League of Light: The Game is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from wonderful game this is one of the best games it is so interesting so much fun with the little guy that is so cute to help you along the way. I love this for a standard it plays like a collectors edition. I hope you like it as much as I do. I seldom submit a review but this one deserves it,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fun game Smooth flowing game with excellent voice overs, graphics and animations. Always hard to come up with new storylines, but this one worked well even though you may have played games like it. Interesting puzzles but if you pick "custom", you can set the timer to 1 second and skip most of them like I did...I'm not a puzzle person. HOS were unique and different enough so it didn't rank in there with same-o, same-o. LONG game and the storyline did get confusing for me occasionally. Although the game was smooth flowing, I wouldn't say it was easy. It took some thought and had some interesting ways of solving things. You will like this game and you can opt for more difficult levels. Since at the beginning it appears you can chose different "assignments", no matter what you chose, its the same story (game) but may have a different challenge level...I tried to see if they were different by changing my name.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my new Favorite I have all these games I like most of the League of Light games. I love the puzzles in this one they are different and not so difficult you have to skip them only one or 2 made me crazy which is good in a game. this one is also different in that its not filled with intense paranormal imagery .its mostly about getting passed traps and getting out of the game you are trapped in .It moves along really well but you do have to think about your next move. its very refreshing from always mixing potions and doing magic, more of an adventure and a lot of fun

Rated 5 out of 5 by from At Last, An All Round Top Notch Game! I rarely review games because I would spend all my time picking the same holes. E.g. always a female lead character, always the same puzzles and HOPs, often too short or huriedly ended. Oh, and ALWAYS that annoying zipper pull! This game surprised me hugely. Superb story line, the ability to be a male character, twists and turns that kept me engaged. Good length of game. The little scarecrow fellah was not over used and added a bit of amusement. Even the ending is not rushed, although I wish it could have shown what happens to The Game after the last puzzle is completed (can't be more specific without adding spoilers). I enjoyed it so much that I can't help wondering whether I should have bough the CE instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun Fun Fun! This is a very fun adventure game packed full of puzzles! I liked the idea that some of the items not only could be used more then once but a lot of times for different purposes. Very clever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of My New Favorite Games This review is based upon completed play of the SE version of the game. Mariaglorum Games hit home run with League of Light: The Game. Without a doubt, the graphics are the best I have seen this year. Sound effects, voice overs, and music are spot-on. And I love the dry wit of The Detective. One of the reviewers mentioned the short story,"The Most Dangerous Game," and I certainly see some similarity but this game is its own story, with thoughtful twists and turns. The variety of HOPS and mini-games are superbly integrated with the story, with minimal back-and-forth, although at times I felt I was carrying quite a bit of inventory. It is the riddles that I enjoyed the most and they are sprinkled throughout the game in varying formats. They are not difficult but pull the player into the game. That's what I think any great story does. Plus there isn't any saving the world at the end of this game, which I appreciate. That is not part of its plot. If you are looking for a really different game that integrates HOPS and mini-games with creative hidden object scenes, give this one a try. It is definitely among the games I will play again. It has nuance, and that is rare in any story. Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Loved the Demo Very inventive hidden object scenes. In every game, I skip the puzzles, so all I can say is they looked to be inventive as well. In this game, you don't have to custom set a short skip time, because the skips are built in and immediate. Yes! Finally someone "got it!" You do get choose how long to refill the hints for. I found everything in the demo to be positive, and it's a definite buy for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ~~LEAGUE OF LIGHT 6 IS AN ENJOYABLE EDITION FOR AVID SLEUTHS.~~ In this sixth edition of the League of Light fans who are familiar with the series may be surprised by "The Game" and acknowledge the connection between this sequel and the previous editions, which is certainly not a bad thing considering the series’ four star track record. As the leading Detective and member of the League of Light your journey continues as you investigate a villainous organization known as "The Watchers". Every fifty years the Watchers create a deadly game where their can only be one survivor. A game that requires you to make difficult decisions among the other characters and will test your skills and abilities beyond belief! Will you save yourself or join forces with Julia (aka Fox) who's life is also in peril? Your goal is to ultimately discover the "Watchers" evil agenda and put a stop to this chaos once and for all! This was a "must buy" for me and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of gameplay in this newest edition of Mariaglorum's League of Light series. If you are a beginner or new to the series, this is a great introductory installment (even though this one may not be my personal favorite). I finished the main game in about five hours, and the bonus chapter in an hour. I recommend the game for players of every level and check out these earlier releases too. Cheers! Also in this Series... •League Of Light: Dark Omens •League of Light: Wicked Harvest •League of Light: Silent Mountain •League of Light: The Gatherer •League of Light: Edge of Justice •League of Light: The Game

