Chimeras: Cherished Serpent Collector's Edition is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from A New Reason To Be Grateful For Demos! You arrive in town, fresh off the train just in time to see a man stagger toward you and collapse on the street. He is dead. Welcome to Serpent Hill. Good stuff: There are collectible morphs, cards, and puzzle pieces. There are the usual game elements and a variety of tools to find and use. There is a story, which I certainly hope will show up in the main game, because it was MIA in the demo. All we know is people are dying. Bad Stuff: There are more complicated locked areas than you can shake a stick at - and you will want to. The cobbled together tools will leave you gasping alternately at their simplicity and impracticality. You will, as you most certainly have before, carry around a sharp jagged piece of glass to cut things. You will fasten a bent wire to a wooden pole with a chain to fish something out of the sewer from under the dead man. You will prepare a potion for the woman villagers have branded a witch. And somewhere along the way you will bail from the demo, secure in the knowledge that they can't make you buy this poor little short thing. Bottom line: Do not complain if you waste your hard earned dollars on this game because you purchased without trying it. Please just try it first. You may be perfectly delighted, just don't go in with your eyes closed!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Trial: Predictable Old Theme Tasks. Boring Content. Graphics are nicely done and gamma offered to adjust color. Hidden Objects games are beyond simple and mini games just annoying...not a fan, so not the best to judge them...just skipped them after a feeble attempt. Time wasters in this case. The story ambled along and I felt like I've seen some of the content before. Characters are over done in dress details...how many items can one person wear? But, the lady sheriff didn't have a gun in her holster? The tasks are predictable-been there done them before. Make a potion, put a puzzle together. Just boring sequences that didn't pull me into the story or intrigue me to purchase this game. Seems the productions recently are lack luster in content, script, dialogue and interesting characters. Time for developers to go back to the drawing boards and come up with something new, innovative and fun for players. Listen to the voices and the scripts. Have a forum play the game and give feedback and then fix it. Take the pluses you offer and enhance on them and get rid of the old, tired stuff that continues to repeat and bore players. Do appreciate all the work put into these games, but don't capitalize on old stuff. Please respect your audience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from What a Disappointment Chimeras used to be an entertaining series, but this game was such a letdown. There was no continuity to the game and absolutely no challenge. I would not recommend this for anyone above a beginner.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I usually love Big Fish games, but..... ...this game seemed like they stopped creating the game itself in the middle. The prettiest part of it was the advertisement for the game! It seemed very rudimentary and unfinished. I was glad that I had tried the demo, because I would have felt ripped off had I bought it first. Sorry...I'm in love with BF, but this game doesn't deserve to be on this site.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very poor I'm afraid I am getting very tired of the poor repetitive games that are trying to cash in on the first chapter. I could only last for 15 mins and I have now terminated my membership after 12 happy years with BFG and countless games. The glory years about 10 years ago are now long gone. Au revoir to you all

Rated 1 out of 5 by from don't buy I have played this company's games in the past and they were very fun, with the special offer and depending on past games I bought the game without testing it first, never again, very boring, little excitement,

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HOPEFULLY CHERISHED SERPENT IS THE LAST GAME IN THE CHIMERAS SERIES I still remember when the first Chimeras game was release by Elephant Games in 2013. Tune of Revenge was, and still is one of the most awesome games I have ever played. Unfortunately, Chimeras Cherished Serpent pales in comparison to that first game and is simply another forgettable game in a series that has somehow held on past what should have been its last gasp of breath. The storyline is laughable, and the graphics are even worse. In some respects, the game seems very unpolished and is so out of character for a game from one of my favorite developers. I honestly expect more from this development team that over the years has brought some of the best game series to BFG. Generally, I write longer reviews but sadly, I was unable to complete the demo because Cherished Serpent is such an uninspired game. There are very few games that I ever give only one star and Cherished Serpent will now join that club. Although Chimeras Cherished Serpent is not the game for me, please try the demo to see if it is a game that might just be perfect for you. Happy gaming!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from An Absolute Waste Of Time & Money Compared to past Chimera games; this one was just far too short and sweet with a predictable storyline, repetitive match-pair hidden objects, and lousy game to be self-entertaining and enjoyable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You can't keep offering us the same garbage and pretending it's new. All the Elephant nonsense is included. The broken glass that you can't touch without a cloth, to be used as a knife. Something lodged in the drain. Stuff hidden behind walls. 85 million shaped keys. It's the same in every single Elephant game. I currently have 9 game credits and can't find even one game worth purchasing. Personally, I'm going to troll through the older games, spend my credits, and cancel my membership. Enough is enough. The glory days are over and they're clearly not returning.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gave up on Elephant Games I lost faith in Elephant games with Grim tales, I bought it, because I loved the series w/o demo, BAD MISTAKE, the storyline was HORRIBLE, the voices robotic. EXACT same thing with this one. I realize we're in a pandemic, but other devs are still providing very good games. Whenever you see a Elephant game, TRY IT BEFORE YOU BUY IT. It's your choice, I've seen bad reviews for games that I absolutely ended up loving. Do NOT buy sight/play unseen.
