Achromatic is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Infuriating and satisfying Let me say that, more and more, I am enjoying games that don't hold my hand through the gameplay. There are "tutorial" levels throughout the game that explain how new pieces work by solving the level. There was one piece where I had to go through a couple of levels before I realized how it really worked. I will play a couple of levels that are easier and then have a level or two that will stump me...for a while. At the time of this review, I'm at a level (38, if that matters to anyone) where I've tried a bunch of strategies and I can't figure it out at all - and I LOVE it! I know that once I figure it out, I'll wonder how I could have missed it. That's what's great about this game. It forces you to think around a problem. And no matter what, the music is nice and even if I don't finish a level, I like playing it for a while at the end of a work day :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beyond me I found the demo of this game fun and interesting. It is a breath of fresh air and a change of pace from the usual 5 game genres we see here. Sadly the difficulty level is a little too high for me and no where to go for help. It would be nice to have a skip button or partial score so that you could progress through the game. I sure with we could still have a forum to get help from other gamers. Sorry a no buy for me but... tune it up and maybe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Actual tutorial would have been nice Stopped at level 21, because I shouldn't have had to go online to discover that squares & circles acted differently. Also not a fan of no hint option.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from no help no forum I am stuck on a level and can go no farther. If there was help available, I would have given this a 5.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's different The object of each puzzle is to make all the objects the same color by drawing lines that begin and end with the same color, with one different color in between which will change to the end color. The visuals and calming music work well for this type of game. Puzzle complexity with different shapes come in gradually. So why no higher than a 3? First, I cannot find any text explaining the puzzles. I guess that it's designed for exploration. Do not assume anything. At first, I thought that all lines had to start with a circle. Nope! The "fun" designed into the game appears to be the a-ha! moments within it. The issue is that sometimes, it becomes a puzzle of trial and error. The larger the puzzle, the more errors. And the removal of the fun.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from BUILD A WALKTHROUGH AND THEY WILL COME!!!! If you are a problem-solving puzzle geek like I am, you will love this game! Yes, I did love this game and I would have given it 5-Stars IF there was a walkthrough available! This is a tough game that gets complicated fairly quickly and there's no option to skip a level so if you get stuck like I did, it's game over. This game was originally released a little over a year ago and there's still no walkthroughs available, but there are pages and pages of "I'm stuck on level __ and I need help" posts on the net! The goal is simple, change all the shapes the same color by dragging a line between shapes. Lines for colored circles can only go horizontally or vertically, where lines for colored squares can go around corners and even overlap, but you can only change one color at a time. For example, you can change the color of blue circles to red, by drawing a line from the first red circle through the blue circles, to the last red circle. (red dot-blue dot-red dot) it doesn't matter how many circles are in between the 1st & the last circle, but the colors in between have to be the same color (example: all blue) and the first and last circle has to be the same color as well (example: both red) You simply go through the steps to until all shapes are one single color, and of course, as you progress, more shapes and colors are added which have different abilities, and there's a color-blind mode that places shapes within the centers of each color. The tutorial is practically non-existant but that's part of the puzzle to solve, there's no wrong move or penalty, you just have to try different connections and combinations, the line connections are either accepted or nothing will happen. You can revert backward one move at a time, or reset the puzzle as often as you want. This is the same developer who created the unique Hex puzzle, and the music is as beautiful as it is relaxing. I just can't believe they chose not to offer a walkthrough guide or at least a hint system and/or the ability to skip a mind-boggling level if desired, otherwise, when you hit a brick wall, you just become frustrated and eventually give up!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A new kind of logic puzzle A good idea, but with zero instructions I'm puzzling as to why some moves are possible and other aren't. This is game for serious puzzlers - anyone else risks brain fever!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Walkthroughs now available so game too short The other reviews indicate this is an old game that was out on Mac here in July 2019. Since those reviews there are indeed walk throughs and by looking at these walkthroughs first I was able to complete 32 levels before my demo ran out and that is over half way through the game . There is no way how ever much I liked this game which I did am I going to buy this for probably an extra hours play even less. This could have been so much better if more thought had gone in to it and a much longer game provided

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Recycled Game!!! TGT in 2020 reviews from 2019!! Seriously?? Do you think we won't notice that the "NEW" game is actually an OLD game? Ugh. I gave it a shot anyway but for heaven's sake... it's just the same as a zillion mobile games out there... literally nothing new about it. Connect the dots to change the colors so they are the same. That's it. So easy. So boring. Yes levels can get challenging but not enough to justify paying for something you can play for free on your phone. ALSO... there are games that use this exact mechanic on mobile that include interesting storylines... this game doesn't even bother to do that. Cheesy music and simplistic dots and squares. No thanks.
