Rated 5 out of 5 by from Count OLDGREY'S mansion i really like this game! I am really into dark, scary, spooky games & this one hits the nail right on the head! I'm going to buy it so I can finish it & I will probably play it again. I have liked all of the Haunted Legend games so far. Keep up the good work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hidden Object Game~ Love this game! I usually only buy the CE's...love the extra content to them. I saw where this wasn't scored as high as I would have liked so passed up the CE. I had a coupon so used it for the Standard game. Now I wish I had purchased the CE. I play games nearly daily, more intermediate than anything and it is perfect for me. Not to hard and not to easy....perfect! Love the graphics and the mini games, too. Honestly, how could anyone not like this game? I find that the ERS games are on the top of the list for great games!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sherlockian murder mystery a la Frankenstein You play a detective called to investigate the murder of a young woman in a manor with ghosts, a midget who runs Frankenstein like experiments, and attending to the injuries of the manor's inhabitants. Yes, it is a little farfetched, but a fun journey through it all. The game has many puzzles, each can be played Easy or Hard mode. There are 3 modes of play, and Hardest mode still gets Hint and Skip. There's a special machine at bottom left corner that requires finding clouds, suns, and stars, that's used at the finale of the game. This is a standard issue HO game. There is a warning about scenes of violence, but it is very G-rated and not scary at all. The artwork is done well, and if you like puzzles, this game has several frustrating ones to solve.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a bad little game at all! Another adventure with the 'little man' I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. The storyline was good and the level of challenge not too bad either. Some of the other comments did not rate it very well but I think that you really have to make up your own mind. What pleases some might not be impressive at all to others. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it did not last long enough !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Decitful Deal... This game was really good, the puzzles were a challenge but not overly hard. The story line was great, there were some shocking moments so i would not recommend this game to a younger player.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from NOT the best of the series....but still. If you have OCD about obtaining a complete series..then, okay. This will probably NOT be your favorite, tho. I won't ruin the game by giving a detailed play by play. As a consumer, we all deserve a certain level of surprise and drama. The Storyline did not work for me. Couldn't wrap it all up neatly in my head...with a great flow. But no matter. I am a "mini game junkie". They ran from easy to hard..but with the option of Casual to Hard...which...depending on which I chose...made it acceptable to me. I am not good at all types, but love to challenge myself. This would be a good Coupon Game. Choose the Hard options on the Mine Games..and enjoy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mad Scientist and a Demon too? After reading the previous review, and since I like some of the older games better than some of the newer ones, I thought maybe... but after playing the demo, I suspect this might be an older game never released on BFG that has been upgraded to include newer features such as a custom setting and an interactive map, and that this is possibly the first game in which the icky little dwarf appears. Or maybe not. I don't like puzzles and skipped all of them. The hint and skips can be set to 5 seconds. There were a good number of HOS, but they were extremely easy. The graphics are adequate to tell the story. There is a gimmick weather machine, but its purpose was never explained during the demo, or else I just missed it. You collect snowflakes to fill the machine. No idea what it will do once it's completely filled. I'm giving it three stars because I thought it was "just barely okay," but it would be misleading for me to recommend it. You'll have to decide for yourself.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from FAULTY GAME There has been a murder committed at the Oldgrey Manor and the Minister of Interior has asked you to investigate. Why just one sentence? Because this game is completely and utterly boring. This game has nothing new to offer, it's the same as hundreds of other games available. The graphics are typical ERS hand drawn graphics, dark scenes, large manors, iron gates, locked doors, fireplaces burning, everything looks the same as all the other ERS games, same furniture, same time frame, same clothing styles, same dark ages, stuck in time era. To make matters worse, some of the characters are made to look like incompetent idiots, one officer is holding a live electrical wire and says "would you look at this" The father, Robert gets offended when you question him about nut shells on the floor, because he feels it's perfectly normal to throw them on the floor if he own the house. The chief of police panics when he hears commotion coming from a room with a locked door but can't figure out how to get to them. After playing the demo, I've come to the conclusion that this murder is not worth solving. The storyline is always the same, you are a detective investigating a murder again, and you do very little investigating because you're too busy finding and mixing medical concoctions, and fixing broken and missing locks on every single door and gate in the manor, not to mention numerous trinkets, picture frames, first aid kits, ponds and boxes. How the family members survive without you is a mystery to me! There are two features in this game (and all other games ERS offers) that I absolutely despise. First of all, I have to play their games in a small windowed mode, because the game is so stretched on my large monitor that I cannot see important features on either side, including the options menu which I can only see the first couple of letters. Even in the HOP's there are often items on my list located on the edges that I would never find unless I shrink the screen size. I have mentioned this every time I beta test these games, but it never gets resolved. Secondly, the Hidden Object Scenes are always repeated at least once, and sometimes twice in the same place which is so boring, I wish there was an option to skip the HOP's! The Hidden Object Scenes are all the same, and probably always will be slightly Interactive List finds. There is usually a small puzzle available to solve to receive the final inventory item. They are so predictable, that I can find most of the items without even looking at the list! Once again, you will have to revisit the HOP scene at least once, which make the HOP's in this game even more boring. The Mini Games are nearly the same in every Haunted Legends game. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Select lock pins in the correct order by trial and error. 2) Move the light projections to match the symbol on the stone. 3) Recreate the image by selecting and dragging puzzle slrips. 4) Fix a torn photo by correctly placing torn fragments. 5) Select gears in the correct order by trial and error. 6) Rotate tokens so that all symbols line up. The Collector's Edition has 16 replayable Mini Games, 23 Hidden Object Scenes, 9 Movies, 4 Music Soundtracks, 5 Screensavers, Concept Art pictures, Wallpapers, 11 Achievements to earn, 12 Collectible Skulls, Weather Stone collectibles (5 burning suns, 5 rain clouds, 5 snowflake symbols) a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter.
