New Lands 2 Collector's Edition is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best TMG played for ages I really don't understand the poor reviews for this game. I absolutely love it and am so glad I ignored them and downloaded the Collectors Edition. Lovely graphics; sweet music and sounds; challenging, but not too hard to get 3 stars. I do find it hard to find the 'mosaics' though. Well worth a try out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game:: Nice Change I almost didn't try this game due to the bad reviews but I am so happy I did. It is fabulous! Nice change of pace from the gather repair move down the path time management games. There is not just one path to follow and many ways to achieve 3 stars on all of the levels. Challenging enough to need to replay a few of the levels while not being impossibly hard or requiring such quick clicking your hand begins to hurt. Give this a try and see if you like it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Sweet Improvement! Playing the demo, I found this to be an improvement from the first NL game. The developers seem to have heard all of our woes about the first one because it isn't as stressful getting through levels in NL 2. There are bonuses you can use but I only used them if I absolutely could not get gold on a level. I did purchase the game and do not regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why the Bad Reviews??!! Was hesitant to try this game due to the overall low ratings/reviews. Normally, my fellow fish are pretty accurate with TM game ratings, and I would steer clear of a game with such low ratings, but with the recent TM game drought, I was desperate. Glad I made the decision to try it, because I absolutely loved it! Game play is focused on growing crops to produce items that are more valuable (i.e., apples -> juice -> lemonade). However, it's not one of those typical farming games...which I still play but am not crazy about. You have the obligatory path clearing, bridge building, etc., but again, focus is more on production. Music was pleasant for a change and storyline was cute, although I almost always skip past those. All of the awards worked and no glitches with any of the levels. Only downsides are: - Massive amount of clicking to complete tasks. But, on a positive note it doesn't require the type of constant, fast clicking that some games have, so your hand doesn't start cramping! Could still use less clicks, though. - Bonuses are time-limited. You receive points for each level you complete that can be used to purchase bonuses, such as lower cost for buildings, increased production, etc., but they only last for 30 mins. :( - So far as I can tell, you don't receive any gold back when demolishing a building/field. - Strategy guide was pretty much worthless. Does not help you find puzzle pieces (sometimes I had to just click everywhere to find them), and there was one level (43, I think) where it LITERALLY tells you to "figure it out on your own"!!!! Think the game could have been a standard edition with such an awful guide. :/ Pointers: - Always click on the birds. They will sometimes give you a pink feather that you can trade for gold ($500 or $650 if your bonus is activated). These come in very handy, especially at the beginning of a level. - Don't be intimidated by the timed version. Rarely ever had trouble meeting 3 stars, even without bonuses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVED it! I played the first game,NL1 and although I liked it I found it a bit "Meh" So when I saw NL 2 I only downloaded it because there was nothing else on offer that I fancied (We are not all fans of "Hidden Object "games!!!!!!!) But I was delighted with this one! It was sweet (pun intended) challenging, and makes you think about how to plan your moves. I play timed mode and easily got gold in all levels. I say easily, but in reality had to use boosts for a couple of levels. They were super useful btw. I loved that the puzzle pieces on each level were not always easy to find. They were well hidden and a challenge to find which I loved! I am glad I took a punt on this game, it was a rare gem and I would highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lemonade does not come from apples Someone needs to go back to school. Apples & apple juice do not make lemonade. Lemons & sugar make lemonade. They need some lemon trees.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Levels but... First off, the gameplay is super fun, the levels are unique and challenging and honestly I don't know how people play these in timed mode! Some of the levels require real planning and if you make a mistake, you can't finish the level. As a "relaxed mode" player, I love that. There were also levels that could be done in a non-optimal way, but it would take a lot longer or require more build/rebuild actions. There's timed and relaxed (no time) mode, you can toggle between them at any time, also in the CE there is a guide but it's not super comprehensive. It'll help you if you get stuck. Each level has a hidden puzzle piece and they are sometimes VERY well hidden. The puzzle pieces will unlock bonus levels (5 in total). As far as gameplay, I rate this game a solid A. But when it comes to story, art, and sounds, sorry it's a big fat F. The storyline is non-existent. Between each "chapter" a one-page maybe even one-line of text from the main character. The character art is cartoony (in a bad way) and tired. (the level art was fine for me) The "plot" is basically collect things for a bake-off. There are no side-twists or new characters or surprises. The music was not bad, for me, but some of the sounds of the buildings were really grating. There's a sound that I think is supposed to be of fruit being squeezed for juice, but it sounds like walking through muck in galoshes. So, put your tunes on, or an audiobook, and enjoy the fun and challenging levels!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Rainy Day Game When I saw the title, I was happy. Despite the first being so hard, I enjoyed playing it on the easy level. This game is definitely an upgrade on the first one. The graphics are good and the game play is simple. I like the fact that the road is not covered with objects; I am tired that all TM games seem to have that nowadays. It is a fun relaxing game to help you relax and have fun. I will have to go back and play levels to find the puzzle piece. I bought the game. Because it will will a way to release stress on a lazy afternoon.
