Welcome to Primrose Lake 2 is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! The Wait is Over! I have been waiting for what seems like forever for the sequel to Welcome to Primrose Lake, and I was not disappointed! I love the storyline just as much as the first one. I, too, hope this will fast become a new series. We haven't had enough good Time Management series since Emily and all the old-school TMs. Can't wait for #3!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely to be back at the lake! I've enjoyed both games in what is, hopefully, a new series. The folks of Primrose Lake are as endearing as Emily and people of Snuggford. Thanks for this, loved it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun Sequel This review may or may not make it to the board. I purchased this from the original developer. No sluggish game play, no glitches. It was also available over 5 months ago!! Honestly, I don't know what's happened to Big Fish. Games purchased here are buggy when they're not if you get them elsewhere. The offerings are seriously lacking in variety and quality as well. **sigh** Seriously considering terminating a membership I've had for almost a decade. Hope they get it together.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I LOVE THAT EACH CHAPTER WAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TYPE OF TIME MANAGEMENT SCENARIO First of all, this is the kind of game where you can earn all 3 stars on each level without having to speed-click at a break-neck pace. The goals are completely doable, requiring organization, multi-tasking, and of course, Time Management skill versus frustration and and a bunch of random mad-clicking, which is how a Time Management game should be! I also loved the fact that each chapter had a completely different theme, for example, in the Historical Society setting I was selling magazines, notebooks, stamps, and even making copies on the copy machine. The next chapter was a Resort where I was issuing keys to a room, and then delivering coffee & newspapers, etc...I just have one question... what the heck were all those single lumberjacks doing in that 5 minute room? Some levels have "Challenge Quests" where you are tasked with doing something above and beyond the normal goals, such as completing several full orders, reading papers, making copies, or having full hearts on all customers. Those levels are shown with a Crown. After the first few levels a pop-up Raccoon appears briefly and needs to be clicked on to catch him for extra diamonds and those levels will have a Raccoon Face icon as well. The Diamonds earned are used to collect resources and upgrade the locations. Some of the items require a combination, some require multiple copies, and some inventory items need to be restocked. There are 24 Achievements that have several categories and I loved the fact that when you earn an achievement it shows up on the icon and when you click on the achievement icon, it automatically takes you to each individual achievement, one at a time. I'm getting bored with the same old diner-dash TM games where the goals are basically the same, they just take place in different restaurants. With this game, each chapter was a completely different theme and I wasn't just serving snacks to customers who get angry and refuse to leave a tip! Well done Square Root of Tree, well done! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Glad to see Primrose Lake 2 I love time management games. I have been waiting for this game to arrive on Big Fish. I like the story, and all the characters. But this game came with something the last game didn't have, BUGS. Every level, the bugs appeared. A lot of heading shaking, stuttering, and hesitation. It also seemed short. Hope to see updates to fix the bugs. I recommend this game, because there has not been too many good games lately. But beware of the bugs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Welcome to Primrose Lake 2 Based completed demo (+ a few more levels) Actual rating more like 3.8 Initially I rated this a high 5? but that dropped the more I played this game. I grew really frustrated with the actual gameplay. Being a fan of this type of Delicious-like game I have completed loads of them over time so I have a lot of experience with the TM mechanics, timing, and gameplay that most of them have. The problem I had with this one was: There is a >lag< between the time you collect the items you need to supply a customer with and the time it takes to actually collect & deliver them. Our main character is way too slow. You end up trying to fill an order you *already* tasked just to find your (too-short) tray only holds the bare minimum of items. Hopefully the tray gets larger as the game progresses which would help by being able to prep items in advance to allow for her lagging. It's a compounded issue because the customers give you attitude & remove hearts for not being quick enough. I am still in the process of playing the game. I haven't given up on it despite the frustration it continuously creates. ? I loved the outdoor locations we played in and love the characters. It has a cute story you want to hear more of. ?I really love that it was released as a Standard Edition and not a CE (super unusual for games in this exact grouping.) So I did end up buying it right away, due to that. Overall I felt this was a well designed game with a poor delivery of the TM mechanics. I suggest you demo it for a good while first. I'm still glad I bought it because the characters, story & locations are charming.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leaves you hanging The game play is good if you like time management games. The difficulty level was low, pretty easy to get through. The story is entertaining and I want to know more about the characters and the story itself and that's where my review goes sour. The game abruptly ends in the middle of the storyline. Same as the first one. I had to replay the first game to remember what happened and then the second game just ends without any kind of resolution. Quite annoying. Now we have to wait a year of so until the 3rd installment? Very disappointing. Not sure if I recommend this game or not. I kind of want to give up on it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun game but this release has display issues Their TM games are unique and fun, no doubt. But it seems the Primrose Lakes have issues, at least on the new MacBook Pro. The first one had a few levels with glitches. This release does not properly display the items at the bottom of the screen that you need to give to customers. You pretty much have to figure it out and remember where they are. Then, because of the poor display, you keep accidentally clicking pause on the game since items are placed right in the same area. Then sometimes, the raccoon is hiding under the same masked area and you cannot see it so you click blindly, hoping to find it. Now, to the improvements: Of all their TM that I have played, this is the first time that they made the levels sequential instead of hopping from location to location. All in all, I am glad I invested in their Barbarous Tavern. To me, that had the least issues. This was is fun too, if you don't mind the above.
