Maze: Nightmare Realm is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from What in the World is the Warning About?! This game did not need a warning about it being intense and graphic. And scary? Not in my opinion. It was way too easy, way too short, and had a lame story. The only thing going for it is the graphics, which are excellent. The male voiceovers are fairly good, but the female voice is monotonous and without much emotion. Just a three star game for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from DOGGIE MONSTERS You play Christine to rescue your nephew Timmy Wester. There is: * Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Slumber, Deep Sleep, Nightmare, Night Terror and Sleepwalk modes; * Journal; * Interactive map. The graphics are gorgeous with plenty of colour and everywhere is well defined and easy on the eye. The music is orchestral and just plays quietly in the background. There are a good variety of hidden object games, a couple of which are interactive straightforward and find special words in sentences. Items are clear to see and grab and each one only takes a couple of minutes to do. There is one morphing object per HOP which always has a good challenge. The mini-games are all very easy to do, so no frustration or boredom will set in. Most only take a few minutes at most to do. So, do you get the CE or SE? The bonus game is about an old nemesis from a previous game, there are 31 swirls to find, 10 Achievements (some with 3 stars), mega HOP, jigsaw puzzle plus all the other bling bling. I didn't think much of the acting in this game - I thought that Christine and Timmy were too relaxed considering they were in a nightmare. I expected more screaming and then running. The doggie monsters made me burst out laughing - give me zombies any time. Overall, a nice time filler but it lacked character and that feeling of having to find out what happens next. However, I did enjoy the HOPs and mini-games. Have a look and see what you think.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just No Boring. I quit before the demo was over and left Timmy to play with the monsters. There wasn't one minute of enjoyment for me. It was so awful, I would consider being forced to finish the demo to be a form of torture. Plus as another reviewer said, "with such a small download size, I doubt there is more than an hour and half of gameplay." It took like 60 seconds to download for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't Believe I Bought This Can't for the life of me understand the good reviews on this. The story's premise is ludicrous and only gets stupider the longer you play. The plot defied all logic and common sense--not even remotely believable. To base a whole game around a stupid childish dare and then label it "for mature audiences" is a sad joke. While it's probably not a good choice for young gamers, as a rational adult who totally enjoyed the Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst, this was an insult. I couldn't stand Timmy, and was honestly embarrassed that my virtual character was willing to drop everything and run for the sake of this irritating brat. Found myself rooting for the "villain" on this one; turning dogs into monsters was ironic when Dad looks like a serial killer. The game was short, and seemed just thrown together. I played the previous two Maze games and really enjoyed them, and just got an email invitation to test their next offering. My best advice: skip this one. Play the demo if you're really, desperately bored. Not interesting, not plausible...I've seen scarier things in an ad for adult diapers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Another Madhead Don't This game is so ridiculously cheesy, it's laughable. And then of course we get the warnings about "intended for mature audiences" which I have no idea what they are about. The graphics are just plain bad. The VO's have no "excitement," even in key scenes. Then to add the black icing on this burnt cake, we have a story that is absolutely ridiculous. I honestly don't know what has happened to these games the past few months. It's just plain depressing how bad they've become.