Rated 4 out of 5 by from And the Light Shines On This is posted after playing the entire game. I found this game to be really fun and put together well. From the story, mechanics, and all the factors used in making a successful game joined together to give me an wonderful gaming experience. Graphics were excellent. Bright colors made it easy on the eyes. I loved that I could pick the voice of a male or female. Adds a lot when I don't have to put my heels on to play a game. Music and effects went along with the action in the scene. Voice overs were very well done. Really enjoyed the hidden objects and the majority of the mini games.Hidden objects were list and silhouettes with an interactive one thrown in occasionally. It was a nice mix. I normally don't like mini games, but with these the instructions were clear and the objective rather simple.. they were easy in other words. Right up my alley. The straw boy is here to help. I don't really mind him in that he does break whatever monotony may be happening. The interactive map was a necessity for me. There is a lot of jumping back and forth and the map shows where there are things to do and transports you. I also liked the custom setting. Hint and skip are set for the same time. From 1 second to eternity. I used the lowest setting. The story had me from the very beginning. It goes along with the other games in this series, but just enough difference that it kept me waiting for the next thing to happen. This is a great game. Give the demo a shot and see if it isn't to your liking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A GAME OF HONOR? This is a really good game, it's not as good as Wicked Harvest, but the storyline is interesting. I will say that I've had W10 compatibility issues with the last 2 new releases by this dev, but I liked the plot so much, that I used my replacement code to buy this game for my Mac. So I actually bought it twice, which says a lot! This is a puzzle-heavy game, sometimes they are back to back so if you're more of an HOP fan, you probably won't enjoy this game. Personally, I prefer the CE version of this game because I love collectibles, but I will admit that the extra's in this game are a little scarce, they don't even have re-playable mini-games or HOP's! Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either, is right for you: Would you like to play a game? Too bad detective, this is a game you have no choice to play if you want to get out alive! One minute you're preparing for a case, the next, you're trying to find a way to escape a labyrinth of locked doors, secret passages, hidden doorways, and clues. Someones watching you, but they have no intentions of helping you solve this riddle because it's their sick, twisted little game! This is their game of death, and they merely want to watch you lose everything for their own amusement, good luck, it's your move! Yes, we have a helper, no you can't opt to leave him behind, and yes he is that creepy little scarecrow with glowing eyes and a huge straw hat and overalls. He's no "Elf" but he isn't used that much so I'm okay with it. (Tom was an option in the last game) I enjoyed the creative riddle clues, not only within the HOP's and Mini-Games but to an extent, some of the task clues were shown as subtle riddles too. I have always loved searching for the Hidden Owls offered in League of Light CE versions, and although this game still includes the owls, there is only one per scene and the other games always offered two owls per scene, so what's up with that? (another case of Less Is NOT More!) The Hidden Object Scenes were decent. As you probably know, I'm not a fan of HOP's lately because the items are no longer hidden they just lay out in the open in a huge pile of junk, but these weren't bad. The one I found the most entertaining was finding objects on a bas-relief that matched the description of some very creative riddles! After the demo, there was a similar one with items on a stained-glass window that I really enjoyed too. There are no alternate games available, which personally I'd love the option of playing an extra bonus mini-game or jigsaw puzzle instead of a HOP. I'd also like to see the option of playing a HOP instead of the mini-games, that way fans of both genres would be happy. The Mini-Games are good, and some of them are also "Riddle" based which I thought was super cool! Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Press down all triangles, pressing 1 may affect others. 2) Rotate boards to recreate the correct image. 3) Turn the triangle eyes correctly according to the riddle given. 4) Use directional arrows to avoid obstacles along the path. The Collector's Edition version has 22 Wallpapers, 30 Concept Art pictures, 8 Music Soundtracks, 9 Achievements with 3 categories each (including the LOL famous achievement of answering questions about the game), 6 Collectible Character Figurines, a Fresco Puzzle to assemble, 24 Hidden Owls, 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy the game, they say it's to die for!
