Secret City: The Sunken Kingdom Collector's Edition is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best game in awhile I really enjoyed playing this game. Graphics were beautiful and colorful. Story was really cool and kept me interested. It came with challenges which was nice and I could skip if I had to. All around one of the best games I've played in awhile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from secrets abound in this sunken city excellent game ..graphics brilliant, I looked at this game and thought ..oh no more monsters .but was pleasantly surprised yes they are there but not in your face , plenty of fun with puzzles the hidden objects great and easy to find, with the alternative of match 3 makes for a full game and plenty of entertainment. finding the morphs is not that easy, finding the pages not that easy but who wants a game that is so easy it is over in a minute, this is a game to entertain be entertained

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent game My only criticism is the developers didn't make it possible to go back once the bonus game had been played to find collectibles etc afterwards, other than that, brilliant. You have to stop one man, and along the way do HOS and puzzles, I have enjoyed this game as much as the others in the series. Great story line, and graphics, and sharp colours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Secret city the sunken Kingdom wow Great game! This game was absolutely enjoyable challenging and value the puzzles we're fun and for me a great exercise to keep my brain sharp the story kept me engaged throughout the villain made me want to keep playing so I could beat her and save the city there're many things to doing each level the hidden object windows we're entertaining and too of certain degree a challenge but the fact there were many things to do kept me engaged this is a game that I believe beginners would like to think would not be a overwhelming a game for them intermediates they will enjoy it immensely And experts will find those same challenges and enjoyment that I did for anybody who remembers the movie spinal tap I will use one of their gags I rate this at 11 you would be foolish not to buy this game for it is extremely enjoyable the developer has given us another great game I implore you to spend a few minutes and send them an email to tell them how much you enjoy it we all is gamers need to encourage these types of developers to keep producing these quality games that big fish will be proud to sell on their website please do buy this game you will not be disappointed Game on people

Rated 5 out of 5 by from enjoyable game I have been quite enjoying this game. I love when there's lots of collectibles to find. Mostly, I skip the puzzles, however, some of these I did because they were not overly difficult or complicated. Not finished the main game yet - graphics, music, etc. are excellent. Like the jump map & that I can click on it to see if there's any collectibles I've missed. Pleasant game for me - quite relaxing, actually, for me. I play to relax and enjoy - I don't want to be "stressed" when playing HOPA games (which are my favorite). Thumbs up for this game for me !! Thank you !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love The Story Love stories about mystical creatures. A brief description of the creatures who live in the Secret City is provided in the demo. The demo begins with Sakir, who is one of them, calling on his friend and master detective to investigate the murder of a Dwarven friend. The mysterious disappearance of Merfolk Kingdom which vanished 500 yrs ago is linked to his death. So off we go on a very interesting mission to a watery kingdom. I really don't want to give away much more because I think you should enjoy the fun along the way without knowing everything ahead of time. Our detective has been given TWO gadgets to help in his quest of solving this case: special glasses to see past the magic protection of The Secret City and a medallion that allows him to see the memories of anyone, even if they are dead. The game also includes morphing statuettes, diary pages and starfish. A handy pop-out tab keeps track of them for you. The map is different and works very well. Variety of game modes and mini games offer choice of easy or hard. The HOPs and games were excellent and challenging. I enjoyed them a great deal, some were new to me. Great quality, IMO. There is an alternative Match 3 with the HOPs. The graphics were very clear and colorful, not weird colors that are so unpopular in a lot of today's games. The characters had excellent voices with realistic expression. I loved the looks of them all but the female villain looked quite cartoonish to my eye. Inventory filled quickly but items used soon enough, so not bogged down with lots of stuff. The tasks were not complicated or tedious. The game ran very smoothly, none of those awful black screen delays between scenes, it moved along at a good pace. Because of the theme of this game, I purchased it and doubt I will have any regrets. I think it can be enjoyed by any age player, especially with the game modes offered. This was a good demo, it made my decision to purchase an easy one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SECRET CITY IS BACK WITH AN EXCITING ADVENTURE INTO THE MERFOLK REALM The Secret City is a magical place where mystical and powerful beings live hidden alongside the human race. Many years ago Tenebris, the princess of the Merfolk, killed her father to take over the Merfolk kingdom. The ambitious princess had her sights set on the Secret City as well since she wanted to become the supreme ruler of all mystical beings. Fortunately the revolt was stopped and after her generals were killed Tenebris and the Merfolk Kingdom disappeared. Now the petrified body of a renowned Dwarven explorer has washed up on the shoreline and your friend Sakir needs your help. Sakir believes that the death of Bolrekin Nibley is somehow related to the Merfolk Kingdom and it could mean bad news for the Secret City. Will you and Sakir be able to solve the case and find out what this means for the future of the Secret City. I loved the first game in this new series “London Calling” that was released last year and since that time I’ve been waiting for the next game to appear and today my wait is over. I played the beta for the game a few months ago and I knew it would be a game that I would love. The Sunken Kingdom is everything I thought it would be and more. The only issue for me is that there are far more puzzles than HOP scenes in the game. The HOPS in the game are very well-crafted but they are outnumbered by puzzles. Even though I enjoy HOPS more than I do puzzles, the puzzles in this game are entertaining and fun to solve. Thankfully there are some puzzles that rely on using one’s brain rather than simply twist this and then twist that to solve. Another critique of the game is the offering of a pseudo Custom game setting. If a developer is going to offer a Custom setting it implies that the gamer can choose to set the game up the way they want to play. In recent games the developer sets the lower end of the time settings for skipping puzzles or getting hints. Sometimes it might be 10 seconds or even 15 seconds but I believe that the gamer should be able to change that to fit their needs. I tend to be a bit impatient and when I want or need a hint I don’t want to hang around and wait. Please developers allow us to select that bottom range for ourselves. I realize it is a time-stretcher when we must wait to skip a puzzle but why even offer a Custom setting when we cannot set the hint and skip times? Overall The Sunken Kingdom is an excellent game with a well laid out storyline. I love the premise of having a hidden city within London that only a few can see or find. Kudos to BFG and the developer for coming up with this interesting new idea. I have enjoyed playing the game well into the wee hours of the morning and find it to be one of the best games that I have played recently. It was refreshing to see a mystery game that didn’t have some evil monster hiding in a decrepit and dark haunted house. As always, please try the demo to see if Secret City The Sunken Kingdom is a game that you will enjoy as much as me. Happy gaming!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent try, some regrettable errors... I originally played this game as a sneak peek back in November and I think my assessment is pretty much the same. Had to double click on items in the inventory box in bonus game repeatedly. Very annoying. I got all but 5 of the pages, and found all the statues and stars. I still think this needs more action on land and interaction with humans – it deteriorated into the usual evil guy/gal trying to take over the world. Not much mystery adventure to it, as in the first game. I do like the different creatures, they are quite well drawn and imaginative. Stupid errors in the bonus game – old lady pronouncing “scepter” as “skeptor” and referring to a god without the “I” on the end of its name. Don’t these people read/understand their script? Just sloppy. Still, an outstanding effort to do something different, and I enjoyed the game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good game, great graphics I really wanted to LOVE this game as it looked so spectacular but it wasn't as fun as I hoped. Also for you die hard Hidden Object gamers, there are a lot of puzzles here too, which I kind of like. Good change of pace game as far as story line.
