Customer Reviews
Paint By Numbers 11 is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Colorful After I read the other reviews, I was wondering what could be wrong with #10. I found it to be much improved after 9. The colors are brilliant, and I like almost all of the pictures, so it's a keeper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from snowman ladder truck I enjoyed the game. Some of them were super easy and others took some time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No challenge No thought; Stress reliever and Mind Vacation I've collected almost all of these for the purposes mentioned above. People not challenged would do better with pictures where the color is chosen from a pallet, and independently filled in. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these I have all 11 of these and this one does have a minor glitch. The background color does not keep what you choose from picture to picture, but it does not impede progress. The only thing I wish they'd change, is to put all the tutorials on the 1st page, all together. It's not fun getting interrupted every minute with what to do. After playing them all, more than once, I don't need a tutorial anyway, and neither would anyone else.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from imissudakota Let me start by saying I love the art by numbers & modern art games. But this series is not so great. Thanks for getting rid of all the clicking but alot of the pictures were just ugly and the colors blah and drab. And I would like to see more challenging levels. Please we need some improvements. But as far as the other 2 games keep them coming.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from paint by numbers 11 can i make a suggestion to the developers i love these games but please make it more of a challenge perhaps some mini games between levels and some sort of art museum to build up where we have to complete certain levels in order to hang our finished paintings let us earn achievements i will keep buying these games as i do find them relaxing my daughter likes them too just liven them up a little perhaps let us travel to other citties and we have to unlock them that would be good we need more of a challenge t/y

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NO LONGER ADDING TO MY COLLECTION I had originally started collecting all of the various 'paint-by-number' games that Big Fish has to offer. But after seeing that the developers hadn't changed anything to draw our attention to these games, I soon had to stop my collection. Simply put, not worth the money or credit or even a FREE game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me It's been years since I used the traditional paint and brush to create a paint by number. This game did not compare at all to what I remember. "Spoiler" When I clicked on a number in the the paint palette all the corresponding areas on the picture turned gray. In my opinion that took out any challenge. I think a copy of the complete picture next to the blank canvas would be useful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from UGLY COLORS & IMAGES THAT USE THICK BLACK LINES & SHAPES INSTEAD OF COLOR? This developer really needs to invest in a graphics artist if they want to sell more games because once again these are just single images slapped in the center of a grey square. The images couldn't be more unappealing, even if they included the background in the image (the ability to paint the entire image) they still wouldn't be pretty because the color choices of olive greens, browns, blacks, and shades of ugly oranges just don't pop like other painting games. To make matters worse, the images include unpaintable huge black lines and various shapes to complete the picture, making the completed image look like a child's drawing...why??? There are 64 images available but you are forced to finish the first level before moving on to the next. Why do I have to finish one level before proceeding? I did complete the first 10 levels and it appears that the rest of the images are basically round or oval shapes that I believe were intentionally designed to represent stained glass pictures. Honestly, they probably just designed it this way because it would take minimal effort to code these basic graphic images into the program!? They did make the cursor tip slightly smaller and less bulky and you can now drag the cursor to fill in the colors on the entire board as long as you don't let go of the mouse button. In other words, as long as you left-click & hold before dragging a color, only the current number will be filled in, all other numbers will be ignored until you release the mouse button. This is a painting game...so it would be nice to have some actual paintbrush tip options ("options" is the keyword here as in more than one) There is also a Hint button that will point to any missed areas of the current color, without penalty if you don't feel like swiping over the whole board to catch missed areas. Speaking of swiping, you will probably have to swipe over the smaller sections numerous times before the color is added, some of the tiny areas seem to require clicking on a very specific area versus simply swiping across them! There's not a whole lot to have to figure out, it's about as uncomplicated and basic as it gets. Paint By Numbers is a computer version of Oil or Colored Pencil Paint by Numbers. The only difference is that in real paint by numbers artwork, the colors are vivid and each adjacent color has a sharply contrasting color resulting in a very beautiful and colorful finished painting. Each area has a number and you simply chose the corresponding color bubble from the palette (also numbered) on the right side, left-click to fill in all the numbers with the correct color. Unlike most other paint by numbers games, this series has minimal options. There is a Slider Bar that allows you to zoom in & out as well as a "fit" tab. You can move the entire page around by right-clicking and dragging, and there is a slider bar that allows you to change the color of the background as well. It's abundantly clear now that this developer is only interested in making a quick buck rather than improving each game moving forward to give customers what they are asking for. At first, the games were unique but now other developers are jumping on the Paint by Numbers bandwagon and they have built a better mousetrap so to speak. Even the series' that are brand new have tweaked different features every time which shows they care and to me, it shows that they have heart and would rather create fewer games with better quality versus mass producing games with crappy quality! Rated 1 out of 5 by from I Would Suggest Don't Bother I do own Number 2 and was so disappointed. I try each demo just in case something changes. Once again, it's a no. I guess it will take a miracle. The first group of pictures were not good. One was done in 15 shades of ugly browns, every single item including leaves and flowers. Who would ever think that color scheme was a good idea? It is a boring game. Goodness knows we request changes often enough but our reviews are continually ignored and the poor quality just keeps coming. I got to the other side of the first level only to find more unattractive, juvenile pictures. Each is centered on the screen with no surrounding background to make it more interesting. The palette contains mainly dull colors, very little variation on the shades and many of the images use only a handful of colors. Whoever is responsible for the combinations for each pic doesn't seem to have an eye for color or shading. There are so many beyond-microscopic pieces to fill in IF you can spot them. The Zoom wasn't even much help so I had to use Hint far too often to finish up, plus it was necessary to click numerous times to apply the color. There are no fun options or features except the slide bar which provides a variety of colors for the background. The numbered areas also show up in your chosen color, making them easier to see. There are 64 images. Each can be done in 5 minutes or less at a normal pace, speed up a little and 1 to 2 minutes is all you need. Zoom and hint together is needed to find the teensy segments hiding in the nooks and crannies. This is one of the two worst paint by numbers games I have seen here at BFG. It's one of those that Big Fish will never say no to because WHY? I can't figure it out! All I know is that I will never buy another Paint By Numbers nor recommend it unless some much needed improvements are added. As is, it is not a good value even with a coupon.
