Customer Reviews
World Theatres Griddlers is rated 1.8 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from OMG give us a puzzle we can solve. I really wanted to like this game. I usually like Griddlers games. This one is impossible to win by logic. I had about 9000 coins saved up by level 63. I have spent it all buying hints to solve this level and failed. You need many many hints. If I want to try again I have to go back and play previous level to save up how many?? 20,000 coins to finish the level. There is no moving on. Just too much work. If I lived on a planet and this game was the only entertainment available I would do it. If there is no trick available I am done. Rat spit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from More of the Same The music that played throughout the game was boring, but I turn it down so it's barely audible, then it doesn't bother too much. Some of the colours are too much alike - too close in shade, that it can be difficult to see the difference and tell where you have already filled in the squares, and some of the colours are so pale you can't tell if the square is filled in or not. The puzzles with just 3 or 4 colours are okay, but once you get more than 4 colours the puzzles are soooo easy they don't mean anything. Puzzles are supposed to be just that - puzzles, which are supposed to make you think, exercise the brain, stop things from being so boring. This is one of those puzzle games that is a good one for the novice player (or child) to play so they can get used to the genre, but would be too boring for intermediate or expert.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good game if you are able to see what you're doing Game works fine, and is the nowadays usual multicolored nonograms game. You have boosters that you can even implement with the coins you collect for solving grids. Open more tiles, make more errors and so on. I found it impossible to play this game, that I would otherwise like, because of the awful appearance of the grids. Colors of the tiles are sometimes very similar to each other or to the background, making almost impossible to make out the pic you are trying to compose. Unused tiles are literally 'crossed out' by mean of a very conspicuous grey cross, that only adds to the chaos of the grid, numbers are instead crossed out with a very thin line, so it is very difficult to spot what you still have to find and what has already been found. Also, most grids are not strictly logical, and you have to guess or to rely on helps to solve them. I have no particular recomendation, the game in itself is ok, but try the trial before you play, to see if you enjoy the layout better than I did.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flawed I concur with other reviewers who have commented that this is supposed to be a logic puzzle. If you have to guess, it's just a game of chance. Also, the clicking sound when you turn over a correct square is annoying, because it's what you would typically hear when you make errors. Very disappointing. I deleted it with 21 minutes of free game time remaining.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lots to be desired The game makes you guess instead of following logic steps to complete. Quality and design leave a lot to be desired. Developers should look at Fantasy Mosaic and learn.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A logic driven game genre minus the logic part I tried to ignore the handdrawn, child-like X that indicated an unused square, but it was just too distracting for me. Worse than that, although these griddlers are logic-driven, this developer decided to chuck that idea and have us 'guess' at solving the puzzles. Seriously? The poorly drawn graphics and someone's attempt at music didn't help either. It's just a bad, amateur product that I would never pay for. In fact, you'd have to pay ME to play it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I should trust the reviews I know better. When the reviews are awful and I try the game anyway I never like it. That is the case with this really bad game. The music has to be turned off or so low you barely hear it. The color quality is awful, you can't tell the difference between the colors. Logic is no part of this game it is purely guess work. I made it to level 15 before I couldn't stand it anymore. And the size of the grids change as well. I rarely say the H word in a review but I really hated this game.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO BE A DUD WHEN THE DIRECTIONS SAID "GUESS AND FILL UP COLORED SQUARES" Mosaic games are SUPPOSED to be puzzles that you solve using logic period! I knew right away that I wasn't going to like this game when the tutorial directions told me to fill up the squares by guessing! Against my better judgement, I decided to continue, and it only got worse. The colors for the most part are unappealing and the various sized grids create pictures that are not only flat in appearance, but most are unrecognizable, there's not even a title of the picture afterwards, so I can say "oh now I get it!" Picture in your mind what it would look like if you drew a grid on a whiteboard and used a few sharpies to color in some of the cells, and then marked out the remaining cells with a huge X, cause that's what it looks like. Calopsitta is spot on with the assessment that the giant X's are distracting, and the colors blend in too much with the background. I have a habit of using my cursor as a pointer to count cells, and this just made the chaos worse, because the second the cursor scans over a cell, that cell appears to fill in with the current color. It isn't permanent until you left click on the cell, but it makes it confusing because your brain sees a filled in tile, but that's just a habit I have, and I'm not sure if other griddler's use the cursor to count tiles?? For the most part, the mosaics can be solved using logic, but there were a couple of them that left me with no other choice but to either use a Power-up tool, or guess, which is very taboo in the Mosaic realm! There are 18 available Trophies to earn, which are referred to as souvenirs for some odd reason. There are 12 rooms available, and 10 levels within the rooms, and you can replay the levels if you make a mistake, which will deduct a star from your score. Some of the correctly filled in cells will give you Coins that can be used in the Shop to purchase hint variations. The Magic of Light bonus opens up an area of 5 squares, 9 squares when upgraded. the Strength of Rose (btw spelled strengh) opens up 1 chosen square, 2 chosen squares when upgraded. The Power of Music opens 1 random square, 2 random squares when upgraded. You can also buy a Mistake feature that allows you to make up to 4 mistakes without losing, or up to 5 mistakes when upgraded. (which tells me there's going to be a whole lot of guessing coming down the pike) The other Mosaic game offered today was far superior to this game, I recommend you try that one and don't waste your time or energy on this one!
