Redrum: Time Lies is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This game is very dark, but very entertaining! I have finished and started this game over numerous times. One of the things that keeps me coming back is the music, it's haunting but soothing at the same time. For anyone who enjoys puzzles and hidden object mini-games, you should definitely buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent different type of HOP game I know this is a creepy game, but the funny remarks when you click on a scene balances this out. You can tell alot went into the creativity and artwork of this game. I loved the puzzles in this game, and the HO scenes were different, but not hard. I hope the next sequel comes out soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this spooky game (not for kids though!) Some themes in this game may be upsetting - definately not for children under 16 in my opinion. The game was lots of fun with mini puzzles and a great story. Would recommend buying this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY BUT GRUESOMELY FUN Didn’t record all the time playing, but it was for several hours. Storyline and superb graphics are DISTURBING AND GRUESOME – that’s what made it a lot of fun (not everyone will think that). The evil and insane Dr. Fraud was committed to his own asylum for treatment after redrum. Inside, he created nightmares in 10 patients whom Rose (with the help of her detective uncle) has to save by entering into their world. Very wild and bizarre scenes add to the nightmarish atmosphere. Broody, spooky music interspersed with screams. Interactive map updates as new rooms are found. There are 2 main branches off a central fountain with a number of locked rooms. You are aided by a crow which brings you helpful items besides giving you a rose for each patient who has been rescued by Rose and her detective uncle (although he is quite playful with one, as he keeps flying off as you are about to collect the rose). Add the roses to the central fountain until it has been drained to reveal its contents at the bottom. Crow will also bring you the means to open up new rooms. Wide variety of HOS (object list, find 20-30 like items, find section of picture matching those in your tray) and a wider variety of puzzles. Some are quite challenging, but don’t give up. Persistence will pay off – just take a break and see another patient for awhile. Newspaper accounts of the deeds of each doomed patient are outside of the entrances to each room. Graphics are truly nightmarish and imaginative. After rescuing the 10 patients and seeing what the bottom of the fountain reveals, an unexpected disaster strikes. So enter sequel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scariest Big Fish Game I played so far: Loved it! The game surely isn't meant for little children. For me as a horror-fan it was just fine! The creepy atmosphere caught me at once. I liked the graphics and the music. The puzzles were a bit repetitive but I liked them. Especially the "Drag columns and rows"-puzzles were great fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was creepy awesome! I thought this game was incredable. It's very engaging, keeps you wondering and wanting to save the patients. It took me a good 5 hours to go through without any help. If you like fast pace and super creepy this IS the game for you. I do want to mention this game is very graphic and it caters to the criminaly insane. There are storys you read that even made me cring. If you can handle that...great. Try the demo. And then buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional horror Definitely not for anyone who isn't fond of very dark content. I wish there were more like this! Can't figure out how to say more without going into spoilers - but the plot did not disappoint. There's a basic pattern through most of the gameplay. Minigames repeat - to me, they seemed to get harder as they went on, but then I might've just been staring at the screen for too long. Was not in love with the reverse-puzzle Hidden Object-ish scenes (although they were refreshingly different). However, I really enjoyed the many jigsaw-type puzzles - the art was fantastic, and the puzzles definitely made the most of it. The general pace was spot-on. Hints are limited and can be increased by finding magnifying glasses in various scenes, which is a big plus. At the easier level, there is no penalty for multiple clicks on HO scenes, so hints are a last resort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Possibly the most exceptional and novel BF game to date I have played Big Fish games for many years now, yet have never felt compelled to review a game, although they have all been very high quality games. I am partial to the dark themes in hidden object games, so naturally I was drawn to Redrum. But it certainly is bounds above other games of it's type, if it can be grouped by type at all. Redrum is an exceptional, twisted and dark game sure to thrill those looking for not just creepy fun, if you are like me, creepy is as good as you will get but you want something just a little more mature, and when it says mature trust the disclaimer because it is for mature audiences only I guarantee it will leave some people downright haunted by the disturbing imagery if this is not their cup of tea but the rest of us avid horror-seekers it's just what we are looking for... if that's what you want then this game delivers. It has an engrossing storyline with gameplay and forward progression not found in any other game. I cannot compare it to other games, because it is a standalone in it's novelty. Give it one hour and you will be hooked. This is my favorite Big Fish game, and I've been playing Big Fish for years, and come with a long history of video gaming in general. This is the game you have been wanting. Trust me.
