Rated 4 out of 5 by from I hope the twelve people who made this keep creating! You can tell this is made on a budget, but the story line was great, it made sense and worked in a straightforward manner. The first game in this series had horrible reviews and this one has low ones but due to the terrible games that are now coming out I am working my way alphabetically through the adventure games that I had previously ignored for low ratings and have discovered some gems this way! Although the potential is that my experience in the games in the last year have lowered my expectations. That being said, this was made by twelve people which is pretty awesome compared to the hundreds that work on ones for the big name companies and how disappointing they are now. I say give it a try and you also might want to go through the listed games again to see what you might find! I have been happily surprised!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Detective Agency 2 At least it's improved since the first one! They have done away with the lengthy comic book style dialog and replaced it with more realistic graphics, but no voiceovers and still a ton of reading which I quickly became bored and disinterested with. This game is also more interactive requiring you to toggle back and forth between the inventory list and your briefcase where you store items you may need to progress. You also have ye olden PDA which will show you a silhouetted shape of the item you are searching for or you can click on the buttons to get actual location hints. There are mundane tasks that require back and forthing as you find a light bulb in one scene and take the bulb to another scene etc. There are occasional mini games such as guessing the safe's combination with only three color choices, or using a set of keys on the first row of drawers, if the drawer turns green you have used the correct key, if it turns yellow you have chosen the correct key but wrong drawer and if it turns red that key doesn't go to any drawer and you rearrange your key selection using those clues on the next line of drawers until you get all of the correct keys into the correct drawers by trial and error.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ONE OF THE MOST FRUSTRATING BEGINNINGS Forgive me - it is late but this has been something that has troubled me periodically recently when finding a conventional HOG to try out. I was expecting this game to be that. Boy, was I wrong. I wanted to get a taste of this in the trial version and it was not what I expected. I have been playing HOG for a very long time and so after reading the reviews I honestly thought this would be just that. At a time when I was tired and wanting to play a simple HO, I found it most frustrating to encounter problem solving areas in order to reach the HO section. I only wanted to have a straight HOG without the extraneous additional problem solving, brain teaser, problems first. Don't get me wrong, there are times when I thoroughly enjoy the extra puzzles and mystery finding games within but there are other times when I just want to play a traditional HOG. This was one of those times. If you are looking for a simple HOG this time around, I cannot recommend this game. If you are expecting and wanting to problem solve from the get-go then you will likely enjoy this.
