God of Light is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from More like this, please! Don't be fooled by the first 20 or so levels of this, that's just the tutorial portion to show you the game mechanics. It gets PLENTY hard shortly thereafter. At the end of the hour trial, I had just finished the first screen of 25 levels. After another hour or so I'm nearly through the 2nd, and am completely hooked on the game. It looks like there are a total of 6 worlds, each consisting of 25 levels, so at the end of the trial you're about 1/6 of the way through the game. Its a beautiful puzzler with everything done just about perfectly. Great break from the usual fare found on here, there actually isn't much not to like if you're into puzzle/physics games. Thumbs up from here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New To This Genre - Love This Game I rarely buy "physics" games because I'm just not good at them. I found this game to be more interesting, more visually attractive, and challenging but not impossible. I admit that I had to find screenshots online to solve some of the levels, and even a video solution on a few. The fact that I stuck to it instead of giving up is a testament to how much fun this game is. I've been playing it for several hours every day since I bought it. Each time I finish the entire game, I play it all over again. It is highly addictive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great puzzle game! I don't post many reviews, but I felt that the score on here wasn't representative of the game, so I thought I'd add my voice. If you only play this for 10-15 mins, you're just seeing the tutorial. Yes, it's easy and boring. It's showing the mechanics of the game. Once you get past the first dozen or so levels, that's when it starts to get interesting (and challenging). If you love puzzle games that depend on using your brain and not reflexes or luck, then give it a try!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Persevere! The first few levels may have you thinking "this is a doddle", but be prepared for the game to get harder and harder, with more elements to incorporate into your puzzle solving. It might seem odd to comment on the graphics, bearing in mind you play most of this game in the dark, but when you do get a glimpse of the world, it is beautiful. And the music is calming and gentle. The whole thing has a similar feel to "Leaves" about it - quite dreamy and otherworldly. I found myself totally engrossed, and I raced for the "buy it now" button when my trial had ended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You'll need your thinker's cap on this one These "brain teaser" games are too few and far between, so this is refreshing, especially when it's well executed like this one is. Some games are simple in concept but stimulate your grey cells (like the 'Sokoban' game from decades ago.) The tutorial is excellent and simple to understand/execute: you have a source of light (click), and the light beam must reach a destination going thru as many "stars" as possible (up to 3). To achieve this, there are objects that impact the path of the light beam like mirrors/reflectors, splitters and combiners. As you progress thru the levels, you learn to rotate and/or move those objects to get the beam of light from its source to its target. You also have a hint system which consists of a firefly, that you can recharge by temporarily having the beam of light shine on it. Graphics are great, mechanics are simple, and mouse clicking/rotating does NOT require speed. The levels start very easy but become more complicated gradually as new "features" are introduced (and they are well explained.) The only thing I would wish for is perhaps a "cheat snapshot" of the final result for each level (think "strategy guide" here...) Try it out: you'll know quickly if the concept appeals to you; don't assume it's a child's game because of the graphics; you'll spend more time on a level starting around level 20 of the first world (there are 25 levels in each of the 6 worlds), so this will entertain for a while, especially if you explore each level to recharge your firefly! Congrats and thanks to the devs for this game: it's definitely a buy for me!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dull The graphics and music were nice but the game is VERY repetitive and dull. After the first few levels you quickly start wishing for some variety.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NORMALLY I LIKE PHYSICS BASED GAMES BUT... I usually enjoy playing physic's based games, but after about 12 levels or so it just became boring. It's a beautiful game though with beautiful graphics. Basically, you click on Sunny, the glowing Orb to wake him up. He shines a beam of light through the darkness, and you rotate him around using Mirrors to reflect the beam of light through all 3 Life Source tiles until the beam reaches the Light Source at the end. Some Mirrors can be rotated, some can't. You will lose a star for each Life Source not collected, but the levels can be replayed. As you progress, creatures will help you solve trickier levels such as Fireflies, and they will recharge if you find one in a level. Hopefully, if you like this type of physics-based game, you'll endure it longer than I did, but it just became repetitive for my personal tastes.
