Lost Artifacts: Frozen Queen Collector's Edition is rated 1.7 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun TM game! I just read the previous reviews. I'm not sure what the problem is. It is similar (NOT the same) to other TM games. It is challenging enough to be fun but not too hard to play(I'm not done yet, we'll see). It has nice graphics. I don't listen to the music, so I can't comment. The levels load in 2-3 seconds, which I think is a plus.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lost Artifacts #5 Frozen Queen Based on completed demo Recently, this type of aerial-task TM type of game is all I've been playing lately, so I have a really long list to compare this to. It's so bad I'm not even sure where to begin. First of all, I'm surprised this is a CE to begin with. The gameplay feels like a newbie DEV created it. The CE extras are horrible. I'm not even sure why they added that attempt at concept art, it's as if it was added quickly to pad the CE content. The gameplay itself is probably the worst I've played of this type of TM. This DEV should test a lot of the other games like this that are high rated and emulate those. ~It actually starts to go downhill at the profile selection. There is no place to choose level of play. No multi-clk, normal, relaxed play and ALL play is timed. ~ You actually have to sit, wait, and watch for the characters to finish a task. They hammer away sooooo slowly that you know you'll be sitting for a spell when you see a rock in the road :/ ~ The number of items it says you need for something blocked doesn't match what your upper toolbar says you have, so you have to go back and pick pumpkins until the sun goes down. It was so annoying to think you had enough of an item to get that beep **your wrong** game effect noise. ~The first few levels your BFF just lounges in the tent as you do all the work. If you try to upgrade the tent to get your friend out, you must restart the level because you don't have enough of an item to bypass the next blocked path. ~There are no fun details like I've seen in a lot of games of this type, no animals, no cute things to see, and all the levels look the same as the last. They are "area" grouped that way so you play several levels with snow (all of the demo)... then later levels are also grouped that way so the player gets bored of the scenery after playing one level in that area. I was so happy when level 4 announced a bear. I thought ok, we are going to see a cute animal; cool. But nope, it's a chunk of carved wood. The pacing is off too and you never connect with the characters. The music plays over and over until you need to shut it off. There are no environmental sounds (like Incredible Dracula does so well) so if you turn off the music it's just the game effect sounds. This game just isn't fun to play. It almost feels like a game that was in the middle of production and they didn't add the details to make it cute and they forgot to test it for the player. The graphics and sound effects are nice and at least it has a walk through guide. I'm sorry for this negative review but hopefully all the players reviews will help improve this series.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Issues at level 43 cannot navigate past level 43...you have to wait for the random elimination of the obstacles in front of the sawmill. wasted money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from What happened to this series??! I always looked forward to new episodes of this series. Mainly because the story was usually pretty good. I made the mistake of purchasing this one as part of a BOGO deal. I wouldn't have done that had I actually played the demo. Why, oh why, isn't there a mode feature? I HATE TIMED GAMES! I play to relax, not to be watching a timer! I gave this two stars mainly because the graphics are bright, colorful and engaging. Other than that, it would have gotten one star. Come on Devs! Have mercy on us old folks who have purchased your games in the past and let us choose what mode we want to play your games in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great way to waste time and experience frustration! Some of the levels are seemingly impossible to get past because you are given insufficient resources and must rely on the removal of barriers which is completely random. If the barrier you need removed isn't done so within the time limit of the game, the "remove" option is blacked out and you must start all over again. The "guide" provided is largely inaccurate. The Lost Artifacts series has never been a top TM game but it was fun enough to play a level here and there during a break. This edition though is an absolute nightmare.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from An awful waste of money I bought this game without playing the demo because I love the previous Lost Artifacts games. What a mistake. This game is awful. Awful graphics, storyline, gameplay. Having got to the third level I looked at the reviews and can only agree that someone with zero experience of developing quality TM games has been let loose on this. Looks like someone on work experience has devised it. Wish I could get my money back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lost Artifacts games are poorly designed I have yet to play a Lost Artifacts game where enough time is given on the clock to complete most levels with greater than two stars. Why play a game that is programed for the gamer to lose.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Serious Glitches While I have no issue with the actual game mechanics, there is a serious programming issue with this game. The screen resolution is not adjustable. Had to fiddle with my System Settings to even "see" the Settings Screen. After I changed from Full Screen to Windowed Mode, still couldn't see the bottom of the screen even at the highest resolution my System takes. Would have been okay, except I couldn't get to the Pause Button OR See the Goals. I agree with other reviewers, the Developer has some serious Quality Control issues. I wanted to test the pause/system lock up issue another reviewer reported. Couldn't even get to the pause button to do so. Developer really needs to Beta Test these games on multiple systems before releasing. On the plus side, you can Click Ahead just as you could in previous games in the Series. Graphics are nice, you can scroll over areas to see what is required. Unfortunately, the Screen Resolution glitch just killed it for me. Can't play the game if you can't see the full screen!! P.S. I am somewhat computer saavy and know how to tweak my System to compensate when something like this happens. I simply don't feel I should have to do that and not everyone knows how to do that! The Game should work properly before being released!
