Royal Detective: The Princess Returns is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tedious at best My title says it all! Although I usually prefer mini-games to hidden object scenes, these were overwhelming in their frequency, and the majority were not much fun. Too often they seemed merely time-consuming. The plot line and dialog were underwhelming. Some may enjoy this game -- I did not, and I have no idea why I bothered to finish it. I cannot recommend this game. Try before you buy!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me Why didn't they just title this game "Plethora of Gratuitous Puzzles" and be done with it? Honestly, I could count the seconds off between puzzles... 10, 9, 8... you get the picture. Er, I mean puzzle. In the last "Princess" game, she was a very, very bad girl. Now she's a real sweetie named Princess who's in love with a guy named Prince. Apparently, she was just misunderstood. Ah, well. If you love puzzles, you're going to love this game. Other than that, I guess there's not much wrong with it. It's just not for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from So Dissapointed I tried the demo, and thought maybe this might not be so bad, as it had a good couple of puzzles. Well, I'm a puzzle lover, and I have yet to find a game that has puzzles as good as the first Ravenhearst games. They were so creepy and creative! As far as I'm concerned, creating a really good game is, and should be like a piece of art that you worked really hard on, and be really proud to present. Why would you think that a game with a girl called Princess and a boy called Prince, who are in love and have to be rescued in the end would be an original creative production? Then top it off with the now familiar useless mundane tasks. Other people call them the zipper pull tasks. Now the zipper pull is replaced with hunting down 2 pieces of scissors or pliers, and then the screw to attach it. Then you have to find oil, cuz of course they are rusty. And don't just have this mundane task in the game once, but numerous times, and why after you have the tool, you wouldn't just keep it, as you know you will again have something to cut in a few minutes. I was also so disappointed with puzzles of the game. There were a couple that kind of held my interest, but then the rest were just so easy or annoying, I was so tempted to just skip them, but I just don't like skipping puzzles. What happened to the multi-layered puzzles that Elephant Games use to put in their games. I haven't seen these in any new games. Come on....are the game makers just getting lazy or maybe losing all their best people to other areas of the tech world. If this is the case, then tell me why we should purchase any new games, when they are all exactly the same. It has been awhile since a new game has really kept my interest through out the entire game.
