Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why aren't there more like this? Absolutely fantastic! I haven't played a game as good as this since My Brother Rabbit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ....wish there were more of these.... I had played the Beta demo and loved it. I could not Wait for this game to be released. As soon as it was, I grabbed it up. The storyline is really good. It can be a challenge to find things and on occasion it can also be a challenge to figure out what you need to do next. But overall, it really is a great game and I wish there were more of these games developed and released! What to expect: *You need to locate items to complete tasks to be able to move forward within the story. You are trying to get to the castle to save your furry feline friend. Then your Mom when you get there and then after the game, there us a Bonus round where you try to see/save your Dad. *You will see a LOT of items lying around all over the game and some are hidden but you may not be able to actually grab them. Not until you actually need them. (This is a small pet peeve of mine but eventually I just try to ignore it.) Once you find an area that needs items to be completed, you go on a search for those items. You will need to look in every single nook and cranny. Including lifting up items and looking behind things, etc. A lot of the time, you'll be unable to locate an item or two. But when you complete a task, sometimes the item you were missing, will be hidden within that one task. Kind of cool or kind of annoying, depends on how long you looked for an item before you found that out. lol. *If you get stuck, there is a hint option, but not like the normal hint options you get in an HO Adventure game. After you use 1 or 2 times, you will need to refill it. You have to locate 5-6 leaves/water drops that are close to the section you are in at the time of using the hint up. But, they are morphing so it can be a challenge if you aren't good with morphing items. I happen to love morphing items, but barely needed the hint button. Mostly because I wanted to do the game without help. *There is no map, but you really don't need one. *There are puzzle pieces thru-out the game to collect. They are stored in a book. When you collect 12 per page and put the pic together, it explains a little bit about the characters and some bits of the story. *In the same book of the puzzle pieces, you "will be told" about what happened to get Anna where she is and why. (Having a voice-over on the story - I am not sure if it's suppose to or not. I say this because I started the game and then got sick for a couple of months. When I got better, I went back to playing it. However, when the story in the book was being "told", there was no voices or talking. You read a short skit prior to going into the book and then the book showed very limited pictures. I don't remember if there was a voice speaking when looking at the book when I originally started the game or not, so unfortunately, I can't say definitively one way or the other. However, IF NOT, then this would be a negative in my rating on this game. Seeing the pages complete was not a clear explanation and no way to go back to see what the story was because once the words were flashed on the screen they went away fast and you can not get them back up. Not a good thing in my opinion if you are interested in the storyline when you play games. If you don't care, then yay, no worries.) *As briefly mentioned earlier, there is a bonus game where you try to find your Dad. Overall, I really did enjoy this game and I would highly recommend this game to any level of player. It is entertaining, makes you think and it's good for those who like to do searches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charming and delightful What a very pleasant surprise. I was braced to be playing a children's game, but soon found out it was fun as an adult to play it. I've not finished the game yet, but am looking forward to getting back to it as soon as I can. Love the storyline, the artwork and the puzzles. In fact I like everything about the game so far. A wonderful bit of escapism in these strange troubled times...well done to the developers and thankyou to the person who built the story around his daughter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needs a Walkthrough This is a really great game! It reminds me of "Tiny Bang Theory" from several years ago. However, I'm stuck on the chess game and can't get past it. I'd love to have some help but there is none - even though it's a Collector's game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't be fooled by all the negative comments of the "I need a guide" players Finally, a game without finding shards to construct a mirror. Without being taken by the hand and led to the finale. A game that needs you to use your brain and intellect. Very in line with the award winning My Brother Rabbit. Certainly not for the more brain dead, cookie cutter game players. If you are in for a real challenge, this is your adventure game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fairytale come to life This game really is, as the title says, a fairytale come to life. I am helping Anna rescue her faithful companion Tail while avoiding the wicked Queen from capturing Anna. I tried the 1 hour trial and had to buy the game as I was so immersed in it. This is not a HoG. Its an adventure/strategy game. There are items to find, puzzles to solve, places to explore, things to discover. Some of the puzzles can be quite challenging. I do my best to solve them all but a couple have had me beat so the skip option is a great bonus. The graphics are delightful and beautiful. Its giving my brain a good workout but I am thoroughly enjoying playing this game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Tale for Anna Collector's Edition This is a wonderful game! I thoroughly enjoyed playing it. The graphics, story line and games are excellent. I am so sorry I finished it! Please get more games from the authors! I was getting so bored with previous HOGs. They all were starting to seem the same. Thank you for A Tale for Anna!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Point and click adventure What a nice change from the games that have been offered of late. Nice relaxing game. I play for a while and then leave. Keeps pulling me back to find more items. What a lucky child to have a dad that makes a game like this for his daughter. Very magical and fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved the change from the cookie cutter games! I won't go into any game descriptions because others do that really well, I just want to thank the Dev's for bringing us something refreshingly different after we have been asking for soooo long, THANK YOU!! That's all :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Probably not CE worthy, but close enough....certainly the best entertainment this year. This game was quite challenging cause I'm lazy and like to use the hint a lot. But you had to work for your hints in this one. I was a little disappointed that there was no strategy guide, but then it would have only taken me a few hours to complete rather than the 7 hours it did take. After what we've been getting for games in the last 2 years this was a very pleasant change. I'm more of an entertainment gamer but I also like something I need to strategize to play. Although, I wouldn't buy another one like this because it's pretty sneaky not giving a strategy guide so that it takes many HOURS to play (which is what most of us are complaining about, that and a decent storyline, and not mundane tasks over and over and over again) AND you have to work for every step of the game. There was repetition and a lot of going back and forth (mostly to collect the sparkly leaves for a hint). But it was interesting and held my interest the whole time. The story was not new but the mechanics were so I enjoyed this thoroughly. Definitely not for the faint of heart and for those who want easy or for those who like hand held direction. It is meant for those who are intermediate or expert for sure.
