Mystery Case Files: 13th Skull is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 238.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still My Favorite I have played countless games since The 13th Skull came out, and have many favorites But to this day, this game remains my favorite of all time. Unlike a lot of people, I LOVE the use of live actors. It brings reality to the game play. Better than average or even cartoonish depictions of the characters. This game provides a wonderful atmosphere. You almost feel as though you too are in the swamps. The music is perfect for both the story line and the location in deep Louisiana. Story was intriguing and kept my interest the whole time. Was surprised at the ending. I thought this game deserves a bit of a nudge, being so many years have past since it came out. It will always be my number one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved this game!! I've played this game a few times, putting it away and then playing again a year or so later, never get tired of it. Story line was good, I LOVED THE GRAPHICS AND SCENERY!! I want another game just like this one but maybe a camping story. With lakes, hiking, waterfalls, night scenes, canoeing. I'm getting a little tired of all the dark games, I'm not a prude, it's just getting old that's all. How about a camping story, and not with lost kids, maybe a secret world found in an underground cave while camping, hiking and white water rafting in the Grand Canyon? Come on Developers, I've seen sooooo many people posting what I've said about getting tired of the same ole same ole stuff. You could have a lot of money in your pockets if you'd make some fun games, like.....a woman/man finds themselves suddenly single and the kids are grown and they open up a book store in a small town by the beach or woods and some of the books are magical and transport certain people who come in store to someplace else for awhile? Or a school teacher who takes her/his class on a field trip and they end up lost in a National Park and have to save themselves from the elements..i.e. find a cave without a bear in it, or build a make shift shelter from the things found in a forest, start a fire from scratch, there are millions of other things to make besides demons, vampires and ghosts. Just saying, but yes, I definitely recommend this game, it's one of my favorites!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I give this 13 points! The graphics in this is excellent it seems so lifelike. The humor had me laughing so hard. I love those sassy characters they are awesome. The difficulty is just right not too hard not too easy. The ending really surprised me I love a good mystery so while playing I was trying to solve it. I'm usually very good at solving mysteries but the solution to this really surprised me I never saw it coming. The perfect surprise ending I loved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HELLO?? *tapping monitor* ANYBODY OUT THERE?? I have played this game several times over the years, and this is my review...#224. I don't know if anybody ever looks at the "newest first" heading, but just in case, hiya!! I rarely play a game again, as once I know the ending the thrill is kind of gone for me, but there are a handful that I go back to, from time to time, as they stand out in my memory. This is one of those. Fun Factor, Visual/Sound, and Storyline...all very good. The HOP's were well drawn and clever. Fit in well. Not boring. The mini-games were excellent throughout. I rarely use a hint/skip button, and had to suffer through loosing a half dozen games of checkers before I found the three layer hints and/or skip. Oh so glad I did!! I skipped. Your objectives/tasks are listed for you, which you need to complete...otherwise your inventory would become so large as to be unmanageable. Accomplish and proceed. Also, you must stay alert and take note of each scene carefully. Example: Some folks, in reviews, seem to have had trouble with the toilet. The bartender has just told you that Lamont fixes the toilets. YOU'VE tried and can't figure it out, but you have seen the payphone, office with employee phone numbers, and you have a quarter in your inventory. Um, what would be your guess as to what to do?? Bingo! The map is not teleporting, but useful to get your bearings. It is integral toward the end of the game. It is probably best if Beginners hold off on this game, but definitely remember it for later on down the road. Try before you buy. I hope you enjoy it! Happy gaming!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved Just About Everything About it! This is probably my 15th Hidden Object Game on Big Fish but my first review. Some games I enjoyed to various degrees but I will say 13th Skull was my favorite of all. I know some players are saying it was too difficult but I got great satisfaction from figuring out the puzzles. I did have to have help on the canons but since the code to lift them varies with each game, it wasn't the answers I sought but HOW to find the answer. So I did figure the code out myself. I noticed the second time I played some of the puzzles (The final skull pattern, the fountain, the canons etc.) changed so they had to be solved all over again. I really liked the vignettes, I think Vinton trying to "bag a Hunnie" was my fav. It was an around fun game that I enjoyed so much I replayed it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding This is a game dated 2010 that's why I think it's extraordinaire. It has stunning graphics, good lenght, a lot of backtracking, interesting puzzles. The only complaint is the number of dialogs that slow down the pace of the game and the sparkles even in advanced mode.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best MCF game MCF's are by far my favorite to play. Graphics are the best, great story line, challenging and I love, love, love the real people interaction. 13th Skull has been my favorite of all the MCF games I've played. I look forward to seeing more of this type of game from them. Thanks for keeping the games entertaining, fun and fresh.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It feels like you're in the Bayou! This is by far the most amazing and thrilling game I've played! I can't start to describe how you feel so immersed in the gameplay that you believe you're actually in the old plantation mansion or in the swampy bayous of Lousiana. The puzzles are fun and are challenging enough to keep your interest going. The integration of FMV and interactive characters is done so well that you believe you're there talking them in person. BFG - if you're reading this review, please make a sequel to the 13th Skull!!
