Nora's AdventurEscape is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice new type of game Setting the way it ends aside (aforementioned by other players), this was a great game! To be honest with you, I tire of two types of game availability, SE or CE. Let's just have one game polished the way the developer wants. I applaud BigFish for throwing some different types into the mix lately. It is enjoyable, has a casual feel, and does not contain standard Hidden Object scenes. The length was very good too. It sort of has mini-escape games and puzzles. Much different than the Hidden Object games we have playing a lot of over the past years. I happened to like it a lot!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as easy as it seems. I find it astonishing that people judge this game without giving it a fair trial. Deleting it after 5 minutes is not fair on the developers, who have undoubtedly spent months making this unique game only for it to be trashed by some who haven't given it a chance. Did I play it all through the demo? Yes and I bought the CE version. It starts out with Nora's love of skating and her desire to honour her childhood hero; it ends up as a fun storyline with some crazy characters and tasks that vary from really simple to mind-bendingly difficult! I still can't work out how to decorate that blasted cake no matter how much I stare at chef's instructions! My only criticism is the dialogue; there's way too much yapping between the characters so I skip it, which stops me getting all the achievements. Oh and none of the characters change their clothes throughout the entire game! Adding a launderette should have been a necessity! Bright colourful graphics, together with some tricky puzzles made this a must-buy for me. Don't be put off by all the negativity; this game doesn't deserve to be judged by 5 minutes of play.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy at first but very challenging later The CE of this game got a lot of negative reviews and most of those reviews were based on 5 or 10 minutes of the demo. The demo of this game does not really show the full potential, yes it starts off very easy but it is a puzzler's dream the further in to this game you get. For those who Bought the CE please check your updates in your game manager as the update includes sections that were missing. There is now in the CE version and NOT here, a strategy guide. wallpapers and music and acheivements. There are more levels in the CE they were just added on to the end of the game but if you compare the two you will see this. I am now glad I bought the CE since the upgrade. Apart from the easy start my main complaint with this game is there are no profiles, so you can not put your name or make another profile. Be very careful with this as there is a start a new game option. Go for that and you lose all your previous progress. If only you could have more than one profile. This game has a lot of potential it just needs some refining. Check other reviews from the CE remembering what I said re the negative ones. Also there is way too much narrative in this but you can skip it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots to Recommend it! I purchased the CE version of this game despite the so-so reviews, and I find I'm enjoying it! Nora, a medal-winning Olympic figure skater, ends up in the town where her idol, a former famous skater, lived and where she meets the townsfolk and solves their problems and a few of her own. Your job is to solve puzzles and help her find the things she needs. The storyline is lightweight, but the gameplay is well thought out and frustration free, and the graphics are cute. The game helpfully labels each puzzle with its difficulty, from simple no-challenge to "hard" and "super hard." Fortunately, there's a handy skip button if you get stuck. The puzzles mostly give no directions, so it's up to you to figure out what to do and how to do it to arrive at the solution. This is a great play-together family game, with the simplest levels being perfect for young children with a little help. I like it and I hope you will too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from THE DIFFICULTY PROGRESSES AFTER THE DEMO-GREEN IS EASY-BLUE IS MEDIUM-RED IS HARD I realize everyone judges a game based upon the demo, however, the demo doesn't do this game any justice and that was a huge oversite on Brave Giant's part. I was a bit harsh with my review on the CE version because the CE content was MIA (it has recently been updated and now has the bonus content) and the developers missed a golden opportunity to showcase a new kind of gameplay because they failed to offer a variety of difficulty modes within the first part of the demo. Looking back I realized that this was a brand new format from Brave Giant so I decided to take the plunge...more importantly, I decided to support one of my favorite developers. I purchased the CE version after being informed that the missing CE content would be available via the GM update (again, the CE version has recently been updated to include the missing content) I am NOT regretful of my purchase, it may not be a "blow your socks off" kind of game, but it is a decent and entertaining game that offers a unique kind of gameplay with HO scenes and puzzles of varying difficulty...some of which may have you scratching your head as to how to solve them! Cyril48 was spot on when he explains that this is the kind of game that requires more than 5-10 minutes of gameplay to get the full picture. I took a chance on Brave Giant and I'm glad I did, give them a chance to work out the kinks...they are trying to create a new kind of game, and the only way they can improve is by getting feedback from our reviews, so at least play the entire demo and give feedback based on all three difficulty modes. Each scene begins with a Play Button of various colors, GREEN Buttons are EASY to solve, BLUE Buttons are MEDIUM, and RED Buttons indicate the tasks are HARD to solve, so this isn't an easy-breezy game, it just has a variety to offer! This is an escape-the-room game, sort of...the idea is to solve the task at hand in various locations that require some sort of interaction with items you find and use within the scene. You may have to solve puzzles by entering codes you uncover during those interactions. There is a Hint system that will supposedly nudge you toward the solution if need be. I would agree that the Green Play Button locations were simplistic, but as you progress, so does the difficulty so make sure you play a variety of the tasks/puzzles/HOs and pay attention to the color of the play buttons. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for me but... I played this game awhile back, probably on my Android tablet. It's a puzzle type game with fairly simple graphics and a lot of dialogue which is skippable. I didn't buy it then and I'm not buying it now but I'm also recommending that you try it out. It might be your type of game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for me I only tried the demo but didn't finish it because I felt this game was boring and the "tasks" were not challenging.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from We paid full price - we want a full story I was ready to give it a good review - as a I found it light easy entertainment (we sometimes crave that) But as the story came to near its conclusion I got the message "If you want to know how the story ends buy the Collector's Edition" Sorry but that is tacky and dishonest. Just because we do not want extras does not mean that we do not want what we paid for - which is a complete story. I am putting the name of this developer in my "never buy again" list. Hope to never deal with these developers again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nope My apologies to the inventors of this game, but Nope. The graphics are clear, colorful and bright. but cut scenes are confusing. Tasks...you have to click the blue box at the lower left hand corner of the screen to bring up the task scene. Filling a bottle of water took several clicks. perhaps I did not give this a fair chance...I deleted the game after the bottle of water ........slow moving, choppy and tedious but the graphics are nice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from THE MOST IRRITATING GAME EVER? How many times do we have to be told to perform a task? THREE times for every task! Even worse, 4 times to actually quit the game. This one is definitely not for me.
