The Secret Order: Bloodline is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from STUNNING COMBO OF NATURAL WORLD AND SCIENCE! Available at BFG since 2017. Review based on completed game. What a wonderfully relaxing and absorbing game! The whole game has a serious tone as opposed to a silly, cartoonish vibe. Don't base this game on the first chapter. You'll be taken to multiple locations with great graphics and scenes: watery havens in warmer climates, jungle wilderness, underwater (my fav!), caves and labs. You'll also interact with a variety of weird and wonderful tech! The sound side of this game has had a lot of thought put into it. Actions and scenes have appropriate sounds which immerse you further into the game. At some stage, you will get helpers, but they're not cartoon-cutesy. There's a monkey and baby jaguar. I really enjoyed every minute and in fact when I found myself beginning to rush, I took a break and saved it for later, so I would enjoy it more. Most HOPS were fun and nice to look at. Puzzles were of all sorts and all levels. Character were done very well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SARAH PENNINGTON RETURNS IN THE SECRET ORDER 6: BLOODLINE! The Journey continues as you are cast once again in the role of Sarah Pennington with a mission to locate the "Flower of Life" a flower which can cure all known diseases. As a member of the Secret Order founded by your father, you must travel to the Amazon and locate the cure-all flower, as well as your mother. She's been kidnapped by the Dragon Clan; a ruthless group who have the "Flower of Life" and an evil agenda. Will you be able to rescue your mother and save the "Flower of Life?" Time is running out fast (literally your curser is a timer) and it's up to you, Sarah to save the day! This is another great adventure in the popular series. While there is nothing cutting-edge about the storyline, it's worth mentioning that the plot does keep you completely interested throughout the entire game. I love The Secret Order game series! Each scene is still filled with intricate details and vibrant colors, but somehow the overall aesthetic of the graphics is somewhat cartoonish. I thought the sound effects and graphics were beautifully executed, but somewhat substandard to previous editions. In my subjective opinion, the gameplay is the game’s saving grace. For a game with such a cliché plot, the gameplay is surprisingly complex. Many objectives in the adventure portion of the game require several steps to complete; the challenge level is high and the entertainment value is definitely plenty. The hidden object scenes are definitely imaginative. Most of the puzzles are creative and fun – and the variety is something I certainly appreciated. This action mystery is a great addition to it's predecessors and one may choose to play each game in the order released. I highly recommend this unique series by release date. Cheers! •The Secret Order : New Horizon (December 2011) •The Secret Order : Masked Intent (March 2013) •The Secret Order : Ancient Times (April 2014) •The Secret Order : Beyond Time (March 2015) •The Secret Order : The Buried Kingdom (May 2016) •The Secret Order : Bloodline (June 2017)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun game I haven't played the first game of this series, so I wasn't familiar with the bad guy but it was still an interesting game. It has some nice puzzles and has an earthy Aztec feel. I would recommend the standard version to friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Flower of Life Interesting game with many challenges. Once again Sarah is called upon an adventure. You are assisted by a cub and a monkey. Good graphics. There is some back and forth but overall the game progress nicely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from FANTASTICAL FLOWER= FANTASTICAL GAME I beta tested this game several months ago, and I couldn't wait for it to be released. I own every game in this series, and it's one of those games that, although it isn't necessary, it's very helpful, to start at the beginning (New Horizon/Standard Edition only) to get the big picture. The Secret Order is The Order of The Griffin, an order dedicated to ridding the world of evil, which usually centers around the nefarious Dragon Clan, and its leader, Quiron. The only feature I'm disappointed in, is the fact that the famous Royal Griffin, no longer exists. The one and only feature that set this game apart from all other games and made it unique, was that Sarah Pennington traveled through time aboard this mighty ship, and now its gone, gone, gone! I think this series is still relevant, but has lost some appeal because of the disappearance. I always buy the CE version, because I enjoy the morphs and collectibles, so here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version to buy, if any: Sarah Pennington is a modern day Time Traveler with The Order of the Griffin, a secret organization her father founded. Her mother joined the Order to protect the helpless, and volunteered her medical services in the Amazon basin, her mission....sabotage! The Order was created to thwart the nefarious deeds of its nemesis, The Dragon Clan. Sarah's mother has been searching the Amazon for a flower of miracles, a flower that if possessed by the wrong person, could become a deadly flower! Mom has been searching for THE Flower of Life, a flower that cures ALL illness! Looks like Sarah is back on the job, because the Dragon Clan has kidnapped mom, claiming that they will return her unharmed in exchange for the flower of life. We're about to find out what will happen if the Flower of Life falls into the wrong hands! Hold on to your computer chair folks, this is going to be an amazing Amazon adventure! The graphics are stunning, and I loved every second of this game, the sights the sounds, and the beautiful Amazon wildlife. I didn't