Customer Reviews
1001 Jigsaw Legends of Mystery 2 is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from I focused on the good things Although this dev always does the same old thing I decided to reverse my thinking and focus on the good things, of course there are bad things but I like that you can sort the borders out and that you can choose what ever puzzle you want. If you have never played these games before or like this developers games then this is not a bad game they just do not listen to what people suggest. One major thing that does annoy me is the constant flashing every time you plave a piece. It seems moe brighter on this game than previous. Is that really needed ? We are all different so some will like this and some will not .Try the demo and see what you think.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from There are lots of things to like about this game, but... First of all, the developers really made some improvements on the game. For instance the pictures are larger then with previous games in this series. I also like that you can ajust almost anything in this game. However I am not going to buy this game, because of the annoying lightflash everytime you put a jigsaw piece in place. I couldn't play more than 2 levels in a row, because of that. It is a pity, because otherwise it really is a great game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Legends of Mystery Number 2?? After an extended search I found there was never a Number 1, unless I'm blind. Even though I quit buying from this dev long ago I still check out the demos hoping for improvements. Very surprised that I was allowed only 15 min, no time remaining, no opportunity to reopen. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else! However it was enough to see that this dev is still ignoring the reviews. The images are not as appealing as the synopsis shots or descriptions may lead us to believe. And 1001 puzzles changed to 500 long ago. Colors are always nice, graphics are sharp but the photography is boring. The subject matter always contains unrelated images. The many staged shots of people and food are unappealing. They don't belong in a collection that is supposed to feature nature, animals, sealife, historical sites, etc. The puzzles are always a big mess with the pieces all over the board, many on top of others and inadequate room to move them out of the way. The sorting option is totally unhelpful. You can adjust puzzle size but the pieces are very small if you prefer 300+. This dev has a very poor track record for many years now, continually ignoring the numerous requests for changes, evidently none of it matters to them. Puzzles lovers now have some very beautiful jigsaw games to choose from on Big Fish and this lazy dev can just sit around and watch the steady decline of customers instead of an increase of stars. Long ago I bought a few gorgeous games from them. I still enjoy them today. Then it went downhill, features are never updated, images often have nothing to do with the theme, number of puzzles were cut to 500, quality now missing. All devs have their die-hard fans who love every game so they think everything is perfectly acceptable as is, thus no efforts to change anything. If you haven't tried this 1001 series or others from this dev, don't let my opinions sway you. We all have different tastes and you might really enjoy these puzzles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful This is awful.. from the selection of pictures to the layout everything... just awful... Bring more jigsaws like My Puzzle Adventures or Puzzle Pieces even Patricias Quest for Sun...which gave you much more enjoyment in the picture selection and layout of the board.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from LEGENDS OF MYSTERY? Okay, I realize that this is just a Jigsaw Puzzle game, therefore I wasn't expecting a story or plot to unfold, but I WAS expecting the puzzle theme to coincide with the title "Legends of Mystery" The images are identical to all of the Jigsaw Puzzle games by this developer, with the same usual themes per box, such as Food, Nature, and People. I looked through every single page on every box and didn't find a single picture that was even remotely associated with a Legend or a Mystery much less a Legends of Mystery theme. I did find one picture of a quaint castle that appeared to be located in the countryside of Scotland but there was nothing about that picture that was legendary or mysterious so once again, this developer simply recycled a previously released puzzle game where all they did was change the title to something that sounded cool but actually had nothing to do with the games' content! This is an intentionally deceitful practice! There have been NO changes OR improvements made because this is identical feature-wise and game mechanics-wise to nearly all other puzzles created by this developer. It has the same music, the same amount of puzzles, heck, it even has the same images that they swap around from game to game! There are Achievement Trophies to earn and a Top Scores leaderboard. There are no options to access any of those features to find out what achievements you are striving to achieve. You can save your puzzle's progress but you can't save the completed puzzle image nor can you download the image as a screensaver or wallpaper, you can't even admire the completed image because they disappear quickly. There is a box to store extra pieces, but there are no options to categorize, label, or sort these stored pieces, nor is there an option to fetch or retrieve certain pieces because you can't sort and label these stored pieces. The current sort option simply scrambles the pieces supposedly to the correct area, such as the top, bottom, right, or left side. Most of the time there seems to be no rhyme or reason for how or why the pieces are sorted the way they are, it's like a roll of the dice?? Wouldn't it be nice to have the ability to sort puzzle pieces by the correct rotation, color variations (zebra stripes, blue sky, green grass), or the shape of the puzzle piece? At least it gives you the option to choose the Border pieces separately, but there is no available option to sort the border pieces by shape or color. There is an option to post a Pictured Image of the puzzle you are working on which also allows you to choose three different sizes of x1, x2, or x3. You can also opt to Ghost the Image on the Background (the puzzle is assembled on top of the ghosted image) It doesn't, however, give you the option to choose the Opaqueness of the Ghosted Image to make the image more or less visible, depending on how difficult you want the puzzle assembly to be. The "ghosted image isn't "ghosted" it's simply a large, stationary picture. There is an available Magnifying Glass to enlarge sections, as well as a Hint feature in case you get stumped. You can easily become "stumped" because the puzzle connection tabs connecting two pieces together, never appear as an actual match (the tab on puzzle piece A looks nothing like the opening in puzzle piece B) most of the time the colors don't even appear to match up because they are using cheap software. You can also choose the Resolution, opt for a single Custom Cursor (a tiny cursor at that!) or change the color of the background to a pastel shade of Pink, Green, Blue, or Gray. Even though they are pastels, these basic color options tend to be too dark with most of the puzzles, so being able to adjust the intensity of the background colors at the very least, makes sense, doesn't it? Here's a fun fact: Even the oldest monitors can EASILY display 16,777,216,256 different colors, today's current monitors can display billions of colors, yet we are only given an option of Four of those 16,777,216,256 colors to choose from as the background color!? Any Puzzle can be modified with Size options, the Shape of the puzzle pieces, and whether or not you want the pieces to Rotate, but even then, it's not optimized to allow you to assemble a puzzle much bigger than 300 pieces. A 300 Piece physical Puzzle purchased off the shelf would be labeled for ages +5 five years old and up! There's an old jigsaw meme that says "I just completed a puzzle in one week and the box says 2-5 years"...great motto for Jigsaws by this developer, eh? Once you complete a Jigsaw Puzzle, you're done, the party's over, you get about 2 seconds to admire your work before the image disappears and the stats pop up...probably for the best! Just put this "Legend of the Mysteriously Missing Mystery Puzzles in the rearview mirror and drive on over to The Woods Forum where I guarantee you will have more fun at thewoodsforum.boards.net
