Ghost Files: Memory of a Crime is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Down to Earth Detective Story I rarely review but I enjoyed this a great deal. Especially liked the straightforward storyline with its surprises, and the "dude-appeal." Puzzles were varied and fun, and it didn't feel cliche and "I've played this before" but original and intriguing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from STOP THE EXECUTIONER AT ALL COSTS REVIEW FROM COMPLETED GAME AND BONUS I loved this game and played it from beginning to end without stopping. This is what a true adventure is all about. You play a hardened private detective called Arthur Christie. There is: * Voiceovers (with dialogue) * Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom modes; * Interactive map; * Diary; * Find 16 caps,15 floppy discs and 31 pipes. The graphics are terrific - everywhere is well defined, has plenty of colour and items you need are easy to see. The music is orchestral and nice to listen to. Throughout the game you will need to find in each scene either a cap or a floppy disc. You will also need to find a smoking pipe which morphs. The caps/floppy discs are easy to spot, however the pipes are a bit more challenging. The hidden object games are highly interactive straightforward, silhouette and find 12 skulls, screws, money, etc. There are even morphing objects in them as well. These are fun to do and each one takes about 3-5 minutes. However, if you do get stuck finding that ever elusive item, then you can play Shuffle instead. There are a good variety of mini-games to play - ranging from easy to medium. I did them all without any problem or frustration. So, do you wan to get the CE or SE? In the CE the bonus is a preclude to how it all began, there are 8 replayable HOPs, 8 replayable mini-games and 24 Achievements. All up the game and bonus took me about 5 hours, so good value for money. I loved playing Arthur Christie - he's an honest and loyal bloke and definitely want to play him again in the future. Overall, a terrific who dunnit adventure. In all honesty, once I found out why the Executioner was killing off these people, I could understand why. Would I have done the same if I had been in that predicament? Maybe. You decide too. Definitely comes recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RACE AGAINST TIME TO STOP THE EXECUTIONER If you are looking for an action-packed great whodunit mystery game with no glaring red evil eyes, then this second game in the Ghost Files series is the one you don’t want to miss. From the very first scene this game takes off on a race to find a killer, dubbed the Executioner, before you (Arthur Christie) are arrested and convicted of crimes you didn’t commit. Memory of a Crime is a game that is sure to keep you involved and playing for hours. Although I didn’t care as much for the first Ghost Files game, this one seems much better. IMHO, the one downfall in the game (at least for me) is that some of the HOPS rely on barely identifiable silhouettes rather than providing a list or better depictions of the items to be found. Some of those scenes were difficult to complete since I couldn’t figure out what the silhouettes represented. That being said, the HOPS are absolutely genius and very creative. Thankfully, there is more of a balance between the puzzles and the HOPS. The puzzles are well-crafted and fit into the storyline without seeming to be inserted into the game as time fillers. Congratulations to Brave Giant for thinking outside the cookie-cutter box and bringing something interesting to the genre with this game. Help Private Detective Arthur Christie regain bits of his memory as he races to save his reputation and stop the real Executioner before it is too late. The game takes off quickly and keeps going and at times had me on the edge of my seat as I wanted Arthur to evade imminent danger and solve the crime. Memory of a crime is simply a game that you don’t want to miss. As always, please try the demo to see if this is a game that you will enjoy. Happy gaming!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Murder, Mystery, Mayhem, and Amnesia tied in an action packed bundle! Completed CE: A gripping story! Action packed! Marvelous voice acting and music score. Locked and loaded with a variety of puzzles. Lots of scenes to investigate to find clues and items to solve the case. Play Detective Arthur Christie is chasing down a killer known as the The Executioner. After waking in a basement Christie finds he has amnesia. As he struggles with to piece things together he reconnects with his ex-partner, Murphy. As the case unravels, Christie's memory slowly returns to unravel a marvelous whodunit. I recommend this game but to a mature audience of 16+ plus years of age because of content found in this game. (Yes, it contains violence that some may not be able to handle.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing whodunit! What a ride! This is a great story all together. Nice graphic and good music and audio choices. The hidden object scenes were extremely well crafted. Mini games were all right, a few were great but not all. In total, one of the best detective games!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game Playing this game was really fun and intense. Trying to find the killer and actually having assumptions about the killer was even better. Being a detective with a memory problem was challenging because I had to really think and figure things out. What I DIDN'T like was the puzzles. They were very challenging and I couldn't finish them, so I would skip them. The story line was excellent and stayed on point and visual effects were awesome (at least for me they were). This was overall a great game. Try it and if you like it buy it. You won't be sorry!!! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved This Game! I absolutely loved playing this game. Everything about it kept me busy and interested. The story made sense, the puzzles were fun and interesting, and the hidden object scenes weren't the same old style. I'm looking for more games from this developer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprisingly Good Game This is posted after playing the entire game. I have to say, I was really surprised how much I liked this game. I played the demo and really wasn't impressed, but after reading the reviews, I thought there has to be more to this game that I'm missing. There sure was! It turned out to be fun and addicting. I think the thing about this game that started me off on the wrong foot was the graphics. I wasn't impressed very much with the reality of the drawing, but after a while that took a backseat to the story and games within. The music was a tad bit boring, but the voice overs were very well done. Of course, the effects went along with the action in the scene. The challenge varied as did the types of games. Hidden objects ran the gambit from lists to silhouettes, to finding 12 keys (not my favorite) to morphing objects and everything in-between. I really liked the mini games for a change. I played most of them. So either my patience is growing with age (which I doubt) or they were rather on the easy side. I played in the custom mode so if I didn't like the game it was quickly skipped. I have one regret and that is I wish I had been able to play the game through in one sitting. I played for three days and each time I went back, I had to think what had happened, where I was, what I needed to do and that took away some of the fun. The story was a bit spotty at times, but I'll blame that on not playing the game all at one time. Others have explained the story so I'll not take time to do that here. Just let me say it had me pretty much from the beginning all the way through. Play the demo and see if this isn't a game you might like to add to your collection.
