Customer Reviews
Emerland Solitaire 2 is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back to Emerland! I am enjoying this new game, and while it's a bit different in style and process than the first game, the graphics and the artwork are just as beautiful. It took me a bit to get used to the new format, the cards are a bit on the large size, but as I work my way through, I find I am able to go back and play any hands that I missed. All in all, I'm glad to be playing Emerland again, and at about a third of the way through am pleased that the developers did change it up a little so it wouldn't be exactly a cookie cutter version of the first Emerland. On to the quest!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Game! I almost didn't buy this game with all the bad reviews, but I am glad I did. Is it different than the previous Emerland? Yes, but it is still good! Are the levels challenging to get three stars? Yes, but that makes it more interesting!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun Solitaire Game- Nothing To Write Home About First of all- bugs in the system: I trouble with the map and I was sometimes not awarded the 1star 10 pts I had earned. The visuals pop, they are very very good. But as a game, it needed more oomph, more side games, more depth. Definitely challenging at some parts but becomes boring after a while. Nice way to pass the time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Likely the same as the first one Its a beautiful game. The music is good, the scenery is very nice, the story is ok. The problem is, I have the first one and it is the same music and more or less the same game and same syle of story. Only the scenery changes. I will not by it, but I recommend it if you don't already have the first game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from SOMETIMES IT"S BETTER TO CHANGE NOTHING AT ALL The Chronicles of Emerland Solitaire was one of my absolute favorite Solitaire games. I bet I played that game a thousand times, it was that good! When I learned that a new Emerland was on the horizon I just knew I was going to love it and I could hardly stand the wait...but I am a tad bit disappointed that it lacks the pizzazz of its predecessor. You can play in an Easy or Advanced Mode and the first chapter has an annoying Card Shake tutorial if you hesitate for a second before choosing a card on the board, but fortunately, that goes away after the first chapter! There are only 3 Card Backs to choose from, none of which are that attractive. (you'd expect a few more choices in a CE version?) There are 3 Card Fonts, the default font is about as plain as it gets but the font is large enough for anyone to see easily. There is a Themed Card and a more modern large font as well, and 10 Achievements to earn. Combos start at 5 Cards, and it's almost impossible to earn all 3-stars without making several combos because they were very stingy with the number of deck cards so the hand is over almost before it begins, and the combos and cards remaining are what fills the stars for "energy". Fortunately, you can Replay levels, and even better, you can click the score window to bring up the replay/continue tabs quickly. Eventually, you will meet various characters that will join your quest to save Emerlands Magic. These characters can be used to change a deck card into a useful card or remove a lingering card, for example. These character boosters need to be recharged after every use by removing specific card suits such as Hearts or Diamonds. What I dearly missed was the Hidden Object Scenes after every Chapter. In the original Chronicles of Emerland, they had amazing Hidden Object Scenes where you had to find Cards, Ravens, etc. and there was always a few objects that really hard to find because they were so well-hidden! The Collector's Edition version has 10 Achievements, 5 Music Soundtracks, 5 Artwork Wallpapers, and an Extra Chapter that's supposedly more challenging. I thought the game was plenty challenging, as I said earlier, they don't give you very many deck cards and it's difficult to make large combos, thus it's difficult to earn enough energy to fill all 3-stars and I had to replay most of the levels a few times. I was really excited about this game, but it didn't thrill me as much as the original version, therefore, since the CE version doesn't seem to have anything special and the SE version didn't change my mind, I think I'll just enjoy playing the original The Chronicles of Emerland Solitaire and wait patiently for the developers to go back to the drawing board to create something closer to the original version. When a game becomes a classic with rave reviews, don't revamp it, just give us updated features, better graphics, and a new story! Visit me at my new forum thewoodsforum.boards.net

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Is this a throw-back? There are a lot of issues with this game that other developers have managed to overcome. 1) Sound and music are on/off. I like to adjust the sound AND the music, not just on/off 2) Can't skip the tutorial. Come on! How many times do we have to be taught to play one up one down solitaire?? 3) No reason given for getting 2 stars instead of 3, even if you've beaten a level. 4) Considering this is supposed to be a "new" game, for some reason, my profile from November 2020 came up and I was already on level 6. Hmmmm.... I smell something fishy! I love solitaire and the graphics made this look like it would be a good game, but it's a no-buy for me.
