Rated 5 out of 5 by from What goes around comes around I liked the hops. They were large and full of color and not washed out. Most puzzles weren't the one's I liked except in the bonus chapter. I Loved the boat maze, playing the piano and matching pairs. The boat maze took me a little while to see how they were doing it but I got it. You have to run over the thing that needs the item. You don't grab it. When your in the boat to just change to walking you just move there. I liked that the dummy insides were made of cloth and stuffed and I thought the Grouse is cool. Did you notice the clock in the old car? I picked the yellow dress. I love the visual but had problems with the sound of the voices. I turned down the music and other setting but turn the voice all the way up. I could barely here the voices in some places. You can't go back and get any collectible or morph. It has achievements. 4 chapters + bonus. Replays on 15 hops, 11 mini-games, 17 movies and 4 music. Has 9 wallpapers, 6 concept art and 5 screensavers. 26 morphing masks and 12 collectible poison and medications. The bonus chapter is a story by the male housekeeper in the main game. I liked it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this game I only played this game for a few minutes of the trial and knew I had to have it. It has not disappointed me. I am so glad AMAX understands that all players are not the same. I play in the casual mode (when possible), and this game has that. However, even casual games are sometimes hard to play and to understand. Yet, this one isn't like that. This one is a keeper. As a whole, these kinds of games aren't really fun, they are time killers. Still, I will try the new one that is out and decide if I want it, also. The other good thing I can say is that I appreciate the fact that AMAX stays on target in their games, instead of going in different directions that do not make any sense. Thank you AMAX

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Phoenix rises I have been a longtime player of this entire series, so when I saw that the sixteenth game was being released, I dropped two credits immediately to purchase it without the demo. Ligeia is a great addition to the series! The story is rich and engaging, and full of twists and turns. It's got all kinds of details that are just right for a Poe game - hidden crypts, angry ghosts, secret passages, and a murder most foul. The puzzles are challenging but not overly so; I managed the entire game without using the hint or skip buttons once. Without spoiling the reason for it, we actually get to play as Dupin for part of this game, which is a really great change of pace. The bonus chapter is also a nice piece of storytelling and an interesting addition to the events of the game. Dupin's final line made me laugh as he all but invokes Poe himself by name. All in all, a very fine installment!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but... I like the game so far but the storyline is simple without the wow effect. The voice volume is a little low even if you put it to the max; compared the music volume, there is a big difference. And the writtings, subtitles and the events in the game like the definition of the medecines, the collectibles, are too small and really hard to read. I just can't and won't. I have a fealing I am not the only one... In general the game is ok and easy to play. Good entertainment!
