Customer Reviews
Restaurant Solitaire: Pleasant Dinner is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from better I have been down on 8 Floor games for quite awhile. Cookie cutter games with a lot of hands having far to few cards in the deck. However, the last two have been a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed their mosaic game and this one. There were still several levels that I felt had an inadequate number of cards in the deck but much better than the older older ones. And it had an actual theme that went throughout the game ending with the listing with a realtor. Could they still improve? Yes. They could add some mini games to break up the constant solitaire but overall they are making strides to improve. Better than I can say for other developers. Is this a developer who actually reads reviews and takes people issues into consideration when making a new game?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enjoyable This had pleasant music, simple style graphics but attractive scenes. You have to collect the special (gold ) cards to win level which I did until lvls 5 & 9 which slowed me down :) Otherwise much like other solitaire games with bonuses & a shop etc I quite enjoyed it until end of demo, but perhaps it gets harder after the demo as some games seem to. So far it was quite relaxing - some solitaire games can cause a bit of frustration - but so far so good

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New solitaire patterns As I am playing this I really like the new patterns of the card stacks. Haven't seen some of these before and I've been playing a lot of solitaire lately so any new game is a plus!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pleasant Dinner Another game to find the gold cards (which have stars on them this time) is very colorful. I happen to like these games because when you go from Newbie to Professional the game generally tends to get harder to remove the gold cards.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I did it. I guess I shouldn't have, but I got this game anyway, because the graphics were charming. I liked the card backs and fronts, etc. Used a free coupon. But then I haven't played all of their other games that much, so maybe if I had.....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Here we go again Ok I agree, they change the layout and they change the music but that is it, same old thing yet again For me there is no fun in this ,I know exactly what to expect and as soon as you have all the gold cards thats it game over even if you have Jokers left.Surely they could change this as so many reviewers complain about this time after time. As I have said before , would you go into a store and buy the same DVD just because they have changed the cover? Of course not unless you collect covers. Please please listen to what we want.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from IF THIS IS A PLEASANT DINNER... Yes, they did change the graphics, they always change the graphics, unfortunately, they don't change important game mechanic features. Yes, they changed the music, to the music they use for all of their puzzle games so technically the music didn't change they just changed the game they use the music on. The game is flawed, the game mechanics are slow to respond, the game freezes constantly and more than one card flips at a time when you select the deck pile. Games by this developer are mass-produced with little thought or consideration to the quality of the game or its features. Reviewers state over and over that they want to be able to remove all cards, not just the special cards, but they never bother to offer Solitaire games that will please "we the people" because that would require changing something besides the title and background! Once again, there are 9 Card Graphic Themes to choose from and 3 Font sizes (traditional, themed, and large font), but who cares how fancy the cards look if the game is the same, the features are the same, even the level layouts are the same. As I said, the music changed to the music from their 1001 puzzle games, not to mention that at times the music pauses and you're left with an awkward silence. As usual, the game begins with a tutorial in Newbie Mode which allows you to replay any level. After completing the tutorial or opting out by clicking on the tutorial X, you can choose the Professional Mode which only allows you to play the entire 10 level pack. This is a Higher/Lower style Solitaire game (of course it is) where the only goal is to remove all of the Gold Cards. Once the gold cards have been collected, you will earn the maximum amount of points and the game ends even if other regular cards remain. If you remove all gold cards you'll get a perfect score and the points of that level are added to the next level similar to bowling scores. You must earn the required amount of points to unlock the next location and there are 20 Locations with 10 levels per location. When you remove cards with a candy swirl you will receive either +499 points, a Joker, a Shuffle or Mulligan (undo) and you can buy Jokers, Shuffles, and Mulligans within the Shop with the points you have earned, at a ridiculous price point of 2500-8000-5000. Lucky us, they decided to add several more bonus cards per level which translates to an agonizing game interruption because the game freezes to show you what you have just won. Once again, this game states that there are Achievements to earn, but I've yet to earn one, but then again, I didn't play further than the demo because I have no desire to waste money on a game that has nothing new to offer, and never gives me the option to continue playing after removing all Gold Cards. I refuse to even use a PCC. When and if they decide to change something other than the title, I may consider it, but only if they make an option that allows me to remove all of the cards, not just the Gold Cards. Until they bother to change something that actually matters, I won't bother to buy them or give them above a 1-star rating.
