緑豊かなグリーンフィールド島をおそった竜巻のせいで島民は避難を余儀なくされ、植物や建物も無残な姿に変わり果ててしまった。美しい島を取り戻そうと政府が発表したアイデアとは「島復興コンテスト」を開催すること！最も短期間で島の復興に成功した参加者には誰もがうらやむご褒美が与えられるというのだ！条件は開発資金を各自で用意すること…そこでコンテストに「我こそは！」と参加したのが植物研究者のキミ。驚異的なスピードで植物を育成する方法を発見したキミは食材を売りながら島を元通りにする作戦を立てたのだった。果たして見事島を救うことはできるかな？
