Rated 5 out of 5 by from Far better than I thought! When I first saw this game, I thought it was like the pixel-paint games we've all loved (and hated) in the past but to my surprise, it wasn't. It's so much better. Sure, the first few (including the mini tutorial) are easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy, but the harder ones boggle my brain. I'm about three-quarters of the way through the game, but I know that once I finish, I'll be starting again to best my deplorable times. An absolute keeper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TRY THIS GAME!! YOU MIGHT BE SURPRISED! I played the beta of this and knew I would buy it as soon as it was released. I was sad when the beta ended because I was hooked! Like reviewer critthinker said, I didn't think I'd like this type of game. I was wrong! It's a game that makes you think. At first it's easy and you think "Big whoop..connect the same colored numbers!" BUT... each level is more challenging and it's really a lot of fun. I encourage you to try it. I think you'll be happily surprised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS TINY LION WENT FROM MEOW TO WOW! I'm impressed, what a unique game with out-of-the-box thinking! Threaded is a new genre by a new developer but they have already won my heart with I Love Finding Cats & Pups (cuz I do love finding cats & pups) This Tiny Little Lion may have entered the market purring, but I have a feeling they are just beginning to find their roar! This is a Pixel Art/Strategy/Puzzle thinking kind of game, it's not a difficult game to figure out but as you progress, you will be tasked with finding the right combinations to "thread" your design. The game mechanics are simple. draw a line from one matching-colored digit to the other to create a thread (a number 4 to a number four of the same color using exactly 4 squares, number 8 to its matching-colored 8 using exactly 8 squares, etc.) This may sound boring, and it will be for the first few levels with smaller threads, but eventually, the numbers get larger, and figuring out the correct directional combination to connect threads gets more challenging...and you will be addicted! Squares with a number 1 just require a single click so I would click all the number 1 squares first and then I would start in the bottom right corner and work my way out and up. I would fill in lower numbers first as I worked my way to the left, and upward, one section at a time. This way you can start to see the patterns when smaller numbers with no other combination possibilities surrounded the large numbered areas. Sometimes, you'll just have to keep trying different patterns when making connections if you block the path of another number. If your thread took a wrong turn, the incorrect placements will have an X once you complete a thread. I found that the X's don't appear every time, and sometimes I would get jammed with an impossible connection pattern if an incorrect thread pattern blocked further moves so I'm assuming some puzzles could have multiple pattern options? (or perhaps you have to earn the X hints by filling in more cells correctly?) There is a "Solve Line" feature that must recharge each time it is used. You can zoom the screen using the + & - tabs, and there is a magnifying glass feature but I have had no issues seeing the screen in a normal mode so far. I will say that some of the numbers were too close in color. It was difficult to see the difference between shades of some of the colors, especially the darker colors so I'm pretty sure color-blind people will find this game frustrating. (two of my kids are color-blind, it's very common, 1/12 men and 1/200 women are color-blind!) Before the start of a puzzle, you are given a clue as to what the embroidered puzzle will be, such as "Though I have no arms & legs I do lack, I still carry my home upon my back" After completing the puzzle you get to answer a really fun Trivia question that ties into the image (choose from 3 answers) such as the name of the voice actor for Speedy Gonzales. I loved these trivia questions! It would be super cool to chat with Tiny Little Lion! There's always something interesting going on at my new forum so if you miss chatting with fellow fishies from the Big Fish Forum days then grab a thermos full of coffee, throw on your favorite jeans & t-shirt, and lace up your hiking boots...ah who are we kidding...just keep your comfy fuzzy slippers on, and come chillax with us by the fire at thewoodsforum.boards.net

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Different Kind of Puzzle! (Based on the Beta) I played the beta for this. When I first saw the beta offer, I didn't think I would like it, because I don't enjoy pixel art games, and it looked like those. But this drew me right in. I haven't seen a game/puzzle like this before. Basically you color in segments of a particular length between squares marked with that number. The puzzle is in figuring out which ends go together and how to draw the lines. Once you have it solved, it makes a picture. The pictures are detailed homey images, the music and theming is very calming. It is a great way to de-stress after a day of everything else. I loved this beta, I did a little happy dance in my chair this morning when I saw it for sale and immediately bought it. Looking forward to playing it all the way through!