Living Legends: Uninvited Guests is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thrilling romantic story A really beautiful, well made, satisfying game. I am so glad I got the collector's edition too. The extras are great and include screen savers as well as the enjoyable things that we are expect from an attentive developer. Mini games and HOP's are attractive and interesting. The graphics are very good and atmospheric and there are some really fine animations. The musical score is haunting. The story is dramatic and touching. I felt truly involved. I think I will play this through again some time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A BEAUTIFUL ROMANTIC/FANTASY GAME In another spin on the Beauty and the Beast theme comes Living Legends 6: Uninvited Guest. I am very fond of the Living Legends series and found the last game just as excellent as the first. This newest offering so far holds up to that same standard. Also I am an incurable romantic at heart and so I love this particular game. You play the game as Kate who hasn’t seen your cousin Leo since childhood. You have received an invitation to his wedding and it presents a wonderful chance to renew your childhood friendship so you undertake the journey to his castle. Of course being a HOPA game your trip is beset by little things that inevitably make you late, which in this case is good. As you arrive for the wedding the gate to the castle is blocked and you find out that something horrible has befallen the castle and now you must use your wits to save your cousin Leo. I find only one technical issue in the game and it is something that also occurred in another game by this same developer – Immortal Love the Price of a Miracle. There is a quick, bright flash that seems to occur when there is a transition within the same scene such as entering the tent in this one. I only mention it because it is a bit annoying. That being said, the graphics are gorgeous as they create a fantasy world. Although the castle has been besieged and is damaged at least the scenes are not dreary brown and black. The artists have still used a great deal of color in creating Leo’s castle. Your tools include an interactive map that allows quick travel between scenes and locations. You also have a Magic Mirror but of course some might think of it as a gimmick because you will periodically need to find Soul Stones to feed it to receive its help. The game has 5 chapters plus the bonus chapter and I am finding each chapter longer than normal. There is a lot to do and a lot of things to discover. Of course looking for those collectibles and morphs are keeping me busy and slowing me down a bit. The HOPS are nothing new but I still like them because most are the list type that to this day remains my favorite type of HOPS. The scenes in this game are very lovely with some touches of creativity and a bit of interaction. Thankfully, they are not all so interactive that I want to rip my eyelashes off. The puzzles are not difficult and I am enjoying each one that I come across. Sometimes having puzzles that don’t fry my brain is a good thing. There are times when I really enjoy the challenge of some more difficult puzzles but the nature of this game seems more fitting for easier puzzles. As is always the case, I have no doubt that there will be one or two more difficult puzzles later in the game but for now I am happy. Not everyone likes easy or slightly challenging puzzles but many gamers who dislike puzzles will most likely enjoy this game. The CE version of the game includes all of the extras I would want in a CE with 68 collectible owls and 34 morphing objects to find. Some of the collectibles are easy to spot but others are well-concealed and it takes a bit of hunting to find them. For those of you who are interested there are achievements to earn as well. The other extras include the standards such as Wallpapers, Concept Art, Screen Savers, Movies, Music a Bonus Chapter and the Strategy Guide. This developer has also included the ability to replay Mini-games and HOPS, which is something that not all developers include so, IMHO, this is a great CE package. Living Legends 6 Uninvited Guest is a beautiful game and I have been enjoying each moment that I have played. I highly recommend this game if you want an excellent fantasy/romantic type game to play. There have been some times where I didn’t know what to do but that was because I wasn’t looking everywhere and even checking back into my inventory. So if you decide this game is for you don’t leave any stone unturned or book unopened as the case may be. As always, I recommend that you try the demo to see if this will be a game you enjoy. Happy gaming!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a truly beautiful game What a lovely experience it was to play this game. From the first scene to bonus chapter it did not disappoint. Beautiful illustrations, creating some scenes so interesting, that I didn't want to leave them. Interesting puzzles, easy to navigate and know if you have found bonus items. Engaging, even engrossing but all-in-all just a beautiful ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT GAME!! What a beautiful love story this is! 4 Friends is at the top of my list for great devs. The story live keeps you so engrossed that you almost forget to look for the morphing objects and owls. The graphics are tremendous as are (to me) every aspect of this game. The mini games are fun and not too challenging but challenging enough to keep you thinking. I have already played the entire game, and I am going to replay it......that is how much I have liked this game. Try this one. It is a KEEPER.