition version has 12 Wallpapers, 12 Concept Art Pictures, 4 Screensavers (Four 12-Piece Jigsaw Puzzles) 48 Zoom Zone Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces (4 Screensavers) 5 Music Soundtracks, 23 Achievements, a Secret Room with 13 Replayable Mini-Games, 12 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, & Secret Puzzle (locate Morphing Objects in each location) 12 Collectible Character Photos, 26 Scene Location Morphing Objects, 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-in Strategy Guide.