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love a challenge and something different I will be the first to admit I am not much of a fan of art games but I am a puzzle geek. This is not going to suit everyone and for some they may find the pixel art not up to a high standard but for me it is more about the puzzle aspect than the actual art. This is a totally different way of doing things and at first you may think it is far too simple. trust me it's not. You can choose which grid size you like but I would reccomend the 15 x 15 to start as this will get you used to how it works then try a different level. The larger grid you choose the harder it gets and once you are dealing with lines to connect of 10 plus it becomes a real challenge and often I have to redo a section. I like the zoom and the autofill option for single numbers. If you are struggling with the larger numbers try connecting the small ones first, I found this much more easier to tackle the larger lines. It really is a case of starting off and getting the idea of it , it seems simple but it soon becomes extremely challenging, well for me it does and it is one of the few art games I want to keep playing. Try the demo and see what you think but make sure you try a larger grid in your demo time as this will show you what's in store. Maybe if we get another game they can work on improving the artwork but for a first time attempt I am enjoying this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FINALLY another Link-a-Pix game! I've been a fan of this type of game ever since I played the first Puzzler World game in 2012. There aren't very many Link-a-Pix at Big Fish, but there are a few, along with their sister type game, Fill-a-Pix. (I've listed the ones I know of for both types at the bottom of this review.) Link-a-Pix games are sort of a cross between mosaic games and pixel painting games. You're given a colored number somewhere on the grid and another of the same color number somewhere else on the grid. You need to connect the two using the number of squares indicated by the number. The line connecting the two can be straight or look like a pile of spaghetti. It just has to use exactly the number of squares called for. Once you've connected all the numbers correctly, you've completed a picture. This game has an added riddle at the start of each picture to help you figure out what you might be drawing and at the end of each picture a related trivia question. The only thing I didn't like about the game might be your favorite thing about it: If you put a color in a "wrong" square, a little red "x" shows up in that square. I don't like hints, so that irritates me and it can't be turned off. This seems to only happen if you put the wrong color in a spot that makes it impossible to complete another color/number combo, so you can still make mistakes that aren't automatically pointed out. That's a little confusing to me. For those interested, Fill-a-Pix games are similar, but the idea is that for each colored number you need to color in exactly that many squares "touching" that number from any direction. So, a red 9 would have to have the numbered square and all the squares surrounding it colored red. A red 1 would have the numbered square OR any one of the surrounding squares colored red, but not more than one. Below are all the Link-a-Pix and Fill-a-Pix games offered by Big Fish that I'm aware of. Link-a-Pix: Puzzler World Puzzler World 2 Puzzler World 2013 Line-It: Case of the Stolen Past Fill-a-Pix: Mystery Mosaics (but NOT Mystery Mosaics 2) Mystery Riddles

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Game! My first thought on seeing the description and images was, "Oh, no! Not another android/phone game that's being palmed off as a PC game!" But after I read PennMom's review I decided to try it and I'm really glad I did. It's different and a lot of fun. Don't let the tutorial put you off. It's very simplistic, and it took me a few seconds to realize that I had to follow the steps they illustrated on the puzzle screen, not just try to scroll through the instructions. After just 30 minutes of the demo I was hooked. I followed PennMom's recommendation to start with the lowest numbers first, and the button for selecting all the single-cell pixels is really helpful. I hit that each time I start a new puzzle so I don't have to search for all the number "1's." It's great to see something different and addictive. I hope this dev keeps offering more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a terrific strategy game I've played this game over the years as I would happen to find in various places, so I was really happy to see this offering from Big Fish. I knew immediately that I would purchase it. Let the game fill in all of the #1's for you. Then look for the smaller numbers (2's, 3's, 4's) as they are pretty easy to figure out once you've played for a little bit. Pay attention to the color coding since it's helpful. When you get to the larger numbers (8 and above) you sometimes have to put your thinking cap on, but the game lets you know when you're not doing it correctly. Right click on a thread to delete it and then try again. You can also let the game solve a line/thread for you, but the game decides where to do that - you don't get to select a particular line. I don't care for much of anything in the pixel category and I don't think of this as a pixel game. The completed pictures are pretty awful and I have no interest in them at all, although I do like the riddle about what the picture will be. I hope this isn't the only "threaded" type of game we see on BF in the future. I love games like this that make you engage the brain cells.