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BUT I HAVE AN INVITATION! I really like what I'm seeing from 4 Friends games lately, yesterday's game just cinced the deal in my eyes. My only wish is that they would release more games in the Living Legends series, because these are fantastic, slightly twisted fairy tale games withe georgous graphics and really entertaining game play features. If you haven't played Living Legends games before, you're in for a real treat! Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either is right for you: This ain't your mama's version of Beauty and the Beast! This is a Living Legends version of a hideous beast who took control of the castle, just hours before Leo Bonnet and Beatrix Chastel were to be wed. Uninvited guests are not welcome here, but Kate and Leo have stuck together since they were children, and Kate is always welcome at cousin Leo's castle. This invitation is either a curse or a cure, because nobody has left the castle alive, with the exception of Beatrix's father, who will stop at nothing to destroy the beast that holds his daughter captive! Uninvited Guests reminds me of the earlier games in this series, and in my opinion, 4 Friends Games has been listening to us reviewers complaining about how games are becoming cookie cutter versions,. I hope other devs will follow suit and go back to their roots, when games were epic! In the Collector's Edition version, each scene has a Morphing Object, and 2 hidden Owls, one that looks like a statue, the other is usually a drawing and a wee bit harder to spot. They have a pull out tab on the left of the screen that tells you how many of each are in that location, and as you collect the owls, they become real when you visit the collections section. You are joined by a friendly squirrel helper, sort of. He doesn't really stick by your side, but he is in just about every scene, and he does get tricked into helping you occasionally, but he's certainly not an annoying helper per se. The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly Interactive List finds, and that's alright by me, I kind of like old school in the HOP department. There are also Multiples of the same item finds, and Keyword in Sentences finds. I really enjoyed a couple of unusual one's where you had to find several predator's from different levels such as an eagle or hawk for the sky category, and I liked one where you had to find sketches of things that were alive. The graphics are clear and the objects for the most part are recognizable. The Mini Games tend to be on the easy side of the scale, but I don't mind how easy or hard a puzzle is, as long as it's fun to solve. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Restore each animal's face by swapping pie shaped sections. 2) Find matching roses by choosing 2 roses to reveal at a time. 3) Assemble the portraits by swapping the pieces between 2 portraits. Pieces must be of the same orientation. 4) Click on puzzle sections until the correct image fragment appears. 5) Aim the crossbow and shoot when the scope turns green. (this is never a fun puzzle, the target is just standing still, where's the skill in this type of game?) 6) Engage in a Battle Royale by clicking on 3 or more identical tiles to remove them. The goal is to strategically remove all tiles, matches can be made horizontally, vertically, diagonally, or all of those directions, removing tiles will cause the tiles above the match to fall down. Repeat this game 3 increasingly difficult times. 7) Arrange the animals on the board so that no animal type repeat either horizontally or vertically. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beauty and the Beast! Cousin Leo is getting married and you have been invited to the wedding. Fortunately for you, you arrive late and discover a beast has taken over the castle and you must somehow save Leo and his bride Beatrix. Your gimmick for the game is a magic mirror which requires soul stones to work which you must collect. The game has so much to offer including gorgeous graphics, nice voice acting and pleasant music. The HOs are the usual interactive list type and perhaps not all that interesting but there are other things which support this game to make it better than the fare we have been served lately. It flows seamlessly, doesn't give you a headache trying to figure out puzzles and is just an all around pleasurable experience. I am sure there are many who will not think it deserves 5 stars but I do, simply because I enjoyed a game that is not so challenging as to be drudgery. The story may be somewhat trite but the game is light-hearted without the gloomy evil villain trying to take over the world. As usual take it for a test drive first, kick the tires and see if its a buy for you

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful game! I really enjoyed this game. It was loosely based on Beauty and the Beast without being a rip off of the actual story. I loved it! The game itself was very beautiful with lovely music. I really enjoyed all of the hidden object scenes and puzzles. I didn't give it 5 stars for one reason, the game was easy, really easy and that's saying something because I tend to like an easy to follow game and storyline but even I felt this was a bit too easy. There were places that this could have been made harder which would have enhanced the fun. All and all a very beautiful and enjoyable game! This series keeps getting better and better. Hope to see a lot more games from this developer.
