Road Trip USA II: West is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this game! I am totally addicted to this one! Working my way through and am up to collecting the 4th of 5 shields, or route signs. The cats stopped on shield 3. Sad about that. And you only get robots on the 1st and last shield. The Mahjonng games are entirely too big. Over 200 tiles? UGH! Everything else is great! Would totally buy it again! I hope they are going to do the "EAST" version too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Improvements have been made As mentioned by Pennmom this dev really does care and has made changes so that we now have an easier to see skip function plus a zoom feature that makes all the difference as some of the objects are small. I am not a great lover of hogs but this game really appeals to me and there are lots of skippable mini games too. A joy. Now we now have to wait on Big Fish to upgrade the CE so that it has the new features.A little bird tells me that the upgrade is with them should not be long before all of us who have the CE will get the upgrade. It really is great when Devs listen to what people say. After all that is the whole point of reviews. Enjoy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A DEVELOPER THAT THAT CARES ENOUGH TO MAKE MID-STREAM IMPROVEMENTS GET'S MY EXTRA STAR! I only gave the CE version 4-Stars because there was no magnifying feature and some of the objects were rather small. I have actually had the pleasure of speaking with this developer via forums and can tell you that this Indie cares about what we like and don't like, and took the time mid-stream to make improvements! This is why I ? my Indies! Food For Thought: I've read comments from fellow reviewers who state that we shouldn't bother to write reviews about the things we don't like in a game. But I have spoken with hundreds of developers and they all say that constructive criticism (always with respect!) is just as important, sometimes more so because it helps them to improve their games and it gives players what they really want. If we are getting the games we love, we are supporting the developers which keeps them in business. How will remaining quiet about features we really don't enjoy help anyone? If we don't like the game then we won't purchase the game so Big Fish loses the sale which ultimately effects the developer's profit. The developer has no way to determine what people liked or disliked in the game (assuming they are not stated in the reviews) The next game comes out exactly the same as the one before because the developer was not a mind-reader and it was impossible for that developer to guess that a particular feature was disliked or not enjoyed by the fans. Even fewer people buy this game than the one before because of this scenario and eventually, the developer is struggling all because they had no way of pinpointing key features that are easily remedied. When I stated that items were difficult to find in some of the scenes, this developer added a magnifying glass feature to solve that issue...as an update! That's a developer who is listening, that's a developer who cares, that's a developer who deserves our support! Food For Thought! This is a fun, travel-based, old-fashioned HOG with all sorts of extra goodies hidden in each scene, including those infamous and adorable mascots, Max, Bear, and Ninja the cats for 100,000 extra points (word modes only) You can choose from 3 Avatars, Bear, Max or Ninja (I chose Ninja because he has Ninja Skillz) You can choose from several difficulty mode options: *Tourist: Untimed, unlimited hints, no misclicks, super hints (shows location of shields-robots-cats) *Traveler: Relaxed, timer counts up, unlimited hints, misclick penalty. (using hints in this mode won't allow you to earn speed bonus points) *Explorer: timer counts down, 1 hint per level, misclick penalty. *Adventurer: timer counts down, no hints available, misclick penalty. Each Location has a Robot (60 total to unlock Bonus Mini-Games) a Shield-which is actually a Route Sign (a total of 150 to unlock Unlimited Mode), and a Cat (either Max, Ninja, or Bear to earn +100k points) but only in the Word Modes. This is a confusing feature because the directions make it sound like you will be searching for 5 Shields and 2 Robots in every location, but you will be repeating the HO scenes several times, so to be clear, there will only be one shield, 1 robot, and 1 cat in the current scene IF it is a Listed Word type (versus Silhouetted Shape type) there is also a Riddle Word Find. When you revisit the scene, a new set of collectibles will be added. Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE! Really like the concept of this game. Lots of challenges, and allows me to skip if I don't want to play a particular section. Look forward to the "rest" of the country games!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'VE GOT MY BAGS PACKED, AND I'M READY TO HIT THE ROAD First of all, Big Fish offers many games with similar names: Adventure Trip, Road Trip, and Adventure Road Trip. I've never played Road Trip USA so I have nothing to compare this game to. But I quickly discovered ONE thing: I LOVE THIS GAME. It has A LOT to offer. Here are just a few things that it offers: 1. Choice of cat avatars: Bear, Ninja, and Max. 2. The graphics are good. Colors are not as bright as I'd like. 3. You get your choice of player mode: Tourist, Traveler, Explorer, and Adventurer. 4. You have robots, cats, and shields to find in each scene and sometimes they were hard to find. There are other things this game provides, but I will let others share them with you. This game will entertain you for hours. Try the demo and see for yourself. Show Less

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Why all the postcards Have only given 4 stars, partly due to the repeated 'postcards' after every game. By the finish, 400 (20 at each level) that's excluding bonus games. Just got annoying, probably better at end of each level. Played previous Road Trips, this was much easier apart from Mahjong which was definitely more of a challenge.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I game that stagnants you The pluses - the graphics are o.k., clearer than many detailed HO games, lots of puzzles to choose from. The biggest problem I have with this game it takes FOREVER to move onto another state. For instance, Arizona. There are 5 locations. I've got about 4,000,000 points and I still can't proceed because you have to find shileds, cats, robots, only available in the word hidden objects. You have to cycle through 5+ other repetitive puzzle games just to get back the a word puzzle to gather the shields etc. Even when the game tells you have found all the shields, you have to start over to find the robots you missed. TEDIOUS, TO THE POINT OF B-O-R-I=N=G. I am tired of going over the same locations over and over and over to find the same things. If you want frustration and stagnation, buy this game. The repetition is ridiculous.
