Summer Adventure 4 is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a buy for me This is not like park rangers at all. I have all the games this developer made like this one. It is totally different from other hidden object games. You play a hidden object game (which has a small hidden object room inside the first hidden object room, in every hidden object scene) and then you play a mini game every other one is a mini game. And the game only lets you see so far ahead as to how many more there are to go. I got all the others and after playing the demo this one is no different.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enjoying it I like simple HOG's. This has everything that suits my needs. It's fun to play and I even enjoy the mini games. I do not enjoy the repetition of it looking exactly like previous games. Same layout, same mini games. It's a little bit boring, but that suits me when I don't want to think too hard. I already purchased this game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reviews at times leave me *scratching my head* therefor I am very sorry to say, but I ignore them and try them out for myself otherwise I would miss out on games that I like whereas many others have said they don't like the game. Time factor comes into a lot of games for some of us and this is a definite game for us! I like this game and just bought it and that was after seeing the reviews tally so far. The games mentioned in some of the reviews here, I have read over and over in those games reviews how tiny the hidden items are, how junky the scenes are, how same old, same old and on and on and now this one has done the opposite and still as I said left me *scratching my head*. *IMO* It doesn't need a story nor do I need to know where the pic was, I like to try and guess roughly, just like with M/S Edges latest updates with their wallpapers on my browser. Please try it out for yourself, what one may like another hates and visa-versa.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a good HO game there are a variety of different games in between the HO levels. i had to skip a few. they were the mahjong games. i got to the last level-60-and i went back and found the heart i didn't find and it just stopped. i finished the game with a perfect score. don't know what i did wrong.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I'D ACTUALLY GIVE IT 3.5 STARS FOR THE IMPROVED GRAPHICS! I have a hard time being super negative on a game when I see improvements from game to game in a series because if they are improving something, they are obviously trying, and let's face it, you just can't please everyone. On my review of Summer Adventures 3, another reviewer made the comment that I shouldn't write a review if I don't like the game, but how will developers know what people DON'T like in a game if all they read are reviews from people who like or love that particular game? (Wouldn't they continue spewing out game after game that's the same as the one before?) If you have read my reviews (thank you:) you probably know that I do love a good old-fashioned HOG if it's done correctly and has good graphics that don't have microscopic objects or objects so blurry that you can't tell whether you're staring at a turtle or just a random corner of a table. Summer Adventures 4 is an improvement as far as having easily identifiable objects, however, the scenery graphics are about as bare-boned basic as it gets with bland, single-colored items that are void of detail, there's no shading or angular lines to give it dimensional depth, the scenes just look large and flat. There are 60 Hidden Object Scenes that can be played in a Timed or Relaxed Mode, and you can earn up to 3 Stars, according to the amount of time it takes, but it doesn't seem to penalize you for misclicks or using the Hint feature. This is an old-fashioned Hidden Object Game where you are tasked with finding 15 Listed Items in each location, to earn up to 3-Stars. Each scene has a single Zoom Zone (as indicated by sparkles) that contains the final 3 objects. You can improve your star rating by replaying the scenes, via the level map, but the objects to find are different each time you play. Each level has 3 Hearts and 3 Anchors to find with Icons located on the left and right of the Inventory Bar to keep track of how many you have found. When you find all 3 Hearts in a scene, it will unlock 3 Animal Images in your Photo Album (what do hearts have to do with animals other than loving animals?) I'm not sure if the animals are supposed to represent those indigenous to the area the scene correlates to if so, it would have been nice if the scene had some type of description for each Summer Adventure location. When you find all 3 Anchors, it will unlock an image of a Yacht or Ship in your Photo Album. There's a third Photo Album that contains 40 Scene photos as well. Why didn't they go the extra mile to allow you to save all 60 level images? Why not add them as wallpapers to download? (otherwise, who cares??) The items to find are still not proportionate, in the first scene, the fork was larger than a lounge chair, and the candle was about four times the size of the Golden Retriever dog! After each Hidden Object Scene, there is a simplistic mini-game available, such as a 24 piece Jigsaw Puzzle with no rotating feature, Mahjong, Pipes, where you click to rotate square tiles to connect a path of pipes, a Group Match 2 game where you click on 2 or more identical tokens, Clutter type HO's, and a Word Search variation with images instead of actual words. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Much Of An Adventure This is just a plain and simple little HOG. It is okay for some easy fun without much thought. A couple of reviews claimed it is copy of Park Ranger, but I found absolutely no resemblance at all to the Park Ranger games. Summer Adventure series is pretty bland in most features that make up a great hidden object game. There is not much challenge, little creativity in puzzles, the colors are dull and the items are lacking in detail. Yet, there is some fun to be had if you just want to waste some time in between your more rewarding games. As for myself, I had little fun with the demo. Like with the previous 3, I have yet to find a reason to purchase any of the Summer Adventure games. But I think it may be coupon worthy for beginners in this genre or for someone not looking for a bundle of hidden object delight. Give it look-see, unlike me, you may find it to be lots of fun.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Oh dear, deja vu If this is your first time playing Summer Adventures, then I recommend it. See, I enjoyed Summer Adventure 3, but I did get tired of playing the same puzzles with the same items over and over again. The only difference I can see between Summer Adventures 3 and 4 is the scenery. Same puzzles, same items in both the puzzles and HOS, same hearts and anchors, though apparently the anchors are now called a GPS. I had to quit and delete the game before the demo was over, and I hardly ever do that. What did enjoy is that all the items are called out correctly. In my book, that's a major bravo. And I don't mind that the dev calls a basketball or a football a "basketball ball" or "football ball". It's kinda' cute. I love the images of Greece with their blue and white, white, white buildings. All in all, my opinion is that this game has a good base, but could be a lot better if there was more thought and originality given to each episode in the series. After you buy Summer Adventures 4, check out my current favorite Collection: Lost Lands. The Standard Editions are great, but the Collectors Editions are AWESOME!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from could be much better Although this game is pure copy of the Park Ranger series, it could have been much better. All the mini games featuring birds and sea creatures are really lovely! A "word search" which is a string of butterflies, fish, and birds for example is a fun and different take on an old theme. the "Mahjong" is also good. However the hidden object portion is very very repetitive and simple. Young children might like it....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from "Storyline"? I disagree with the comparison to the Park Ranger series. Yes, this is an old school type hidden object game but containing predominantly HO scenes is where any similarity between the two ends. I'm a fan of both the Park Rangers and Christmas Wonderland series of games (which are past due for upgrading!) -- plenty enough old-style HO gaming for me personally but I'm not adverse to purchasing some other one if I find it entertaining enough. This one doesn't measure up. There is no storyline here to speak of. You aren't even told where the supposed location of each scene is supposed to be like in other 'travel' games, no interesting facts about any of the locations. I guess because they're just (uninteresting) beach scenes? I got bored pretty quickly, didn't finish the free trial although I did play longer than I wanted to hoping that it would get better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Move Along..Nothing to See Here! Well, this looks like a summer school computer class of 8 year olds drew these graphics. It's a mimic of Park Ranger and it's not a very good one either. Not worth wasting my free game coupon on that's for sure!
