Montgomery Fox and the Case Of The Missing Ballerinas is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a Fan! Ok. I have to admit, I didn't think I'd like this game. I reluctantly tried it out of boredom. Surprised in the best way! I made the purchase. I am not the reviewer who leaves no stone unturned in a review, giving you all of the minute details. I am the reviewer who tells you whether I had fun or not. Yep, had lots of fun. In fact, stopped mid game to write this review because in spite of the annoying music (to me anyway), this game is fun, has a challenge, and I didn't want to stop playing. Keep 'em coming!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Monty Fox is at it again I really enjoy these deceptively simple games. This one had a lot of play time to it, although of course one stops after one or two HOS, but the story line kept me coming back! It seems a little darker this time, and I don't know that I like that; too much like every other game with a dark villain. Certainly we have a cliff hanger ending! But I love the lighthearted animal town and the different characters they keep coming up with! I would like them to focus on that for the next game, or at least be aware thats what we fans are looking for. And while we're at it, what's this thing with the collection of HO I keep finding and they're put on a page and saved? I've looked and looked but I couldn't find a pattern or a reason for them! Maybe next time we'll find out. I highly recommend that game:)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Dev I have the 1st Montgomery Fox and this one is just as good. They are the devs that brought us the original Mortimer Beckett games (the best), so I can see the resemblance to the characters and artwork. It is a pretty straight forward hidden object game with a few puzzles thrown in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ONE OF THE BEST GAMES ON BIG FISH I purchased this game without playing the trial. I have the first one of the Diamond Necklace and played it 3 times already. This is by far the most enjoyable game on Big Fish. It is long, It is fun to play and it is a 5 star game and more. Love this game so much I was so excited to see it come out today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Nice Little Treat I really enjoyed the previous game and this one is also delightful. The little storyline line adds interest to the game. Last time we had the case of the missing necklace, this time we're searching for missing ballerinas. It's a relaxed game with no timer and no misclick penalties to fuss with. It's the same setup as before with very scant instructions, no extra options. All sounds can be muted so that should please a lot of folks. Find part of the magnifying glass which goes to bottom left of screen, the collectible items go to bottom right. The Hint Feature will definitely be used and it recharges quickly. The dialogue is easy-reading, it cannot be skipped, but there's not a huge amount. I never felt the urge to skip any of it. The hidden objects are list items. If unable to find the item in blue print, there are 3 other possibilities, click on the word until the right one pops up. The Zoom Zone doesn't automatically disappear as in other games, so some HOs might still be there. It's an extra little challenge that I enjoyed. The Zone is accessed by clicking on the little "bubbles". The map appears at beginning of game and the search starts at the Opera House, a big arrow at bottom left of screen will take you to the next level when all has been found. Progress will be lost if you leave a scene before completion, so don't exit too hastily. The graphics are colorful, big, bright and clear. There are just a few items at a time on the list and disappear as soon as they are found. I didn't come across any labels that were misleading which is a problem in some of the other hidden object games. The scenes were full but not cluttered which I appreciated. This cute little game looks like a "piece of cake" at first glance, but I did not easily find the HOs in spite of the bright colors and images that were not the typical tiny size. All seem to be hiding right there in plain sight, so the devs worked a little magic on this game to make it fun and challenging without everything blended into very dark areas as we know can be very frustrating. It is such a downside of many other HO games that I have played. Thank you devs for that extra little touch that makes such a big difference, at least for me. A journal keeps you posted on the activity, the achievements are displayed in Mr. Fox's office. There were no tech issues. The demo was fun. I think this game will appeal to most HO lovers, no matter the age. Not once was I bored, there are lots of things to find in enough levels to keep me busy for many hours. But I usually don't play through an entire game in one sitting so it will last even longer! I was happy to be unable to progress through the levels at an easy-peasy pace. The fun challenge is there, making this a worthwhile HO game and after the demo I was eager to purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Montgomery Fox and the Case Of The Missing Ballerinas I enjoy playing games through this developer and it makes a change to play a game that is similar to Sherlock Holmes

Rated 5 out of 5 by from old school fun What a great refreshing game! If you enjoy the HO puzzles part of playing hidden object games....this is the one! Unpretentious, good length...ok story...but it's not about the story...that just adds...Very much enjoyed this game!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprisingly Fun HOG I wasn't too sure about this game but I gave it a shot anyway. The verdict is that I like it! This is more akin to an old school HOG: it is very simple in execution and is predominantly made up of HO scenes with a minigame thrown in. During the trial period, which is what this review is based on, I did a bunch of HO scenes and one minigame. This game is a bit odd. For one, it seems really kiddish but it could be a rather dark storyline. The scenes are colorful and look large and uncluttered. There are only three words on the object list to find at any given time but even so, this game's HOs are not super easy. The objects are well-hidden, which is a big bonus in my view. There are even collectibles (parts of a magnifying glass in each scene) and a random object you put in the main character's office. This is a nice feature for an SE. One thing that shines for me is the HO scene artwork. It is very much like a 1950s detective story, complete with a lot of objects from the time. There are also some anachronistic elements, such as CDs and the like, but the overall feel is like this is not taking place in our day. I love the old cars! Why did I not give the storyline a 5 out of 5? I can't tell yet where it's going and I also found some typos in the fox's diary. I also took off one box for the fun factor due to the 'close-up' area of each HO scene continuously showing bright blue sparkles. If there's one thing I would like to ask of the devs is to have them be less glaring. I found them disconcerting, even rather annoying, for some reason. I also took into consideration in my final score the fact that one can't go back and replay scenes they might want to replay. I think that would be a nice addition to this game considering that if other players hit the 'hint' button as often as I did and want to redo a scene without any or they forgot to pick up one of the collectibles, they can't. Overall, I think this is a nice SE HOG and personally will be purchasing it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not too tough but fun HOG I got confused by some of the reviews as if they had the wrong game. This is a fairly straightforward HOG - not a puzzle - just a "find it" type. It isn't my favorite genre but this type is my favorite type if I'm going to play hidden object. Give it a try.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from THIS MIGHT BE A 'KID-ORIENTED' GAME ,BUT SOME OF TH E HIDDEN OBJECTS WERE HARD TO FIND. AT LEAST FOR ME :) This game is geared towards, I would say, older children/young adults because some of the hidden objects were difficult to find. The 'HINT" button was my friend throughout the 30 mins that I played the game, and I kept wondering when the list for the items to find was neverending. The music was somewhat irritating, and I seldom have the music set where I can hear it in playing games because I find it irritating. The graphics were good, colors had a variety of palettes that fit the game perfectly. All in all, not a bad hidden object story to play, because I find it nearly impossible for me to find a decent game that Big Fish has to offer me that I would even consider wanting to play.
