Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this series ADVISE:: Change the gamma in game settings or the brightness on your device if you have a bit of a hard time seeing the dark areas in this game. Graphics were very nice yes a bit dark here and there. I found the minigames challenging enough Helps that I love this series and the love the his voice and how he says ANNA! This game was a buy for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shadows of Grey Very good game. One does search for many items but you find them in the same room/scene for the most part. I had no problem finding items with a couple I had to use the hint button. Like the other Grim Tales here lately. I could be wrong but voice actors seem different. The games seemed short but I did get into it so maybe just seemed short. Bonus part you only get the bonus game and one can't go back and get the morphing/collectables that you missed which miffs me somewhat . It is a Collectors Edition and twice the price of the regular game. I got it on sale so I can't complain to much but. But sill a bummer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BACK TO THE FUTURE WITH ANNA GRAY REVIEW BASED UPON THE ENTIRE GAME 5 Chapters Plus a Bonus Chapter – Strategy Guide:38 pages – (My time: 3 ½ hours) OPINION: Tackle more family drama as Anna Gray blasts off into the future to save the Gray family from extinction. I found this an enjoyable family romp through time. It is a short game; however, despite its brevity, I found it a quality game with plenty of activities. It is an action-packed adventure, with a cleverly written story line. Zigzagging through time lends itself to a variety of scenes within this game, giving it a good pace. My only disappointment are the HOP scenes. Most of the scenes are lists of items set in junk piles. They are cookie cutter variations of each other, demonstrating little creativity or ingenuity in design. This game is an easy-breezy delight which should appeal to most players. Vincent Gray, Anna’s wayward father, returns from the afterlife to provide a little comic relief and give Anna a hand in battling a misguided evildoer. Now a proud grandfather, he helps flesh out the complicated story of the Gray family. There are three collectibles: portraits of the Gray family, morphing objects, and pieces to create three (3) screensavers. I found all easy to locate. There is an equal number of HOP scenes and mini-games. At the end of the game, the player can open archives, which include mini-games and HOP scenes which can be replayed. HOP SCENES: There are twenty-three (23) HOP scenes, most of which are straight lists of items. Six (6) of these are what I call “mini-HOP” scenes which only contain from six to eight items to locate. I found most of them lacking creative design – most are junkpiles. However, there are a few silhouette and storybook scenes (in which items to locate are highlighted within a story format). MINI-GAMES: I found the mini-games better designed than the HOP scenes. There are twenty-two (22) within the game. Most are easy, some a little too easy for my taste. Nevertheless, there are some puzzles which are of medium difficulty. There is a Rube-Goldberg mini-game with three (3) picture puzzles within the bonus chapter. The entire game is picture perfect in a sense– many of the puzzles center around photos and portraits from the Gray family album. MECHANICS: • Four (4) levels of play including a customized version. • Twenty-two (22) achievements. • Collect fourteen (14) portraits of the Gray family members – all descendants from Richard Gray. • Collect thirty-six (36) morphing objects • Collect twenty-six (26) picture pieces to create three (3) screensavers • Eight (8) wallpapers along with concept art, music and video sequences • Proud Grandpa Richard Gray returns as a helper as in previous games. • Replay thirteen (14) HOP scenes and thirteen (13) mini-games hidden within the archives. BONUS CHAPTER: It is a sequel. Join Alice, Anna’s future daughter, as she follows in her mother’s footsteps. When Anna Gray is kidnapped, it is up to Alice, along with the help of her proud Grandpa, Vincent, to locate her. The chapter is a decent length. To me, it is of the same quality as the main game. Continue collecting the collectibles within the chapter. There are seven (7) mini-games and six (6) HOP scenes, two of which I consider mini-HOP scenes. SPOILERS: HERE ARE SOME OF THE MINI-GAMES AFTER THE DEMO: A. Switch puzzle. Switch numbers on a clock face by using the two clock hands until all are placed into proper position. B. Rotating tiles puzzle. Rotate hexagonal tiles to restore a family portrait. C. Weight and balances puzzle. Place a series of books on scales stacking them into two piles – one dealing with knowledge and the other dealing with feelings. Place them in consecutive size with the smallest books at the top. D. Assembly puzzle. On a4 x 4 grid of masks – place the masks so that no row nor column has the same color nor emotion on the masks. BONUS CHAPTER: E. Checkers puzzle. Jump over tokens until only one remains. 3X F. Origami puzzle. Fold a map so that a route is exposed to an evildoer’s house. G. Rube Goldberg mini-game: (1) Picture puzzle. Place jigsaw puzzle pieces into position to restore pictures. (2) Paint by number puzzle. Place paint on a canvas to create a picture according to the number assigned to each color. (3) Assembly puzzle. Click on the sides of an image to change the pieces of an image until all combine to create the image.