hesitate to purchase the Collector's Edition version, for the abundance of Collectible Animals, Hydroplane Posters and all those Morphing Amazon Critters. Eventually you will take possession of a Cube artifact which will give you 3 special powers after playing a mini game. A small monkey takes a liking to you, and he will assist you when you need something that's too high to reach, but he's fairly realistic and unobtrusive, in my opinion, he's not annoying in any way. Where has The Secret Order been hiding lately? (apparently the Amazon) This series is fantastic, but it's hard to keep up with the storyline when they take so long in between releases, New Horizon was released in December of 2011, then we waited for 2 years before Masked Intent was released March 2013. Ancient Times followed in it's footstep a year later in April of 2014, Beyond Time the following year March 2015, and last game was released in May of 2016, The Buried Kingdom. I guess all that waiting has paid off, because they took the time to get it right! The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly Silhouetted Shape finds, some are the Progressive Interactive ones, but there are also the standard Listed item finds, and one scene where you are tasked with finding items and following instructions that mom gives you. If you're not into HOP's, there is a Pair Matching game to play instead. The Mini Games are plentiful, and none of them seem too difficult to solve. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Follow ingredient clues, mix to achieve the correct color, then use a 5 oz. and 3 oz. beaker to achieve the correct amounts of each color. 2) To use the cube's power. move the lens around the scene to reveal and select each symbol shown on the lens frame to reveal hidden places. 3) Recreate the colored symbols from the paper by using the colored wires to connect two different shapes that when combined will form the correct symbols. 4) Escape the burning plane by interacting with the scene. 5) Enter the correct combination by first solving the match equations and applying those color coded sums. 6) Put the discs into their correct places by swapping tiles. 7) Find the object that matches the keywords in a story and then place those items correctly. The Collector's Edition has 7 Collectible Hydroplane Poster Magazines by Dale Kingsley, 7 Collectible Parrot statues, 7 Collectible Alligators statues, 7 Collectible Panthers statues, 7 Collectible Chameleon statues, 24 Achievements to earn (12 skill based-12 story based), 20 Morphing Objects to discover, replayable Mini Games and Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Wallpapers, 9 Music Soundtracks, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure, enjoy!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Back and Forth Disappointing Graphics Overall: Too much running back and forth, lack of clarity in storyline and poor reasoning as far as direction, disappointing graphics that often distract from the game. The storyline started with some direction and then got sidetracked elsewhere in what seemed to just prolong the game. Hidden object games were grainy and made it difficult to see some objects. Mini games were more annoying than enjoyable for me. Maybe mini fans might like them, but even then graphics failed. One of my least enjoyable games in a long time, just wanted to get it over with, but it isn’t a short game. I finally just used the hint because no clue where to go and what to do anyway. As many have said in the past, to discover if you will like a game test it before you purchase it to make sure you will enjoy the content, graphics and various activities offered. Graphics: Frequently lacking in design and detail, hard to explain but seems amateurish vs. the finely detailed and well-designed graphics in many games. Seems like old design in my opinion. Sounds: Game appropriate. Music: Repetitious and annoying. Characters: More cartoonish than reality, a few are pretty well developed but others aren’t. Hints: Fast and a good thing because the game is more than confusing as why and where to go. Map: Didn’t use. HOG: Poor graphics made it difficult to determine objects so just click if you can’t find something. Some games were interactive and you had to guess where the other item was hidden, so clicking became a norm. Mini: Filled with all that I dislike, connect tubes, travel from one side to another, reverse pictures to complete. I just skipped them because they were more annoying than entertaining. Mini fans might enjoy them and there were more of them than hidden object games.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dissaponting I saw the fine reviews and what a disappointment. There is no logic to what is supposed to be done. I can't imagine going through without using constant hints. The puzzles are pretty good, but nothing I haven't seen in many other forms for a long time. The few HOP's are not bad, but also nothing special. All it all, it seems somehow crude and clumsy compared to many other games.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a keeper for me This has to be one of the worst games on Big Fish. Story line is weak and not well executed, characters are not drawn well and everything is just boring with the constant back and forth and illogical play. This one falls into the now common trait of most HO games put out these days in that all you do is run back and forth finding things to do other things to find thing and over and over and over. Not my cup of tea. Colors are washed out and most of the scenes are way too busy and not pleasant to the eye. If it wasn't for the hint button, you would get nowhere and fast. I don't recommend this game at all despite the 4 and 5 star ratings. They must have played a different game than I did. Play the demo and decide for yourself but don't buy without playing the demo. Have fun?
