Hidden Investigation 2: Homicide is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old School Fun As a fan of the first installment, I was excited to see this sequel come out. It is a basic old school HO game with a few extras. Each episode has 4 or 5 scenes where you gather clues to solve a mystery. You find objects in word lists, silhouette, or a scrambled word list. The faster you find objects the higher your score is where you earn stars to process evidence and interview witnesses and suspects. There are also plenty of intermittent mini-games with hints and skips. Though there is a lot of repetition, I find it super relaxing and stress relieving. The graphics are crisp and the gameplay is smooth. Cheers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I liked it! Nice relaxing game. I like the same scenes a few times because they vary the items you find and the clues to find them. Then there are clues that are different in the same scenes later. The only problem I have found is when I finished the game it said I couldn't actually finish it!? Maybe I missed something but it said to buy the next edition of the game...but I cannot find it. I would buy it anyway but it seems kinda funky to do that at the end?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from NEEDS MORE CHALLENGE This is an old-fashioned HOG (hidden object game) crime-solving mystery where you search the same scene repeatedly to locate clues (vaguely) and solve the crime. This is an old-fashioned HOG (hidden object game) crime-solving mystery where you search the same scene repeatedly to locate clues (vaguely) and solve the crime. This is an old-fashioned HOG (hidden object game) crime-solving mystery where you search the same scene repeatedly to locate clues (vaguely) and solve the crime. YES that was on purpose lol Brave Giant Games has converted one of their f2p FB games to PC and the transition was well done, unlike some f2p games where most of the mechanics remain the same even though most are worthless on a PC version. BG is a developer I have a lot of respect for, some games they develop I don't enjoy as much as others, and this is one of them. I really liked the first Hidden Investigation game, but this one was way too easy and unfortunately, I was bored and relieved when the demo ended. The hidden object never changes position or location, and when playing in the Multiples of one object mode, those multiples are so large it's impossible to miss them. I also had issues with clicking on objects too fast to be accepted, which is ironic because you are supposed to awarded extra points for fast, consecutive clicking??? The goal is to Investigate the Crime by searching for the same objects in the same scene over and over until you "master" the level and earn the required 5-Stars to progress the investigation and unlock new scenes. Each time you investigate the scene, the Hidden Object mode is different, such as Standard Listed Items, Silhouetted Shapes, Multiples of the same object, or Scrambled Letter variations. The objects are easily recognizable and the scenes themselves are clear, you can left-click to zoom in, and then drag the scene around to search for items. There is a Hint feature that you aren't penalized for using but points are deducted for misclicks. The Magnet feature will collect any object on the list when you drag it around the scene but it takes a while to recharge. I had to use the Magnet on one of the Silhouetted Shape scenes in the demo and it didn't find anything when I scanned it across the top of the screen but before I could scan another area it went "poof" back to it's spot on the bottom left to recharge? The faster you complete the level, the more points you'll earn, you can earn a full star or just a portion of a star depending on the amount of time it took you to complete the level. There's no Timer, it doesn't matter how long it takes you to complete a level, you won't run out of time and you aren't penalized, however, it'll take you longer to get to the 5-Star goal because you earn extra points for speed. The Stars earned by completing the Hidden Object Scenes are used to examine evidence or solve the case, in the form of a mini-game. The mini-games are simple puzzles that only require a few steps, such as finding 3 areas on a map using a magnifying glass or dragging a top screen over the bottom screen to pair up the 2 shapes shown on the bottom left. It would be nice if the items moved around a bit or changed position, it would be even nicer if the objects to find were randomly generated to make the game more challenging. The fast-clicking glitch needs to be addressed and so does the misspelling of items that have 2 meanings depending on how it's spelled (see location quote) HIDDEN INVESTIGATION SERIES LIST Title***Standard Edition Release Date***Average Rating 1-Hidden Investigation: Who Did It (August 18-2019) 2.2 2-Hidden Investigation: Homicide (January 20-2020) n/a by: Brave Giant

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for Beginners This is a great for beginning gamers. While the story is not a smooth transition of facts, the overall objective is to help Agent Sarah solve a murder. New gamers will enjoy hunting the same objects in the same scene until you earn enough stars to solve each scene. For anyone who has played HOPS before, this will be a very boring, repetitive, slow game. I recommend beginners or others needing an easy game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terible game! This game is probably the WORST game I've ever played on Big Fish. The visual quality is terrible and the tasks are sooo repetitious! No challenge whatsoever!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This is one of the dumbest games I've played Don't waste your money. You click on an object and it doesn't register and the mini games don't make sense.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If You Did, Then You've Played This One! The developers of the first "Hidden Investigation" saw no reason to step up their game. So they didn't even try. Each level involves repetitive HOPs in the same location until you earn 5 stars. The word lists vary in type, but the room/scene remains the same. All dialogue - stilted at best and brief - is read on screen. You will cycle through the different HOPs until you get those five stars, then you solve a simple puzzle and move on to the next segment of the "story." Be forewarned: Some of the items are incorrectly named and sizes vary wildly from life-sized down to microscopic and up to gigantic. Items are also hidden in deep shadow. You have a slow charging hint and a magnet to help you get through each level. Play the demo for this one, please. (I like an occasional "junk-pile" HOP game, but this one is like slogging through quicksand in a full suit of armor, trying to carry your horse!)
