Zombie Solitaire 2: Chapter 1 is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frightfully Fun I have the first Zombie Solitaire and love it so I tried this one. This one is even better with a lot of added features. Even on relaxed version it can get challenging. The graphics and sounds are really good and not annoying. Another good feature is a redo button if you want to retry a level. I enjoy this and bought it as soon as I tried it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zombie Solitaire If you like one up, one down solitaire with fun characters you will love this game. There are "small" hidden objects to find, and other adventures along the way through the levels. You can also acquire special stickers to gain more money,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I normally hate these games ....loving this one The solitaire games requiring striking one card higher or lower over and over get boring for me really fast, even with the addition of helpers, such as bombs, keys, etc. The reason I don't like them has much to do with the total lack of inspiration on behalf of the game maker. In Zombie Solitaire the developer adds a large degree of fun during the game. I won't go into how the game progresses as other reviewers have done so adequately. I will say the game offers challenges and requires intelligent use of assist cards to keep the game moving. The occasional employment of very simple HO sections and a Match 3 thrown in every now and them breaks up what could otherwise be monotonous. While I would not spend any $$$ for such a game, using a free game code fit the bill here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a fun game I enjoyed the first version of this game and this one is even better, as noted by other reviewers. Being able to re-play a level to improve your number of stars is a "must" in my book. Also, the mini-games are a fun addition - more bang for the buck, I think. The cards you buy to aid you in winning really are good and very helpful. The sound effects are fun, too. This is a perfect game to play when you just need something fun and silly to play to shake off a day at work or any other time when you just need to give your brain cells a bit of a vaycay for a little while - although I find it difficult to stop playing. I keep saying "I'll play just one more level" and I keep going and going.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ZOMBIES NEED BWAINS I loved the first Zombie Solitaire but there were a couple of features that I hated, one of which, was not being able to repeat any of the levels to achieve a perfect score. Zombie Solitaire 2 however, not only allows you to repeat the levels as often as you want, but they have added so many "out of the box thinking" features, that I had to have it! In the first Zombie Solitaire, the infamous Tofu Burger, had created a Zombie Virus known as Z1. After surviving all the zombie attacks, you finally made your way to a remote island, seemingly unaffected. Unfortunately, someone obviously snuck in a Tofu Burger, and now you must escape the island and make your way through thousands of zombies. Rumor has it that citizens are being rescued, but you must make it safely to the helicopter landing site, a mere 100 levels away. This is a Higher/Lower type Solitaire game where you try to make large chains of cards either one higher or one lower than the last card. Each card played will give you coins that fall down and bounce all over the place. Large chains will fill the Combo Meter to earn more points. You can use the coins earned to purchase Bonus Cards and Wildcards, or purchase New cards and Backgrounds. When you earn 3 Stars on a level, you will earn a Redo feature, and if you use a redo and replay the level, you will get the redo back as if you haven't played that level yet. Each level (after tutorial levels) will have a Wildcard to earn once uncovered, and the Wildcards are Number Specific. Throughout the 100 + levels you can earn Sticker Achievements, once you collect all Stickers in a category, you will earn extra points. In the Shop section, you can buy cards that will help you win, especially as you progress because the levels are harder and you get fewer deck cards to use. There is a Zombie Slap card which removes a card of your choice, a Zombie Killer card which removes 2 zombies, a Zombie Blaster which removes an entire row of zombie cards, and a Zombie Joker which can be used as any card of your choice. There will be Foul Card Blockers that require finding the card to remove it such as a Bird Gun to remove pesky Infected Birds, Machete Cards to remove the Jungle Cards, and Bolt Cutters to remove Chained Cards. One of my favorite features in this game was Making Choices along the way. You will come across different people who are asking for help, which sidelines your own goals. You can choose whether or not to "help" them or keep on trucking. After a few levels, you can play Mini Games and Hidden Object/Fragment Scenes. The Match 3 game is actually quite fun and available in Limited or Unlimited Moves modes, requiring you to Swap specific tiles in order to destroy Zombies before they come after your BWAINS!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Zombie for fun solitaire Have bought other zombie solitaire games, but this is so much better. It has various mini games during the game. They are easy, but it breaks up the game making it more fun. It does not need a lot of thinking, but for a relaxing time I found it ok. During the game we have to make some choices which can either be worth one or three stars. not until choice is made do we know what we have won. There are also some very simple hidden object puzzles to help with the journey. overall just a bit of fun.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pleasant surprise (another old man review) After the first installment of this game I almost did not try the sequel. The first game was boring and in spots impossible without cheating. To my amazement after the very long tutorial I found myself playing it for extended periods of time. The mini games sprinkled throughout are a bit much for a tired old man like me so I just do them on casual. I do think the basic premise of the mini game, giving diabetic zombies candy to kill them is a bit insensitive. I have had relatives die from diabetes and did not find that amusing. I am almost done with the main game now and will keep it filed under "3am timewaster" on my many sleepless nights. I do recommend this game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Zombies are Coming to Get You! This game is far better than the first one. There are tricky jigsaw pieces to find, which you can skip or use the question mark hint. A Match 3 in candies and card game of the one up one down variety. I think however, they could certainly improve on the match 3, only one sort of candy gives you a bonus. Also every now and again you get a question to answer which sometimes gives you a battle against these candy loving Zombies or some extra money or you can lose cards or cash. Once you know which answer to do though it loses some of its appeal. The money is spent on getting additional playing cards. Or Zombie defeating cards. Sometimes a sticker comes up which you collect and once they have all been collected you get extra cash. I did enjoy it and look forward to the next one. It certainly was a vast improvement of the first Zombies game. However there is plenty more room for development. Also I did like the fact that the trickier zombie zapping candy rounds you could win on a bye and thus carry on in the game. I loved the fact there were 100 levels as well. All in all a fun game to play.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect! I'm not usually into solitaire games but I couldn't pass up a zombie game. Too funny! Thought is required to get through the levels and that's a welcome thing. My only beef is that the "Menu" button onscreen covers up one of the cards numbers, meaning I have to guess what that one is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Entertaining! I've never played the first Zombie Solitaire and have only purchased two solitaire games over the years, don't normally find that genre a whole lot of fun. A good one makes a nice change of pace every once in a while so I thought I'd give this one a try based on the reviews so far. I'm glad I did. I had fun playing the demo, found it more challenging than the other solitaire games I've tried and was pleasantly surprised to find the M3 boards included aren't just super easy, time fillers. I really enjoyed playing those, too and found it very challenging to get more than one star. The couple of HO scenes I encountered in the demo were short and easy but broke up the solitaire play which kept that from getting boring. Since I'm not a big fan of solitaire games, I'll be buying this one with a coupon or during a two for one sale. If you love to play solitaire games, I highly recommend this one. It's definitely more fun than the usual, not just one easy solitaire hand after another.
