Beyond the Kingdom 2 Collector's Edition is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVED IT.....BRING ON THE NEXT ONE!!!!!!!! I loved the challenge in this one. I play on hardest level and won't move on to next level until I get all 3 stars. I most enjoy games that make me repeat levels until I get it right and this one was awesome for that. Great game and I highly recommend it if you want to challenge yourself like I do :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved loved loved it! What an amazing sequel. I am a hardcore TM enthusiast so normally the hard/challenging levels arent too difficult for me and can get boring. BUT this time I had to replay several levels to get the 3 stars! GREAT! As usual the gameplay and graphics were spot on. Everything about the levels were fun and I enjoyed the different types of levels, some required strategy in advance. Definitely worth it OH and MOST IMPORTANTLY the soundtrack! I love it and would buy the game just for the music.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Challenge- took me days to beat it I like a challenge. I haven't reviewed anything for a long time but wanted to start because I appreciate when others do, but I really only plan to review the ones I really like. I usually choose games when other reviewers say they are too hard and there are no complaints about the functionality. The Collectors Edition had 10 extra levels which doesn't seem like much, but towards the end they got more challenging, so I would have been sorry to not have them. While there are similar time management resource games, for this one I had to play some levels quite a few times to beat them with three stars, often off by just seconds. Whereas other games start to feel repetitive, each board provided a unique challenge. The only even slight complaint I could have was that some of the roads were so windy that I dreaded when I didn't get three stars because I didn't want to start over and do all of the slow stuff, but that's all part of it and there are a lot of speed boosts which makes it work. Assuming the CE only adds the 10 levels, the original version would be WELL worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just delightful in every way! Well I loved the first one, and I love this one! It is a beautifully designed TM and the graphics are really eye pleasing and fun to work with. You will build and gather, clear and upgrade, banish bad folk and dig stuff just like most standard games. However the features in this one are often centered around a lot of trading and exchange thus adding another level of thought. Even some of the production buildings require a ‘swap ‘ of resources rather than just pumping out the product. (some do) One of the new features in this game is that the druid that restores withered food bushes (after you build his tent) can also change one building to another if it has an ‘exchange alter’ attached to it. This means you may perhaps have a sawmill..but it can be changed to a quarry and back again etc. So more strategy for you to master. Another is the bard tent where he gives you speedy boots when you check in is also supplemented with little lightening bolts scattered around and also coming up on alters that whizz you along when you pick them up. You get to decide when you use some..and some are collected within the game design in order to clear the road. Another is an ‘observation tower’ that reveals hidden resources. This is your best friend lol. Once you activate it all manner of things appear on the screen to grab!, including the auto collect feature that does not wear off. (good one) There are pirates that have cannons to blow up things, there are leprechauns that trade for gold, hunters that chase monsters and collect gold, gold and crystal mines..lots of stuff to do. If people are ‘frozen’ you must thaw them out by lighting fires. Try the demo of course, but this is an absolute feel good game that has a great strategy guide with actual hints like ‘don’t bother removing that’ if you want three stars.' Always check your goals carefully as some things don't need to be removed and snavel your resources. There are three level modes inc relax, and achievements. It starts off quite easy but it does keep ramping up the challenge. It is a CE worthy game but strangely you must wait until completion of the main game to access your wallpapers, music and soundtrack. Also don’t be worried if on completion of each level your map becomes gigantic , just wait a few seconds and it will recede. Something to do with the ActiveX download it uses. You will be prompted for this and it will check if you have it already or not. It’s a buy for me for sure! Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It was worth the wait! I've been waiting an age for this sequel and it doesn't disappoint! The first Beyond The Kingdom game was a huge favourite of mine, which I replayed many times while hoping for a follow-up. Finally it's here :-) There are some differences but the basic gameplay remains the same. Build the usual sawmills, farms, gold mines etc. while fighting off man eating plants and crystal monsters, all with the aid of your druid friend, who luckily has magic at his disposal. The one thing that is missing is the Bard, whose lyre music inspired the workers to run and work harder. I must admit to being a bit sad that he has been replaced; instead the workers pick up lightning bolts placed around the playing area. These have the same effect as the Bard but for me just aren't as nice. Maybe they'll find him on another island! There are 3 modes of play, including relaxed and extras include a built-in SG (which you access via the ? at the top left of screen) and bonus levels, In the last game there were 3 more islands to play so hopefully this game is the same! The graphics are of a high quality and the overall game is a lot of fun. It retains the charm of the first episode and adds enough differences that you don't feel as though you're just playing the first game over again. An instant buy for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is what all TM games should strive to be I have to admit that I let early reviews sway my downloading this game. But, desperate times call for desperate measures. After replaying a number of my favorite TM games, I decided to give this game a try. How anyone can give this game less than at least 4 stars is beyond me. This is one of the best, most challenging TM games I've encountered in quite a while. And, to me, well worth the money. It has taken me several days, at the "challenge" level to get 3 stars on levels 1-6. Have just started levels 7. And, man on man, the challenge is definitely there!!! I don't care too much for games where I obtain 3 stars quickly, or with no challenge. This game challenges me on both strategy and time. I have had to resort using videos on that u tube sight to figure out strategy, and even then, it took me several tries to obtain 3 stars. Quite satisfying once I was able to get the 3 stars, and admittedly, frustrating at times. But, isn't that what a good TM should be? Shouldn't we have to struggle to get the stars? If not, then why not just play without the timer (not saying one shouldn't enjoy playing w/out the timer; just saying, I like the challenge). All that said, I am truly enjoying this game and that it is helping me through this self-quarantine time. Big thanks to the developer for challenging my brain, and helping me forget the situation we are all facing at this difficult time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thanks developer ! First of all, please excuse my bad english. Yes ! A challenging game ! I played this game in challenge mode, and I really enjoyed it. It's a "basic" TM game, but in a good way. The graphics are nice, the bard and the druids are a good addition. There are 40 main levels and 10 bonus levels. I really appreciated that the challenging mode is really difficult. If I play a game in challenge mode, I expect to use my brain ! This mode is challenging, but not impossible though. After many tries, I found the right strategies and got 3 stars on every level. For me, this game has the perfect amont of challenge. I also appreciated that the levels were dense and lasted a long time. I hope that the next games of the series will be as fun and challenging as this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have been waiting for this one Since I played the demo of part 2 of this serie, I have been waiting with great anticipation. I really love playing this one. If you like TM games, this is imho a must-have. I leave the more elaborate reviews to the better English writers and fellow TM fans like Joybelle. But I assure you, you will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Bard is back! From other reviews I have read: 1. The Bard is in this game. 2. There are additional levels. I thoroughly enjoyed this latest installment. Waited for a long time and I think it was worth the wait. Play on my BFGamers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from At last! I have been waiting for a sequel to this - I really enjoyed the first one. It's a bit different to similar time management games which gives it an edge. Unfortunately I don't know what it is that sets it apart. Can't wait for it to come out on standard version.
