Living Legends: Uninvited Guests is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT GAME!! What a beautiful love story this is! 4 Friends is at the top of my list for great devs. The story live keeps you so engrossed that you almost forget to look for the morphing objects and owls. The graphics are tremendous as are (to me) every aspect of this game. The mini games are fun and not too challenging but challenging enough to keep you thinking. I have already played the entire game, and I am going to replay it......that is how much I have liked this game. Try this one. It is a KEEPER.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BUT I HAVE AN INVITATION! I really like what I'm seeing from 4 Friends games lately, yesterday's game just cinced the deal in my eyes. My only wish is that they would release more games in the Living Legends series, because these are fantastic, slightly twisted fairy tale games withe georgous graphics and really entertaining game play features. If you haven't played Living Legends games before, you're in for a real treat! Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either is right for you: This ain't your mama's version of Beauty and the Beast! This is a Living Legends version of a hideous beast who took control of the castle, just hours before Leo Bonnet and Beatrix Chastel were to be wed. Uninvited guests are not welcome here, but Kate and Leo have stuck together since they were children, and Kate is always welcome at cousin Leo's castle. This invitation is either a curse or a cure, because nobody has left the castle alive, with the exception of Beatrix's father, who will stop at nothing to destroy the beast that holds his daughter captive! Uninvited Guests reminds me of the earlier games in this series, and in my opinion, 4 Friends Games has been listening to us reviewers complaining about how games are becoming cookie cutter versions,. I hope other devs will follow suit and go back to their roots, when games were epic! In the Collector's Edition version, each scene has a Morphing Object, and 2 hidden Owls, one that looks like a statue, the other is usually a drawing and a wee bit harder to spot. They have a pull out tab on the left of the screen that tells you how many of each are in that location, and as you collect the owls, they become real when you visit the collections section. You are joined by a friendly squirrel helper, sort of. He doesn't really stick by your side, but he is in just about every scene, and he does get tricked into helping you occasionally, but he's certainly not an annoying helper per se. The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly Interactive List finds, and that's alright by me, I kind of like old school in the HOP department. There are also Multiples of the same item finds, and Keyword in Sentences finds. I really enjoyed a couple of unusual one's where you had to find several predator's from different levels such as an eagle or hawk for the sky category, and I liked one where you had to find sketches of things that were alive. The graphics are clear and the objects for the most part are recognizable. The Mini Games tend to be on the easy side of the scale, but I don't mind how easy or hard a puzzle is, as long as it's fun to solve. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Restore each animal's face by swapping pie shaped sections. 2) Find matching roses by choosing 2 roses to reveal at a time. 3) Assemble the portraits by swapping the pieces between 2 portraits. Pieces must be of the same orientation. 4) Click on puzzle sections until the correct image fragment appears. 5) Aim the crossbow and shoot when the scope turns green. (this is never a fun puzzle, the target is just standing still, where's the skill in this type of game?) 6) Engage in a Battle Royale by clicking on 3 or more identical tiles to remove them. The goal is to strategically remove all tiles, matches can be made horizontally, vertically, diagonally, or all of those directions, removing tiles will cause the tiles above the match to fall down. Repeat this game 3 increasingly difficult times. 7) Arrange the animals on the board so that no animal type repeat either horizontally or vertically. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beauty and the Beast! Cousin Leo is getting married and you have been invited to the wedding. Fortunately for you, you arrive late and discover a beast has taken over the castle and you must somehow save Leo and his bride Beatrix. Your gimmick for the game is a magic mirror which requires soul stones to work which you must collect. The game has so much to offer including gorgeous graphics, nice voice acting and pleasant music. The HOs are the usual interactive list type and perhaps not all that interesting but there are other things which support this game to make it better than the fare we have been served lately. It flows seamlessly, doesn't give you a headache trying to figure out puzzles and is just an all around pleasurable experience. I am sure there are many who will not think it deserves 5 stars but I do, simply because I enjoyed a game that is not so challenging as to be drudgery. The story may be somewhat trite but the game is light-hearted without the gloomy evil villain trying to take over the world. As usual take it for a test drive first, kick the tires and see if its a buy for you

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Greatness fades slowly but surely 10 minutes into the demo, I HAD to have this game. The visuals were in a word stunning. Unlike many of my other 100 plus games. When I finish, this baby is gonna get a 5 star rating from the Bubba. So we played and played and when the same old began to appear (create a potion…not once but twice, feed the animals, oil the rusty metal part, a slide projector in a fantasy game?, heat something in the fireplace, well you get my drift. And the puzzles? Two match 3’s for filler and a lot of either easy or convoluted ones. Also the storyline became a little disjointed as the game progressed. Not to mention the sudden and predictable ending. Now here’s the thing. Since sooo many games have run out of game play ideas and have become cookie cutter, I tend to roam around and enjoy the scenery because the actions are so predictable. And this is a GREAT place to roam through. Splendid graphics, good voice acting and plenty of atmosphere. So with that in mind I give this a positive rating. Take the journey and enjoy the scenery. And you may like the story too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful game! I really enjoyed this game. It was loosely based on Beauty and the Beast without being a rip off of the actual story. I loved it! The game itself was very beautiful with lovely music. I really enjoyed all of the hidden object scenes and puzzles. I didn't give it 5 stars for one reason, the game was easy, really easy and that's saying something because I tend to like an easy to follow game and storyline but even I felt this was a bit too easy. There were places that this could have been made harder which would have enhanced the fun. All and all a very beautiful and enjoyable game! This series keeps getting better and better. Hope to see a lot more games from this developer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from O.k. Visuals were beautiful, story was good, however, the game was pretty short. After purchasing it I finished it in a few sittings (30-45 min in length each). I wish the ending scenes would have a more lengthy and satisfying conclusion. These games usually end so abruptly, which I have never liked. There's no significant climax/visual reward for completing the game.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Game for Children Based on Beauty and the Beast you are guest at wedding of cousin but a beast has taken over and groom is missing. You can work out the rest. Puzzles are the usual fair and painfully easy. All the usual suspects are present, make a duster, glue stuff together, make potion, rusty stuff that needs oil, endless broken locks and handles that need multiple parts to collect. Makes you look for codes for puzzles that are so easy you can just guess the answer. No logic to any of the game play. You have to follow someone who has just gone through a door but it is locked from the outside. Twice. I assume it is for little children rather than adults and what could have been a charming adventure is reduced to kindergarten story time. Predictable, boring and insult to intelligence. Avoid.
