Customer Reviews
Rainbow Pixel is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5-STARS AS PROMISED I've been quite outspoken about this developer's games and have refused to give them anything over a 1-Star rating for a long time now because they never added or changed features on any of their games. I've added comments that I'd give them 5-stars when and if they did add features we were all asking for, and my jaw dropped to the floor when I played this game because they added ALL the features I asked for (ok, so I asked for them on a recent review for another devs games, but who cares!) BACKGROUND COLOR: I asked for a full color-scale option when choosing a background color instead of a simple gray-scale, and voila! CANCEL LAST MOVE: I asked for an option to cancel or undo your last move if you made a mistake, and voila! HIGHLIGHTED NUMBERS: I asked for the current numbers to be highlighted so you could easily see the numbers on the picture that you were you were currently filling-in, and voila! Everything else is perfect, there's also a Replay Button, a Zoom and Resize option, a Finished Puzzle Time, as well as the Puzzle Timers Score (how do I apply for that job?) and you, can play any of the Categories at any time (but you must unlock the levels in order within that category) There are 20 Levels within Wild Nature-Characters-Surroundings-Food and Hobbies. I said I would, so I did :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this new Pixel game The developer must have read my mind. I really enjoy the fact that so far all the "boards" have been different shapes. I also like that the number to be "colored" is the ONLY number that is dark. They also advance the next color screen after all colors on 1st screen are finished. I'm still on the 1st "Item" in the list of 5, have to make myself stop after a couple. I certainly hope there w/b more coming in. Again, 1st try a game before buying it. BTW I'm loving all the animals I've done so far. Enjoy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a good game i've never played a game like this. it wasn't bad. it was a game that you could quit and then go back to. there are 2 levels of pictures and then you are done.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Kid friendly Not my cup of tea but i like the departure to simple easy pics. Maybe if you're not into complicated pixel art then this would be for you. I could see a young age group enjoying this too. My current favorite in the genre is the Pixel Art series which is very elaborate.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No Thanks! This game apparently came out over a year ago according to the first 2 reviews. I was eager to try Rainbow Pixel but for me it was disappointing. Had I known in the very beginning that 8Floor is the dev, I wouldn't even have tried the demo. I did complete the demo but it wasn't much fun. The pics cannot be viewed ahead of time, color them in order. Also without a preview, how do I know whether or not I want to purchase? There are 5 subject categories but the images are all locked. Each level is revealed only after the preceding one has been completed. Coloring the large one-color blocks was tedious without a feature to quickly fill in the area. Continually dragging the cursor back and forth was, well, just a big drag!!! Too time consuming. The images were very basic and childish and the pixels didn't blend well in the finished pieces, so they were blurry which happens in other coloring games, too. The undo feature was unnecessary since you can go back to the wrong-colored cell and correct it with the intended color. There were a few background colors available, much better than just the black or drab grey. The timer was not meant to be intimidating, just fun to see if you matched or exceeded the suggested time. The levels can be replayed if you want to better your time. The numbers being filled in stood out from all the rest, the highlighting made it easier to see what I was working on. The colors don't need to be used in order. The zoom feature, as always, is very helpful. The cursor is tiny and moves smoothly. Other than a couple of helpful features, I found nothing appealing about this game. Even though it's a no-buy for me, do try the demo and see if this game has what it takes to add some fun to your coloring entertainment. I look for interesting subjects, detailed colorful backgrounds, some challenge, a few simpler images mixed in. I didn't find that here. But what displeases me, may make you a very happy camper. I hope you find it to be a fun experience!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very, Very Basic While the other dev's pixel art game has very detailed pictures with many, many colors, this one is quite the opposite. As previously mentioned, you can't see other pictures in the level, nor can you complete pictures out of order in the level. You have to complete each picture one by one. Unless it changes later in the game, there were only 5 colors in each picture. Again, this makes the pictures very basic. When I got to the simple picture of the cat, I zoomed in to see the pixels, only to find that some of the pixels became cut off. I was unable to move around the screen to focus on the area I wanted to. I was able to use my computer pen to fill in the pixels, which made it easier. If you accidently fill in a pixel with the wrong color, you can still see the number it is supposed to be, so It makes it easier to go back and fill it in with the correct color. I am looking for a little more complexity and challenge, and unfortunately, this one just doesn't qualify. If you want an easy, basic pixel game, this one might fit the bill.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stupid game Come on BIg Fish, lets see some fun vacation games. We need you best at a time when we are all home most of the time, I open you everyday hoping to find a great game! I haven't seen one except solitaire!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrating This could have been great. If you had the option to double click and fill linked pixels. Filling in one pixel at a time is very time consuming and quite frankly boring.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just Nope If I was an 8 year old, I might give this a better rating, but no. I am a fan of the Pixel Art series, which is geared more toward adults. Definitely would recommend for a child, but not for an adult looking for a fun challenge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I find this game wanting I found this game wanting a reason for me to care enough to keep clicking on & on hoping for a better level, better colors and better pictures. Other then timing yourself, then doing the same picture over 3 times for best 2 out of 3 times (which got old fast for me) There are at least 2 other pixel Art games on Big Fish that are 90% better then this nonsense.