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from SOMETHING YOU WANT TO TELL US ABOUT ANNA? Completed Game approximately 3 hours (including all Mini-Games and CE Bonus Chapter) Knock, knock. Who's there? It's me, Alice Gray, don't you recognize me? Welcome to the future, and congratulations Anna, you're a momma! Okay, so she's 15 and she's here to warn you that you're all going to die. No biggie, just spend the day with your new daughter bouncing all over town, oh, and don't forget Grandpa's skull! Guest From The Future has a superb storyline that keeps you playing because you want to learn more about the story. Unfortunately, learning more about the story requires muddling through cookie-cutter cliche tasks to the point of being ridiculous. How many emblems can one place before it becomes nothing more than a chore? How many animals do I have to feed before I can take an important inventory item they have been guarding that shouldn't be there in the first place? This developer could climb back to the top slot if they would just think outside the box, they have amazing writers, amazing graphic artists, but they completely fail when it comes to getting from point A to point B! There are 10 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter, and 8 smaller Zoom Zone HOP's. They are mostly Listed Item Finds, but there are also Multiples of Objects Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds and Progression Finds. Some items are difficult to see because they are tucked away in dark corners. There are 15 Mini-Games + 12 in the CE Bonus Chapter (some of those mini-games are multi-layered puzzles) Here are some of my personal favorites: 1-Use up & down arrows to reshape the lockpick. 2-Select color-coded path buttons to move roses into correct slots. 3-Match inner icons with outer icons along paths. 4-Rotate 2 multi-colored star crystals so the gems between them are the same color. In the Collector's Edition Bonus Chapter, Alice and Richard unite to save Anna Gray from her kidnappers in the medium-length chapter. There are 12 Mini-Games (some of which are multi-layered) and 5 Hidden Object Scenes. You will find the remaining 8 Morphing Objects, 3 Gray family Character Portraits, and 12 Photo Fragments to complete the final Screensaver. This Collector's Edition version has 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art Pictures, 3 Screensavers, 5 Music Soundtracks, 22 Achievements, Archives with Replayable 13 Hidden Object Scenes and 13 Mini-Games, 14 Collectible Gray Family Portraits, 26 Morphing Objects, 37 Photo Scraps to unlock 3 Screensavers, 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-in Strategy Guide. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Story too short Grim Tales got me hooked on HOGs As always the graphics were excellent. Story line was interesting maybe a little underdeveloped. Game play was great and the puzzles were mostly challenging but not impossible HO scenes were good. The only problem and this has become a big complaint for me is that the games have become way too short.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Will the Deadly Fever take our Gray Family? I have every one of Grim Tales and I'm still liking it. The puppy is so cute. I wish the scenes weren't so dark. The indicator needs to be better. The window to view the art work for wallpapers and concept art is too small. The data is small for a CE so it's a little short. These are my only complaints. I like the wedding things and the extras. Find 14 collectible oval pictures of the characters. 26 morphs in the scenes and 36 photo scraps to make 3 screensavers. The archives have replay of 14 hops and 13 mini-games. Map has achievements, screensaver parts and collectibles. 5 chapters + bonus. In the bonus Chapter I liked the jigsaw and the paint by numbers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent but Ok game Huge fan of the Grays but I agree with a few other reviews I just completed the game including the bonus love the graphics. It was a bit confusing with the nephew and the storyline is ok seems everyone is out to destroy the Grays bloodline. It would've been nice it they added descriptions of each blood as we collect the pictures been awhile trying to place who each character in what series. Also didn't Anna get married, what happen to her husband?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So far, so good, but I'm confused. Yes, as one reviewer noted, this game has you doing some of the same old, same old, but that's exactly why I often wind up playing older games that I've already purchased. However, the storyline and timeline were IMO a little -- or a lot -- sketchy. The girl, who acts and looks to be maybe 17 or 18, is from the future and is Anna's daughter-to-be. She's the only surviving Grey, because in the future something has been killing them off, including Anna. But then, in the future, they're exploring the deceased Billy Grey's mansion, and the girl says Billy is her nephew. But how does she have a nephew that's older than she is? I couldn't work that out. I even started the demo over to see if I missed something that would clear it up, but there wasn't. I never buy CEs, but I couldn't wait to play the demo of another Grim Tales. I'll demo it again when the SE comes out to see if I can get the timeline through my dimwitted brain! Ha.
