Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Enjoyed this Game This is a Harlequin Romance HOS. Bought this years ago and just got around to playing it. Really enjoyed this lighthearted game. Some items were too small, but that just made it more challenging. If you love HOS give this a try. Older game but well done. Wish it was longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Romantic Hidden Object Game First, let me say that I enjoy reading romance novels. This is kind of like reading a romance novel! But with not so many words. This is a pure hidden object game, which I also love. Hidden object scenes are mostly within a fancy hotel. There are about 10 to 15 things to find and it is pretty easy to find them. If you find a harlequin symbol, your hint meter will refill instantly. Hint meter fills up pretty fast, anyway. I like how bright and clear the hidden object scenes are and the storyline is very cute!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from glad i didnt follow the reviews the reviews I read for this game almost had me not try it. I am glad I went with my gut and did. yes it is a very easy hog, but it was fun, with a cute story that wasn't gory, violent, or bloody. it is not a long game, I finished in about 90 minutes, and the game did not require me to have to search for little things that can be sometimes hard to find. I found it was a nice change of pace from the hog that require you to backtrack for items, have to find tiny items. have to put items together to have them work. I find this is a good game for children, and for adults who are looking to relax and not have to spend a lot of time looking for items that are hard to find. I will have to say the price was one of the reasons I was also willing to try it. I did get it on sale, which made it worth the try. if your looking to just relax and not have to spend a lot of time and patience looking then I would say this little game is a good one for you. also, if you have children who are getting into the hog games this would idea for them to play. if it had been longer I would have given it a 5. I also play with the sound off, so I can not give you a honest score on the sound quality, but the visual quality was fine in being able to find the items without squinting, and being able to read the story as it was posted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For classic HO fans I enjoyed playing the game and reading the bonus romance e-novel that came with the game (although the e-novel had a different plot and heroine from the game albeit a similar setting). People who like playing uncomplicated (i.e. no inventory and collecting of tools in one scene to use in another scene) HO games and don't mind the predictable story-line (it's a romance after all so you can tell what's going to happen in the end) are likely to enjoy this game. Those who like an exciting plot or challenging game play will probably not enjoy this game. The scenes are suitably exotic looking and the hidden objects are mostly quite easy to find, so the game is quite stress-relieving and good for passing the time, especially if you play in relaxed mode. Hints are sufficient and the hint button recharges quickly enough. The mini-games are skippable and you can also choose to disable the plot for those who want to replay the game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Hidden Object And Less Puzzle.. This was just screen after screen of hidden object with very little else going on/not a lot of puzzles between the hidden object scenes. I didn't think it was too short or so easy that it was boring. It is just very relaxing. Cute romantic theme. If you like lots of hidden object scenes then this is the game for you. There are some puzzles but not as many as usual for this kind of game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from MODERN DAY FAIRYTALE This game is a modern day fairytale romance, where a woman meets a prince, falls in love, overcomes obstacles (stolen diamonds, assassination attempt) and lives happily ever after as queen of the realm. However, no kissing of frogs was required. What else can you expect from the Harlequin company? I'm not a romance book fan, so I did not take advantage of the free book. I did enjoy the game, though. There is an option of playing the game without the cut scenes for the story, making it a straight hidden object game, but that would have been kind of boring, so I played it with the storyline. The hidden object scenes are the standard list type and not very hard, although I did use the hint button a few times. It is pretty short, so I would recommend buying it on sale or using a coupon. Nothing special, just a nice little game to entertain you for a little while.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Extremely solid HOG offering. This is a very standard HOG--light on "adventure", heavy on junkpile hidden object screens, in love with minigames like "spot the difference," all of it propelled along by a decent little Harlequin romance-novel storyline about a reporter investigating a Mediterranean mystery and catching the attention of a dissolute prince in the process. The graphics and music seem perfectly fine, though I don't like junkpile screens overmuch. The characters and their story are what really make this game fun to play; the prince is of course very dashing and masculine, though his interest in the heroine is almost entirely arbitrary and inexplicable, and a hint of danger draws all the "good guys" together. Overall, this is what I'd call a "solid" game. It doesn't throw me any unpleasant curveballs, it's not too hard and not too easy, it's got hints and skips where I prefer them, the mechanics of play work like they should, and the storyline does its job without being irritating or laughable. I also actually liked the nostalgia factor of the game--it really feels like playing along an 80s-era romance novel (though without the overt stuff--this is definitely an adult's game, but it is pure as Ivory soap)! I recommend it for any adult player who wants a more lighthearted, straightforward HOG than the super-dark, grim, life-or-death offerings popular at the moment.
